The Charger Production Pressure Blast Machine uses a large 1.0 cubic foot capacity ASME Coded pressure pot to pneumatically push the abrasive to the part using the nozzle ID size and blasting pressure to determine the compressed air usage. Pressure Blasters require less cfm to create the same abrasive velocity during operation. We built this super-flexible two-station blasting system for Gary Kehrer at Platinum Performance Group in Sunnyvale, TX. Gary works on aircraft engines such as the Lycoming prop engine cases pictured above. There is also a photo of the welded steel tubing that works as an engine mount to hold those engines in. They are stripped down to remove paint and magnafluxed, Gary’s shop does it all. He also works on Continental flat 6’s, race boats, aluminum magnesium heads from different manufacturers.
