PORCELAIN SIGN COLLECTION

he Ande Rooney Sign Collection reflects the American entrepreneurial spirit when advertising had wit,charm and old fashioned sensibility! We proudly offer our complete collection of signs and magnets authentically reproduced in porcelain enamel on steel, lithographed tin plate and embossed steel. ®

We have separated the catalog into three sections, noting the three sign categories by material — Porcelain on Steel, Tin Plate and Embossed Steel. Each process creates a different look and offers different price points.

The porcelain signs are reproductions utilizing the same process popularized in the early 1900’s. The colors are not paints but finely ground glass crystals which, when kiln fired at 1350˚F, fuse to the heavy steel plate. Each color is applied and fired separately, creating a durable, lustrous and rust resistant product.

The colors are not paints but finely ground glass crystals which, when kiln fired at 1350˚F, fuse to the heavy steel plate. Each color is applied and fired separately, creating a durable, lustrous and rust resistant product.
