• Tonight is the debut of the Trail Blazers City Edition Uniform. • The uniform is made from sustainable materials and is inspired by our community and culture. • “Rip City” across the chest represents the spirit of our fans and culture of the region established back in 1970-71 during our first season. • The tone-on-tone plaid is a nod to our 1977 championship coach, Dr. Jack Ramsay, and his unique and bold plaid wardrobe. It is also a tribute to the Northwest trend-setting plaid patterned fashions over the decades. • The Portland Flag, which is represented on the waistband of the shorts as well as an embellishment on the jersey, represents the forest that surrounds our city, the intersections of major rivers, the local agriculture and the city center.
