RIP CITY TONIGHT’S STAT

The Trail Blazers have teamed up with Urban Gleaners and Levy Restaurants to make sure all excess food from the Moda Center goes to local children and families to help alleviate hunger. We recovered 8,021 pounds of reusable food from the Rose Quarter this past season for a total of 22,036 meals donated to kids and families in need in the last three years.

TONIGHT’S QUOTE

“What we find in our community is that people don’t have time to cook, they’re often working several jobs, by the end of the day they or their kids are just using the microwaves. Because of our partnership with the Trail Blazers, we suddenly have nutritious, prepared food to provide to families who need it.” — Tracy Oseran, Urban Gleaners
