Madisyn
MONTGOMERY Nominate a CarMax Teen Captain Madisyn is currently a junior at Oregon City High School where she spends her time seeking new ways to make a positive difference in her community. While maintaining a strong 3.94 GPA, Madisyn also focuses her time being involved with Girl Scouts for America, National Honors Society Board, Oregon’s Teen Youth Line, Oregon City High School Varsity Golf and Oregon’s Student Capital Ambassador Leaders. She holds numerous leadership positions as well, including Jr. Class President, a Nordstrom Teen Ambassador, President of Oregon Association of Student Council, and founder of her own organization, Continue to Find Kindness. In 2012, Madi recognized an opportunity to confront bullying in her community. She found that students educating students about recognizing and resolving bullying and finding kindness is better received than if taught by adults. As President of CTFK, Madi has put together an organization to include 2 adult board members and 9 student members to meet twice a month to discuss, create and challenge bullying in local schools. With an initial goal of making a difference in just one girl’s life, she has expanded her organization to impact over 2000 kids in her local community. Madisyn sees no limit to what she can accomplish when uniting and empowering her peers and community. Congratulations to Madisyn Montgomery on being recognized as the March 2nd CarMax Teen Captain!
