BOYS & GIRLS CLUB FALL JAMBOREE TAKEOVER AND COACHES CLINIC

KIDS PRESS CONFERENCE

On Saturday, September 30th the Boys & Girls Clubs of Portland launched their fall season of basketball through the Rip City Academy Program. Trail Blazers Youth Coaches hosted a basketball clinic, focusing on enhancing fundamentals of the game. Following the clinic, a Positive Coaching Alliance Certified Trainer and Trail Blazers Youth Coach provided coaches with a 1-hour coaching clinic. The coach’s clinic provided coaching tips to encourage equal play and opportunity for Rip City Academy athletes.

During Wells Fargo Fan Fest on October 1st, Rip City Academy Program athletes participated in a kids-only press conference. The press conference provided an opportunity for young athletes to ask Portland Trail Blazer Players unique questions about their basketball development, career path and more.

JUNIOR WHEEL BLAZERS COURT TAKEOVER & SCRIMMAGE

BOYS & GIRLS CLUB DEDICATION

During Wells Fargo Fan Fest on October 1st, Junior Wheel Blazers and Rip City Academy athletes took the court and participated in a team scrimmage. Following the scrimmage, youth athletes had the opportunity to participate in a high five tunnel for team captains Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum as they took the court for a Q&A with fans!

On October 2nd, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Portland in partnership with Nike and the Trail Blazers celebrated the groundbreaking of the new Boys & Girls Club of Rockwood. During the event, CJ McCollum spoke about his excitement to introduce his second dream center with the club, and Pat Connaughton joined Trail Blazers Youth Coaches to host a basketball clinic for youth in attendance.

The Trail Blazers believe our home court extends far beyond the arena and everything we do in our lives makes an impact. We encourage fans to join us in our efforts to protect our planet and our community to ensure a brighter future for generations to come.

The Trail Blazers strive to ensure that every child has the opportunity to graduate from high school. We support youth in hitting the key benchmarks that ensure this achievement through their education.
