BUILDING BLOCKS 2 SUCCESS WHO WE ARE Building Blocks 2 Success (BB2S) has been operating since 2008 on the principles of empowerment using STEM as the incentive for learning. BB2S serves youth identified as at-risk, lower economic status, and has priority focus on youth of color. BB2S aims to get youth excited about STEM through creative, fun, team-building, and educational STEM related activities. Our curriculum is hands on and it teaches a fundamental set of skills that promote life-long learning. BB2S serves approximately 250 youth ages 4-14 in a classroom type setting on a college campus. “By being on a college campus we set the expectation that college is a reality.� Using a series of STEM challenges that are both fun and educational, we build our students confidence that they can do anything they put their minds to.
