PEANUT BLAZER & JELLY NIGHT PRESENTED BY DAVE'S KILLER BREAD SUNDAY, DECEMBER 8 • ISSUE 4.2
TRAIL BLAZERS VS THUNDER
MODA CENTER • PORTLAND, OREGON
TRAIL BLAZERS GAME PROGRAM • WELCOME
WELCOME TO
RIP CITY Thank you, Rip City, for joining us tonight in celebrating our new partnership with Dave’s Killer Bread, the official bread of the Portland Trail Blazers. We’ve teamed up to create the Peanut Blazer & Jelly sandwich, the official PB&J of the Trail Blazers, comprised of Dave’s Killer Bread, Wild Friends Classic Creamy Peanut Butter and Crofter’s Morello Cherry Jam. The Peanut Blazer & Jelly can be enjoyed at the game tonight and throughout the season at the Crafters Yeti’s stand at C13 in Kid City. And, all ingredients can be found at your local Fred Meyer so you can bring the Trail Blazers home with you. Make sure to be on the lookout for ways to save dough on Dave’s Killer Bread and win prizes at your local Fred Meyer.

TRAIL BLAZERS GAME PROGRAM • BLAZERDANCER FEATURE
MADY YEARS AS A BLAZERDANCER: ROOKIE
WHAT INSPIRES YOU TO DANCE? Having the physical ability and opportunity to do something every day that I don’t just enjoy, but I love, inspires me to dance. I fell in love with dance when I was 5 years old and I never looked back. My passion for dance and performing just continues to grow with each new opportunity.
practice persistence. Your potential is endless! “Courage is going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm.” - Winston Churchill WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES? CrossFit, being a dog mom, brunching and watching Christmas movies
WHAT ARE SOME LITTLE-KNOWN FACTS ABOUT YOURSELF YOU WANT OTHERS TO KNOW? I know every word to the movie “Elf,” I have my degree in Hospitality Management from UNLV and my favorite food is cereal. WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR MOST MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE AS A BLAZERDANCER? So far, my most memorable experience as a BlazerDancer has been participating in our Opening Night halftime show with Rip City Crew and the Stunt Team. It was inspiring to bring all three teams together as one unit to produce an incredible halftime performance. That was the first night I truly got to experience the energy and excitement of Rip City. I still get chills thinking about it and I’ll never forget how amazing that moment was. IF YOU COULD GIVE ADVICE TO ASPIRING YOUNG DANCERS, WHAT WOULD YOU TELL THEM? Don’t give up on your dreams! Although they might seem out of reach, it is amazing how much you can accomplish when you set a goal, work hard and

DESCRIBE YOUR ROLE AND WHAT YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES ARE WITH THE TRAIL BLAZERS. â–¶ As the Director of Equity and Inclusion, I lead the equity and inclusion work for the company, which includes staff training, strategic planning and managing our inclusion council. The easiest way to describe my role is that every day I get to help devise innovative ways to make sure all our staff, fans and community feel seen, valued and heard.

TRAIL BLAZERS GAME PROGRAM • EMPLOYEE FEATURE
WHAT IS THE FAVORITE PART OF YOUR JOB? ▶ My favorite part would be the fact that I am constantly in a learning space. Growth is something that is very important to me, so to be in a role where learning and education are critical to my success is the most ideal situation I could ask for. WHAT DEI EFFORTS STAND OUT TO YOU AT THE TRAIL BLAZERS RELATIVE TO YOUR PREVIOUS EXPERIENCES? ▶ The fact that we are doing it and doing it in a way that is authentic to us, our organization and community. We have been intentional about the way we are doing this work. We did not start with a press release or big announcement, we started with years of consciousness-raising before anyone outside of our organization even knew that we had invested additional resources into making sure our organization was living the value of inclusion. What is really cool about how we approach DEI, is that we provide numerous different ways for staff to engage in the work. If someone likes creating and driving strategy, we have a place for them. If someone likes planning cultural celebrations and learning by being in the community, we have a place for them. If someone likes more formal education or experiential learning, we have a place for them. I have never experienced an organization truly trying to connect with their employees in a way that resonates best with them.
IF YOU WEREN'T IN YOUR CURRENT ROLE, WHAT WOULD YOU BE DOING? ▶ There are two answers to this question. With my current abilities and gifts, I would probably be doing community engagement work in the public health sector, which is my background. If I was able to go back in time to my childhood and convince myself to stay in those dance classes, I would totally be pursuing a career in music/entertainment, or something I would love to do is broadcasting. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE HAPPY HOUR SPOT IN PORTLAND? ▶ I love UCHU Sushi, and you can't go wrong with a visit to Olive Or Twist. WHAT SONG DO YOU CURRENTLY HAVE ON REPEAT? ▶ Intro by DaBaby ripcity est. 1970

ALL THINGS BEING EQUAL...
Here at the Rose Quarter
Celebrating Five Decades of Extraordinary Employees Judy Finley embodies what it means to “create extraordinary moments” for guests at the Rose Quarter. After all, she has spent the past 19 years doing just that for each and every person she encounters.
JUDY FINLEY
Judy has lived in the Portland area for 25 years and stumbled across the job while attending a Portland Fire game nearly two decades ago. She’s been a big part of the Guest Experience team ever since.
You might recognize Judy from gate A15. “I’ve been working at that gate for eight or nine years, and I have a lot of responsibilities there. A lot of fans really like me. They believe if I scan their tickets, the Blazers will win!” Her colleagues recognize Judy as the candy lady. “I buy bags of treats. Everyone gets one when they start their shift, that’s why I’m known as that - and I love it.” When she isn’t being the candy lady, or scanning tickets, Judy helps by giving directions and interacting with fans. Her favorite part of the job is getting to meet new people every day. Because of that, she doesn’t plan on going anywhere soon. “I plan on working here forever, it’s a really good company.” Next time you see Judy make sure to say hello and thanks – you’ll be glad you did!
