#TICE2023
Dear fellow learning leader,
Greetings and a warm welcome to the 2023 Training Industry Conference & Expo (TICE)!
It is truly an honor to witness the growth of this community year after year — we anticipate 650 learning and development professionals to gather over the course of this week.
One of the things that makes TICE so special are the connections you make and the conversations you engage in to gain new perspectives to apply in your context of work. As the learning leader’s role continues to evolve, we have plenty to discuss this week.
From exploring artificial intelligence in learning to creating career pathways and from learner engagement to proving the impact of learning through data literacy, we have curated a diverse range of sessions to meet your needs. Kicking off each day of TICE, our keynote speakers will inspire you to ask powerful questions, reflect on the skills you need to succeed and connect learning to business value.
Of course, we all know learning happens outside of the classroom, too. In the exhibit hall, you will find a wide range of learning partners who are ready to teach you how their unique approaches and solutions can enhance your learning programs. Learn from one another during the networking opportunities this week, like roundtable discussions, TICE Happy Hour or the Litmos Networking BBQ.
The opportunity to connect with like-minded professionals, engage in meaningful conversations and explore innovative solutions is one that holds immense value. I am grateful to be a part of this remarkable community, and I look forward to witnessing the impact that this week will have on your professional journeys.
Once again, thank you for being a part of our learning community. We can’t wait to learn alongside you during TICE!
Sincerely,

Like a really bad horror movie, today we’re faced with the threat of artificial intelligence (AI) invading the workforce, making employees feel even more vulnerable and compelled to demonstrate value to their employers. Fearbased performance is nothing new, of course, but has it ever worked? Employers have tried point-in-time solutions for the masses for decades to reduce burnout, improve performance and generate greater well-being to minimal employee success and lower profits. The bottom line is: We’ve stopped learning, and as a result, we stopped succeeding. It’s time to start exercising our learning muscles to improve our learning fitness. People, organizations and societies breaking free from repetitive can-kicking to a more inclusive and dynamic ideology of learning won’t be easy. That’s why it needs to start with your people first. We’ll show you how.
Join us in this session, with your host, Kristy McCann Flynn, co-founder and CEO of SkillCycle, as she show how you can adopt a continuous learning mindset to drive high performance, engagement and revenue to stay ahead of AI.
