BATHING AREA FOR DOGS
We have a full installed bathing area to your disposal which is open on Saturday from 7 am to 6 pm and on Sunday from 7am to 3pm.
FREE DOG SITTER
Bring your dog, together with his cage and our professional Dog Sitter will take care of your dogs while you attend seminars, compete in the competition or go to the party on Saturday evening. The Dog Sitter can be found in the reception area in a separate room. This service is free, there is no need to pre-register. It is absolutely forbidden to leave any dog in any vehicle at any time during Groomania. Dog Sitter opening hours Saturday from 8am until 12pm Sunday from 8am until 6pm
SOLO CLIPPERS COMPETITION
This is a challenge for the trendy groomers who can style any breed using only clippers. The hair may be lifted with combs or fingers and any kind of clippers with or without snap on combs is allowed. Scissors are not allowed during this competition, after the competition ends the competitors can have 10 minutes to use the scissors for tidying and finishing touches. You will be disqualified if you use the scissors during the competition! (Open to all breeds)

We listened to your feedback and made some changes to our seminar setup: - This year every seminar and speaker will have its’ own dedicated room to keep things close and personal - The spoken language will be mostly English (unless told otherwise) and will not be translated to guarantee a more natural flow during the session. - Asking questions during or after the seminar is always possible and advisable! - During registration, let us know which one of the seminars you will most likely attend to so we can act accordingly. - Discrete switching between rooms remains possible and first come, first serve will apply to guarantee yourself a seat.
NEW CATEGORIES
The Asian Style During this new category at Groomania you will be judged on the Asian look and exuberant creativity and of course the grooming and scissoring techniques. Accessories such as bows, ribbons, decorated collars and clothing are not only allowed but desirable. As long as everything is applied during the competition time and your work is visible at all times. It takes 2 to groom: is a challenging freestyle class for a couple to work on one dog at the same time. You are mainly judged on how well you coordinate the grooming and styling together, but techniques and balance are just as important. Similar clothing and accessories are not a must but highly recommended. Practice and have fun together and take home the best couple trophy. Groomania’s goal is to combine fun and competition, so we challenge you to enjoy above all. Team competition at Groomania 4 groomers from any country, even mixed countries, can form a team. Team points can only be gained in the 4 official classes: »» Handstripping »» Pure Breeds »» Spaniels & Setters »» Poodles To be a team, you need 1 member of the team in each class, no matter if it’s in open class or champion class. The best team is the team that gains the most points in the 4 official categories. If there’s a tie, the judges will decide who wins. You can only participate in one team and it’s important to make the registration in the following way: Each member of the team registers for the competition on the Groomania website. When all the team members are registered, 1 member sends a mail to info@groomania.be with the following info: »» The names of the team members »» Who competes in which class »» The team name, for example the Hairy Groomers. After you’ve made the right registration you will receive a mail back with your team number. Only then the team is fully registered.
We believe the above will remove unnecessary distractions and will bring even more quality to the table!

Return flights will be paid by Transgroom and Superzoo will offer 4 nights hotel accommodation with free entry to the show, the educational seminars and competition registration. The Best all round Groomer is the individual competitor who by winning in the 4 official categories gains the most points. In all categories the judging system is based on points. Each judge awards the competitors 10 points for the first place, 8 points for the second, 6 points for the third and 4 points for the fourth in each class.

Ilse who is a passionate animal lover started grooming in 2008 and specialized herself in Spaniels and Setters. After winning at confirmation dog shows and grooming competition it was very clear, and she made her dream career being a professional groomer. The Irish setters are taking her far beyond the Belgium border and there is plenty of adventure in her life. In 2010 she won the Spaniel class at Groomania, in 2011 at the dog show she not only won the title Dutch Champion but BIS. In 2012 she won reserve BIS in Golden groomer grooming competition in Liege, but she didn’t give up and won BIS in 2013. Currently she is very active at national and international dogs shows all over Europe and with great success. She is also breeding the Irish Setters with a big passion.

Victor is giving a demonstration with one of his favorite breeds: the Scottish Terrier. Victor is going to guide you through this demonstration with all his knowledge. And how do you turn your Scottie into a compact powerful package with the expression of a true Terrier? You will find the answers to these questions and more at this unique demonstration.

Dogs have always been an important part of Anne-Mie’s life. About 15 years ago she bought her first Cairn Terrier and that changed even her carreer, from bookkeeper to groomer. She occasionally breeds a litter under the affix ‘Marie’s Magic’, and her goal is keeping the appearance the wits and the spirit of the Cairn Terrier up to the standard. You can see her showing off her Cairns in beauty competitions in several countries. She considers a good groomer someone who respects the different coats of all breeds and the way of treating those coats and this is what she stands for.
For many grooming shops, Drop Coats are the base of our business. We see more drop coats in our shops than almost any other coat type. He opened the first salon in 1990 and has been working as a groomer till day. In 2009, he started taking part in grooming competitions, winning the title of Polish Winner and the Groomer of the Year. He is a Champion in the Spaniel & Setter, Handstripping and Scissoring categories.
