Louis is telling a story about his awful journey in Soviet Russia :
1994年，Louis正值人生低谷，甚至處於崩潰邊緣。 有一天在寒冷的莫斯科， Louis走入一個 深邃到似乎沒有盡頭的地下通道。裏面有人在拉小提琴， 周 圍圍滿了陌生人，每個人都在流淚，Louis也開始流淚。 这个场景在這裏就是如此正常。 一群身穿破舊成人西服的小孩兒從他們面前走過。那些西服又長又臟，他們的手都藏在長長的袖子裏， 你幾乎覺得曾經穿過這個西服的—他們的父親—都死了。 這個國家有很多這樣成群結隊的年輕人 “我甚至敢確定其中至少有一個小孩親手殺死了他的父親。” （觀眾笑） 這時Louis身旁的一名年 輕小夥 叫住了其中 領 頭 的孩子，說了幾句俄語，聳聳肩，孩子回應了幾句俄語， 也聳聳肩，並把手從寬大的袖口伸出，手中握著一管膠水。 年輕人把膠水拿過來，蹲下， 脫去靴子， 用膠水粘好已經掉了一半的鞋底，歸還膠水並道謝。 孩子接過膠水，拿鼻子吸了一下， 眼珠抽動並上翻了幾秒， 便如同什麽事兒都沒發生一般， 繼續平靜地領著夥伴們向前走。 Louis很吃驚，“這個國家 的悲慘程度之高以至於凝結出了這樣一種默契：我的鞋 破了，這有個小孩，well，那他的手裏肯定攥著一支膠水。” Louis看著那個小夥，小夥也看著他，突然笑了起來，Louis也開始放聲大笑。
Louis ends the story by saying: At that moment I realize, this is why I came here, to find out how bad life gets and when it is This bad it’s still Fucking Funny.
