“Let the Good Times Roll” 55th ANNUAL PALM DESERT GOLF CART PARADE

T

he 55th Annual Palm Desert Golf Cart Parade will take place on Sunday, October 27, 2019 on El Paseo Drive. Considered the “unofficial kick-off to the season,” this one-of-a-kind spectacle is the longest running parade in the Coachella Valley. This year’s winning theme, “Let the Good Times Roll” was entered by Palm Desert Resident, Lea Goodsell. “We are looking forward to bringing this theme to life. This parade is unique as it attracts children to senior citizens across the Coachella Valley and visitors from Los Angeles, San Diego and around the world. We are expecting at least 10,000 attendees to line the streets in support of this family friendly, community tradition,” said Todd Rhoden, Palm Desert Area Chamber of Commerce President & CEO. The World-Famous Palm Desert Golf Cart Parade originated in the early 1960s, put together by several individuals who just wanted to have fun. Today, it has grown to more than 80 creatively decorated golf cart floats, celebrities, local bands and dance groups marching down the beautiful El Paseo Shopping District. This collaboration of school groups, for-profit businesses, non-profit organizations and generous foundations make this event

a must-see experience for all ages. The event will kick off with a Rotary Pancake Breakfast at 8am and the Parade will close out the festivities stepping off at 1pm. There will be a new Pooch PAW-rade, Classic Cars from Jerry Martin Cruise Nights, Kid’s Play Zone, VIP and Senior Seating Sections, Food Truck Vendors, Beer & Wine Garden plus more activities to keep you entertained throughout the day. Thank you to the generous Title

Why I Started a Cannabis Business My Personal Cannabis Journey

C

annabis entered my life when my husband was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. He suffered from uncontrollable movement (dyskinesia) and tremors that conventional medicine was unable to control. It was so severe that he had difficulty eating and was unable to cut up his food. I was told CBD might help so I searched the web but found only conflicting information, very little of which I understood and trusted. Finally, in early 2016, we were given a bottle of CBD oil from a carefully researched grower and he started using it every day. After using the CBD oil for 6 weeks, my husband’s dyskinesia was completely under control. He has continued his use of the CBD oil and the dyskinesia has never returned. I started Cannabis Wellness Tours so

10

SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER 2019

that others can be spared the feelings of helplessness and confusion that I felt while trying to help my husband with his health issues. I want to share the wealth of information that I discovered, demystify this ancient medicine, and help remove the stigma associated with cannabis use. There are a multitude of misconceptions about cannabis and I want people to know that cannabis may be able to help them. My mission is to provide you with the tools you need to make informed decisions about cannabis consumption. We are not a “party bus.” No cannabis is consumed during the tour. At Cannabis Wellness Tours we provide an overview of cannabis terms, introduce you to the different strains of cannabis, explore various types of consumption, and guide you towards

sources of carefully researched and trusted information. I want you to feel confident and knowledgeable so that you know how to make the right choices for your needs.

The Integratron Guests say the Sound Bath is amazing! This historical structure is a resonant tabernacle and energy machine sited on a powerful geomagnetic vortex in the magical Mojave Desert. Its creator, George Van Tassel (1910-1978), claimed that the structure is based on the design of Moses’ Tabernacle, the writings of Nikola Tesla and telepathic directions from extraterrestrials. This one-of- a-kind 38-foot high, 55-foot diameter, all wood dome was designed to be an electrostatic generator for the purpose of rejuvenation and time travel.
