Northern Granite Belt
Heritage Wines
A short 30 minute drive from Warwick heading south brings you to the Northern Granite Belt. Surrounded by fruit trees and thriving vegetable farms, this is a prime location to collect your farm fresh produce. For those who love a drop from the vine, stop here for the ultimate in wine tasting. While enjoying a sample of the local vintage you are also likely to meet the owners of the vineyards and speak with the winemakers who make the wine you are sampling.
Heritage Estate Wines was established in 1992 by Bryce & Paddy Kassulke, converting an old brick cold stores at Cottonvale (Granite Belt, Queensland) into an atmospheric cellar door and creating a vineyard next door. This location is used for the growing and making of all their wines as well as special occasions such as weddings and corporate functions.
Winery - 747 Granite Belt Drive, Cottonvale Qld 4375 Enjoy the ambiance of tasting excellent award winning wines, situated in a yesteryear atmosphere of collectables and antique furniture. To complete the picture a warm, open log fire awaits, at the Cottonvale Cellar Door. Alternatively, stay in our romantic 140 year old ‘workers cottage’ nestled in the vineyard.
The Church - New England Highway, Thulimbah Qld 4376
This area was home to the returned soldiers from World War One and many of the small townships are named after locations where our Australian soldiers fought in France. Take a drive to Amiens and discover a part of our local Military history.
Our new Cellar Door is located 3 kilometres down the road opposite the “Big Apple” in a beautifully transformed old Church. It is the perfect place to learn about Queensland’s burgeoning wine industry, then relax with a great coffee and homemade cakes.
