Churchill
There are three distinct seasons to visit Churchill. In summer, Manitoba’s Hudson Bay is home to over 57,000 beluga whales, while birding and polar bear viewing round out a summer Arctic safari in July or August. October and November are peak polar bear season, the time of year when these iconic creatures gather along the shores of the Hudson Bay preparing to head out onto the sea ice. From February to March, Churchill is one of the best places in the world to view the northern lights.

Home to architectural wonders, cultural treasures and impressive green spaces, Winnipeg is a welcoming city with a rich history.
Qaumajuq houses thousands of pieces of Inuit art, the Canadian Museum for Human Rights tells the story of global human rights issues and The LeafCanada’s Diversity Gardens houses the world’s tallest indoor waterfall as well as horticultural biomes sure to warm your spirit on a cold day.
Beyond the Capital
Riding Mountain National Park is a four-season nature lover’s retreat, packed with wildlife, 400 kilometres of trails, and lakes for boating and fishing. Whiteshell Provincial Park is a yearround wilderness playground featuring rocky outcrops, dense forests and an abundance of lakes.
Whether it’s a workshop or guided hike through a sacred site, Indigenous experiences can be found throughout the province.
