Royal Roundup New Celebrity Cruises ship for Australia There’s only one thing that’s better than a modern luxury Celebrity Cruises ship – a second one! Following the recent success of Celebrity Solstice’s debut season down under, Celebrity Cruises has announced that Celebrity Solstice will be joined by Celebrity Century in the summer 2014-15 season. It will be a “welcome home” of sorts for Celebrity Century, having sailed a season here in summer 2011-12. Set to also be as big a hit locally, Celebrity Century’s sailings will bring the cruise line’s total offering to 27 cruises in the region for the 2014-15 summer. She will offer a range of itineraries from eight to twenty-three nights, departing from Sydney, Fremantle and Auckland. Fares for Celebrity Century’s 2014-15 season start from $999 per person for a seven-night Tasmania cruise departing Sydney 15 December 2014.
An AzAmazing Evening to remember Creating memories of a lifetime, Azamara Club Cruises chose the beautiful port town Sete, France as the fitting backdrop to the launch of its new one-of-a-kind events, AzAmazing Evenings. The inaugural AzAmazing Evenings event was launched by CEO Larry Pimentel and wife Sandi during a very special Azamara Quest itinerary along the Cote D’Azur, where guests were treated to a range of special experiences created just for them, including a demonstration of ‘jouste,’ or water jousting, a regionally historic sport. Music from a lively band also heralded the jouste as guests were led through the streets of Sete to the Grand Canal. The festivities continued with local wine and cuisine, with a fireworks display late in the evening to cap off the evening.
Designed to be once-in-a-lifetime experiences, the AzAmazing Evenings are created by Azamara to capture and unravel to its guests a destination’s true culture – sights, sounds and tastes that are mostly only found among the nightlife. The AzAmazing Evenings are individually created on the cruise line’s mostly non-repeating itineraries and are exclusive to the cruise line, and best yet, they are complimentary for all guests.
