Day 1
Puerto Williams 4 Days / 3 Nights Program Arrival to Puerto Williams: We will arrive in Puerto Williams at 11.30 approx. on the flight from Punta Arenas (not included). We will go to the town-welcoming hostel where we will stay, and after settling in, we will go to Villa Ukika, a place where we will share a delicious lunch with the Yagán community.
History and Yagán legacy: By afternoon we will visit the Martín Gusinde Anthropological Museum, a place that exhibits the most important aspects of Yagan culture, people and their ancestors; and of the western settlement of the southern tip of America. A tour to learn the value of natural and cultural heritage of this area. After visiting the museum we will take a nice afternoon snack and we will go to the hostel.

Yagรกn ancestral culture: Today we will learn about the Yagan culture from its cultural and natural sites. We will go to Mejillones Bay, where will visit some conchales (middens), Yagรกn people ancient settlements and archaeological sites, places that tell us how Yagรกn people lived thousands of years ago. We will also have the privilege of visiting the Iaxau (Chiejaus), a Yagรกn ceremonial construction, in which young people passed from childhood to adulthood in a ritual in which tools and values were delivered to their new stage. After we got involved with Yagรกn culture, we will enjoy a nice lunch prepared with seafood in Mejillones Bay. Upon returning to Puerto Williams we will share a nice afternoon snack and we will go to rest to start the next day with lots of energy.

Uphill: By morning we will undertake the adventure of climbing La Bandera hill (the flag), at which the body will activate and reaching the Chilean flag crowned summit will reward the fatigue, where we will enjoy the breathtaking panoramic views of the Beagle Channel and part of Navarino Island offered by the heights. We will recover our energies with a delicious lunch at Puerto Williams.
To the sea: In the afternoon we will venture into the sea. On sea kayaks, we will cross the bays near Puerto Williams and respectfully we will observe the different birds that inhabit these southern shores.
