Life in Santiago Cultural encounters in one place
Program: Full day Santiago: We will get together at Plaza de Armas, the main square of the city. We will visit its surroundings; the central Market, Forestal Park and Santa Lucia hill. During this activity we will be able to learn about the history and culture of this city. Mapuche community in Santiago: We’ll visit the Mapuche community that lives in La Pintana commune. We will visit a Ruka (traditional Mapuche housing) and we will be able to learn about their history, culture, cosmovision and trades meanwhile we enjoy a typical Mapuche lunch. Quinta Normal and Memory Museum: On our way back we will visit Quinta Normal and the impressive Memory museum, where we will be able to learn about the political history of Chile. Wines and Poets: To finish our day trip, we will visit the Bellavista neighborhood, where we will enjoy a win tasting honoring the world known poet Pablo Neruda.
