Terms and Conditions Prices and Currencies The quotation is in the traveller local currency (USD/EUR/GBP/AUD/etc.) but the transaction will be made in CLP (Chilean Pesos). The initial value of the quote is subject to fluctuations on the currencies, nevertheless it will be respected for 7 days after being delivered. After these 7 days, the quote may be modified maintaining the value in CLP, except if there are changes in the prices of services. Every change will be properly informed to the customer. Booking and Payment Travolution does not do financial management, as part of our fair trade policies we look to pay our suppliers in advance as previously agreed with them. Before proceeding to book the services, the passenger will be asked to sign the “Confirmation form” and make the payment of 25% of the total price. If the amount of some prepaid services (flights, buses, etc.) exceeds the 25% of the total price, Travolution will charge the necessary percentage to guarantee them. If this is the case, we will inform the customer in advance. The remaining amount must be paid at least 15 days prior to the first service hired with us. If the booking is made with less than 15 days in advance, the total payment will have to be required at the time of confirmation. In the booking process after the confirmation payment, some services may not be available anymore and Travolution will proceed to look for similar alternatives, always asking for the client’s approval. Payment Methods They payment can be made through the methods listed below. The transaction cost is a percentage over the total cost of the trip plus the currency difference of the passenger’s financial institution. The client must afford this cost.
Bank Transfer (fees will depend on the amount of the transaction and institution) Electronic International Transfer: Western Union, Money Gram, Transferwise, etc. (fees will depend on the amount of the transaction and platform used) Paypal (7%) Credit Card, through webpay.cl (3,75%)
Changes and Cancellations of services within a program If one service provider institution does not allow changes or cancellations (flight tickets, accommodation, etc.), the terms and conditions applied will depend on that company and the amount charged will include Travolution management costs. For other services, the conditions detailed below will apply.
1. Changes If the traveller needs to modify a booked service, Travolution will do its best to change it, but is not responsible if it cannot be adjusted to the modifications requested by the client. In this scenario, the sales team will try to reach an agreement with the traveller before cancellation policies apply. Modifications made during the trip must be properly informed to the travel agent or guide and Travolution will try to adjust the itinerary for the customers benefit. The company has the right to change/modify confirmed itineraries due to the impossibility of carrying out activities because of weather conditions, cut roads or other operational difficulties beyond the reach of the institution and that may affect travellers safety. With the client’s approval, Travolution will look for alternatives to replace those activities. If there are no options and the service provider agrees with it, the sales team will proceed to reimburse clients for the cancelled activities. 2.
Cancellations The cancellation policies apply because our suppliers need to cover their direct and opportunity costs and Travolution, it’s management costs. The policies apply according to the details below. Anticipation
Cancellation Charge Amount
15 days prior the first hired service
25% of the services costs will be charged*. If the sum deposited exceeds the 25% of the costs due to prepaid services, this amount will be charged**.
Between 15 and 8 days prior the first hired service
50% of the services costs will be charged*. If the sum deposited exceeds the 50% of the costs due to prepaid services, this amount will be charged**.
7 days or less prior the first hired service***
100% of the services costs will be charged*.
* The amount charged includes Travolution management costs. ** The amount charged includes Travolution management costs and it will depend on the third party policies as detailed below. *** As our services are provided mainly by communities, not all of them are able to be booked with less than 7 days in advance. Travolution can’t guarantee all the services offered.

Third Parties
a.
Flights If Travolution manages the flight tickets and the passenger needs to cancel or modify them, the terms and conditions applied will depend on the airline company. For cancellations, only the boarding taxes refund can be assured. If the airline cancels the flight, our sales team will do its best to modify the itinerary according to the changes proposed by the airline. However, Travolution will not be liable for reimbursing cancelled flights. b. Accommodation If the passenger needs to cancel or modify the accommodation, the terms and conditions applied depend on the respective company providing the service.
Health Issues & Accidents Travolution trips do not include travel insurance. It is the responsibility of the client to acquire one if needed. Our company works with guides trained in emergency situation with adequate knowledge of the places and cultures. They won’t expose customers to risky situations and they will have the authority to decide if any activity should be modified or cancelled due to security reasons. If the travellers do not follow their recommendations, Travolution is not responsible for the consequences of what may happen, including any extra cost. The company will not be responsible for any losses, robberies, hurts or deaths caused directly or indirectly by accidents or conditions beyond the control of the institution (earthquakes, extreme weather conditions, fires, pick-pockets, etc.).
Special Needs Travolution would do its best to meet any special need timely stated by clients, including specific diets. We ask the customer to let the sales team know as soon as possible.
VISAS and Passports Travolution is not responsible for VISA acquisitions by travellers, nevertheless, any support required will be provided (letters, information, etc.). The customer must be responsible for the passport validity and for giving us precise information about their documents. If there is any problem with services purchased by Travolution due to wrong information given by the traveller, the company will not be responsible.
Donations As part of our sustainable policies, we include a discretionary donation of $50 USD per person for our alliances with WINTA (World Indigenous Tourism Alliance) and/or Torres del Paine Legacy Fund. As part of our mission of helping in the development of rural and indigenous communities, we collaborate with WINTA in the strengthening of the indigenous tourism network in Latin America. Torres del Paine Legacy Fund it’s a program that seeks to develop a sustainable growth for tourism in the region, preserving the environment inside and outside the national park and the cities nearby. We strongly encourage our travellers to include these donations in their hired services.
