This thriving community welcomes the end of winter’s cold by hosting an array of farmers’ markets, musical performances, and art and skilled crafts exhibitions and sales throughout the summer.

Handmade with love

Featuring the work of thirty-three talented artisans, the annual Craft Fair takes place on the lawns of the United Church on Saturday, June 24 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

From hand-sewn treasures and jewellery to stained glass, pottery, wood crafts and tole painting, there is a treasure waiting for everyone.

From field to table

The Arundel Farmers Market is the community hub. Held outdoors on the grounds of the United Church every Saturday from July 8 through October 7, it features twenty-three vendors offering a delicious array of fresh vegetables, organic fruits, eggs, meat and baked goods from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Now in its fifth year, the market offers fresh produce from the Arundel farms of Bettina and Pascal, Bio Sauvage, Les Serres Provost, Runaway Creek, Aux Jardins de Philippe... Nearby farmers join in as well, including Singing Goose Farm, Jardins du Fin Renard, Les Jardins Montcalm and La Ferme de Gabrielle et Lise.

To expand the experience, artisans will be selling their wares and local musicians will provide a delightful backdrop for a glorious day in the country.

Organizer Janet Thomas tells us that, “Our market’s mission is to build local food security by supporting young families on the farm. At the same time, we support local artists, artisans and musicians.”

Country sounds

Music abounds throughout the summer, from the concert series at the United Church to jams very every second Thursday evening at the Arundel Legion Hall plus weekends at P'tites Folies Café.
