A beautiful sea of white ball gowns graced the Phoenician Resort shortly before Christmas. A tradition since the early 1960s, Desert Foundation Auxiliary presented another group of talented young women to society. This year the spectacular debutante ball was chaired by Jill Hegardt and Jill Ellis. They did a splendid job making sure that every last detail of the event, rich in history and tradition, came off beautifully. David Beckham and Alfred Hackbarth presented the lovely young ladies to the audience. Proceeds from the fabulous evening served to benefit Arizona Helping Hands and that should make everyone very happy.
