Jimmy Walker is a man who has seen it and done it all. His approach to all things famous has made him an iconic force in philanthropy, as well as in the ever-complicated world of celebrity shuffling. For more than six decades Mr. Walker has dedicated himself to helping others while bringing people together at the same time for fantastic results.

In his memoir Mr. Walker gives us a glimpse into his structured Midwest upbringing and his decision to attend ASU in the early 1960s. At the time Phoenix had no freeways and little commerce. It did however have people that need life insurance, something he excelled at selling since his teenage years. But the Valley had more than just people who need insurance. It had the sun and in the 1970s exuded a resort-like setting on a bit larger scale than Palm Springs. This would help Mr. Walker establish several celebrity tennis tournaments and later Celebrity Fight Night where he would become iconic.

This book is far more than interesting facts about athletes and movie starts. It’s about cultivating relationship between people and they way you treat them and being able to pick up the phone and ask someone for a favor. The result is a rewarding journey about not only people and different personalities but the philanthropic things we can accomplish together. We teach people how to treat us. Jimmy Walker understands the value in that and created a monumental charity gala and so much more along the way. Jimmy is a great American and this is a tremendous book. Anyone who attends sporting or charity events should read this. It’s that good!
