Samuel and Lindsay met at a Halloween party in October of 2015. They shared their first kiss moments after meeting and the rest is history! The proposal was amazing and very anticipated! Right after Christmas, Lindsay's family went on vacation to Hawaii and Samuel came along with them. Lindsay figured Sam would propose sometime on the trip but she had no idea when and the week was dragging on waiting for it to happen! Finally on Thursday night, when Lindsay was getting ready for a dinner, Sam told her to hurry down to the beach with him before sunset and that she could finish getting ready for dinner afterwards. She walked down to the beach with him when she saw her family with cameras and a candle lit path leading to a huge heart and the words "Will You Marry Me?" written in the sand. Around the perimeter of the heart, there were photos of them over the years of them dating and a scattered red hibiscus flowers. "I will never forget that amazing night."
As far as style, Lindsay wanted it to be very boho. She always had an eye for rustic style as well. She decided to mixed the two styles. Originally when choosing colors, Lindsay wanted a lot a greenery but ultimately the bridesmaids dresses she found from Show Me Your Mumu is what inspired so many pops of pink and white floral. She had always been a girl who wondered why the designated "boy color" is blue because it has always been my color of choice and that's where the Groom and groomsman suit color inspiration came from. She wanted to mix all of her favorite colors, florals, and decor but have it all flow very seamlessly together. Mission Accomplished!

NAEEM KHAN Born and raised in Mumbai, Khan grew up in a world surrounded by culture, architecture, art, history and design. As a boy, he cultivated a vast knowledge of textiles under the watchful eyes of his grandfather and father, both of whom designed intricate clothing worn by Indian royal families. Khan ultimately moved to the United States as a teenager to become a designer and launched his career as an apprentice for legendary American designer Halston at the age of 20. During his time with Halston, he immersed himself in the ethos of modern restraint and learned the craft of draping and cutting fabric to create a clean, elegant and timeless silhouette. Khan eventually merged this design philosophy with the knowledge he gained from his family’s business to nurture his own unique style, and the Naeem Khan design aesthetic was born.

For the bride who prefers a look that’s less formal or structured than an updo with every strand in place, here’s an option that’s flowing, yet still puttogether. Try a beachy hairstyle with soft, loose waves. No tight curls or spirals, just lots of body and an effortless vibe. If you find that you love the style, but want to keep your hair away from your face, you can wear a flower crown or other headpiece that doubles as a headband, or pull the hair at the sides back in a fluffy braid. And while you can certainly pair such a relaxed hairstyle with light and fresh makeup, especially for a daytime wedding, it would not be overkill at all to give the eyes some smoky definition, with subtle earth tones enhancing the rest of the face. Using rosy or peachy nudes on the lips may be particularly appealing if you're going for more of a low-maintenance look, as you can easily reapply your lip color. Bright and dark lip shades require more effort and care, since any imperfections in application and wear throughout the day are more obvious with these hues. (Product recommendations: Melt Cosmetics has quality eyeshadows that blend like a dream. For this look, the shadows used are from their Rust Stack and Dark Matter Stack. On the lips, the lipstick shade “Summer,” also by Melt Cosmetics, was applied, followed by a clear gloss.) Makeup and Hair Artist: Lea Evangelista, 16 years pro, specializing in bridal, special occasion, and vintage-style makeup, with hairstyling services also available. ARTICLE BY DENI ANDERSON Many dream of sharing their lives with that special someone. Living with, growing, and learning each other, for some, is the easy part. For many, the biggest challenge is finding room to house each person’s possessions in one space. Let’s talk about sharing a popular space, your closet. Whether you decide to move into your significant other’s home or you’re starting out together in a new property, the process of organizing a closet is very similar. Below are simple methods in which you can begin implementing your items into a shared space. As a professional organizer, I follow a 5-step process that allows me the ability to organize with ease. This process saves time and ensures that I am effectively working all parts of the plan in an efficient manner. Step 1 – Planning Meet with your fiancé to discuss the particulars when, what, where, and how. When will the move will take place? What items will have to be housed in which closet(s)? How will we work together to ensure our goal is achieved? One of the most important aspects of planning is examining the square footage of the space versus the inventory of items that each person owns. This will help determine how much space is allocated to each person. During this step, I like to take measurements. If there is not enough space to house the items, this helps to determine if storage units will need to be utilized. I, personally, like to draw a sketch as a template.
This, coupled with the measurements, helps to determine the best area to place your belongings. Step 2-Preparation This step includes gathering all tools necessary to complete the job (storage bins, step stool, measuring tape, cleaning wipes). Shopping for organizational units and hangers is included in this step, as well. The units are not only great for storage, they also help to create a clean presentation. This is also a great time to consider using a uniform hanging system. Velvet hangers are my favorite! Step 3 – Purging Purging, sometimes called de-cluttering, is almost always necessary. Let’s just be open about this step. If the existing closet is filled to capacity, chances are there will not be adequate space for the other party to move in. What does that mean? Purging will be necessary in having a smooth transition. This is the time that choices must be made. Will you keep the item, donate to a charity, can you recycle it, or is it really trash? This will require going through your ready-towear apparel and accessories, piece by piece. Tip: if you have not worn an item within the past year, donate it. If the item is no longer appealing on you or to you, donate it. If the item has signs of wear (holes/tears), recycle the item as a cleaning rag or trash it. I would suggest that each person go through the purge process to ensure there is adequate space for everyone. If there are challenges with space, storing off-season apparel in bins is also an option.
Step 4 – Placement At this point, all space should be assigned to each spouse, making sure that each spouse has their own designated area. Separate merchandise by “like items” in an effort to determine where each category of clothing is going to “live”. Let me give a few examples: if you have high shelving, its best to place rarely used items in this area. Another example: If there are multiple shelves in the space, decide which items will be folded (i.e. Denim, t-shirts, and thick sweaters). This is when the process begins to come together. Understand, this is also the time that you may discover that adjustments need to be made to your planned placement. Remember, space versus inventory levels help ensure you maximize your space. Step 5 – Present Now you will see the results of all of your hard work! You now have a visually pleasing space, everything is organized, and your combined effort is now complete. This is the time to celebrate your accomplishment, as you have worked as a unit to finish a major project! Having an organized environment is key to relieving stress, helps save time, and increases productivity. Sharing an organized environment supports working as a team and allows each person to have a sense of ownership in a shared space.
