McCain Student Ambassadors Minutes - 10/29/10 Attending: Terri Lee, Todd Holmberg, Karen Pence, Gary Mortenson, Samuel Brinton, Michael Ternes, Drew Hanson, Jessica High, Astin Rodriguez Next Meeting is Friday, November 12 at 1:30 pm in McCain Auditorium. Meetings will be the second Friday of every month at 1:30 p.m.

Todd Holmberg reviewed the proposed committee structure (see 2010-2011 Committees).

Todd Holmberg appointed chairs for 3 committees (see 2010-2011 Committees).

The following people signed up for committees: Jessica High – Engagement/Promotion Astin Rodriguez – Engagement/Promotion Drew Hanson – Interested in all committees, will go wherever needed most Michael Ternes – Recruitment (choice 1), Mission and Governance (choice 2) The following people were not at the meeting but have still indicated interest in being a McCain Ambassador. The person in parenthesis will talk personally to the indicated person to encourage their continued participation and committee sign-up: Becki Ronen (Sam) Alexander Muirhead (Jessica) Molly Haddock (Sam) Dane Sargent (Jessica) Kirsten Hyde (Drew) Nicole Paden (?)

Discussion followed regarding the best method of communication. Jessica will ask a friend about OSAS. Drew mentioned WetPaint. More research will be needed. Until a better method is obtained, Facebook and Zimbra email addresses will be used.

A McCain Student Ambassador logo will be developed. Two logos will be developed by K-State Marketing and be voted on by the ambassadors at the next meeting.

All McCain Student Ambassadors are invited to attend the party at the Beach Museum of Art after the Manasse-Nakamatsu performance on November 11. Ambassadors are asked to escort patrons to the Beach from All Faiths Chapel and meet and greet them at the party. Ambassadors are to contact Terri Lee if they would like to help with the party. They can attend the performance for free but must arrange for a comp ticket in advance directly with Terri Lee (tllee@k-state.edu).
