SERIES HISTORY: W&M and Charleston last met during the 2020-2021 season when the Cougars won 66-69 at Charleston. The Tribe leads the all-time series with Charleston 17-10.
TRIBE NEWS & NOTES - W&M will continue conference play this Sunday hosting College of Charleston at 2:00 PM. The Tribe's game scheduled for Friday night against UCNW was postponed and will be made up at a later date. W&M split a pair of matchups with the Cougars last season, both games were played in Charleston.
- Sydney Wagner was magnificent last season against the Cougars, scoring a combined 49 points over the two game stretch. Wagner knocked down 11 threePostponed point shots and contributed seven assists in the matchups. L, 39-67 - In its most recent match up the Green and Gold lost on the road at CAA-leading L, 55-91 Towson. Sydney Wagner (12) and Riley Casey (11) scored in double figures for the Postponed Tribe while Kate Sramac had seven points to go with seven rebounds. Freshman 2 PM 7 PM Ava Stevenson shot 50% from the field and from three adding eight points, and Bre 12 PM Bellamy scored eight points to go with four rebounds. As a team, the Tribe shot 47% 7 PM from three. 2 PM - The Tribe has been impressive from the free-throw line this season, ranking second
in the CAA and 66th nationally with a 75% conversion rate. On seven seperate occasions this year, the Tribe has knocked down at least 10 free-throws and the team has shot over 80% five times. Individually, Sydney Wagner, Kate Sramac, Riley Casey, Ava Stevenson, Ruthie Montella, and Madison Magee all are shooting over 75% on the year.

- Freshman post player Dani McTeer has started in each of the 13 games this season 2 PM and has been one of Swanson's most consistent players. McTeer leads all CAA freshman averaging 4.8 rebounds per contest. The standout is also averaging 6.6 points per game. - The Tribe has been one of the most ferocious three point defenses in Division I this season, ranking 50 in the nation, holding opponents to 26% from the line. On seven seperate occasions this season, the Tribe has held the opposition to below 20% from the three point line.
- The Tribe has held three opponents to 50 points or less so far this season, winning each of those three games. Under head coach Ed Swanson, the Tribe has held opponents to under 50 points in 29 games and are 28-1 in those contests. - W&M head coach Ed Swanson enjoyed a noteworthy 2019-20 season individually. He was named the CAA Co-Coach of the Year following the Tribe's historic season. Swanson won his 500th career game on Nov. 26, became just the third coach in W&M history to win 100 games with the Tribe on Jan. 12, and was inducted into the Northeast Conference Hall of Fame in January. @WMTRIBEWBB
