First and 10 William & Mary will conclude its regular season slate when it hosts Richmond for The Capital Cup Game presented by C&F Bank at Zable Stadium on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. W&M will honor 23 seniors prior to kickoff. W&M will look to snap a two-game skid this Saturday and enters the weekend with a 6-4 record overall and a 4-3 mark in league play. W&M continues to lead the Colonial Athletic Association in rushing and is averaging 204.7 yards per game on the ground, while it has posted a league-best 18 rushing touchdowns. Conversely, the Tribe ranks 16th nationally in rushing defense (103.8) and has allowed just 69.5 rushing yards per game in its lasts three contests. Additionally, the Tribe ranks 14th nationally with 20 takeaways, which in-
cludes nine interceptions – a figure that ranks tied for ninth in the country. Richmond, which has won its last three games, enters Saturday’s contest with a 5-5 record overall and a 3-4 mark in league play. The Spiders are averaging 38.0 points per game during its current winning streak, while they rank third in the conference in scoring defense (20.3) and total defense (331.0). Series History Saturday’s game between William & Mary and Richmond will mark the 132nd meeting between the two schools in what has been traditionally called the “Oldest Rivalry in the South” – but
may be more accurately described as the most PLAYED rivalry in the South. The alltime series is tied, 63-63-5. The teams first met in 1898, when Richmond blanked W&M, 15-0. Only three other Division I series have a longer history than that of W&M vs. UR. Recent History Since the two teams started meeting as conference opponents in 1993, Richmond owns a 16-13 edge. During that stretch, UR owns an 9-7 edge in Richmond and a 7-6 edge in Williamsburg. Since 1993, the two squads have only played seven games decided by three points or less (W&M is 4-3 in such contests). Conversely,
