Spotlight

Carolyn CJ Jones Forgiveness Mentor, Motivational Speaker, Workshop Presenter

I enjoy finding the gratitude and positivity in situations, such that I live in peace, free from resentment. This is in stark contrast with how I used to be until the age of 48 years old. At that age, I became sober after 30 years of heavy drinking and drugging, all over childhood issues. During my drinking days, I grew to become an angry, bitter, blaming victim. This followed me into sobriety. After four years sober, I discovered a way to forgive my past. The realization I’d forgiven affected me with immediate and immense peace and freedom. I never knew this level of joy existed! It has drastically changed who I am as a person. I no longer pray to God to let me die because I’m so miserable inside. I no longer am bitter, or blaming everyone and everything for my woes; rather, I look within and take responsibility for what I what I find, for what I feel. Doing this empowers me! I enjoy celebrating every aspect of daily life, even the difficult things because it is within these that the miracles of change reside. There are many fun and unusual things I’ve done in my life. While married, I learned with my husband to renovate 2 each of homes, boats, and classic cars. My husband and I owned a timeshare on a houseboat in Lake Powell. It was awesome there! Years later, in Sausalito, California, we owned and lived on a 45-foot classic sailboat while we fixed her up. After the divorce and after a year of sobriety, I gutted and rebuilt in cherry wood the interior of a camper van, then traveled for 3 years around the Western States and Baja, Mexico with my then-kitty, Maynard. The journey of healing has been difficult; I have experienced many hardships, including trauma and abusive behaviors and actions. If there’s one thing I can recall from the process I went through to gain positivity, it is that gratitude for the small things, as well as compassion for those who have offended me, result in forgiveness for the offender… and for myself. The kaleidoscope of life has led me to become grateful for past abuses committed against me. This is because I now realize their purpose – to provide me with a way to relate to others suffering the same abuses, and to use tales of my experiences and my healing so others may heal. From this, my current profession evolved. I currently live 30 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge with my feral kitty, Izzy. Fourteen years have passed and she finally is able to exchange affection with me. During my free time, I enjoy writing, working

on my business, designing brochures and marketing materials, tending to my houseplants, and light wood finishing projects. Perhaps my most favorite thing in the world to do is varnish teak wood trim on classic boats. Since leaving my 27-year career as a registered nurse, I have become a multi-award-winning author for my first book and currently now a #1 bestselling author for my second. I began my current business when I became a forgiveness mentor in 2014. I guide others to find their way beyond anger and resentment to that place of peace and freedom that exists when they forgive. My services and products are varied and comprehensive. Books are the products I offer – Opening the Gates of the Heart: A Journey of Healing was my first. This book of images of wrought iron gates I photographed and prose I wrote parallels my own journey in recovery. It is a healing journey for anyone, though. My second and recently released book, The Art of Forgiveness: A Promise of Peace is a guide for you to get beyond anger, resentment, and negativity to a place of positivity, gratitude, and forgiveness. These, along with three - #1 International best-selling anthologies, and the e-book, In Search of Forgiveness: Getting Past Your Anger to Find the Life You Want, comprise my books. I offer two services. First, I provide private, one-on-one coaching for you if your life is really chaotic and miserable because of resentment, and you want to change that around. There are three programs I offer, each successively longer and in more depth than the previous. I also offer speaking services and workshops. I focus my workshops on those prone to resentment, and have spoken at San Quentin State Prison in California, senior retirement homes, and churches. In the fall, I am teaching one of my signature courses, Freedom from Resentment: The Art of Forgiveness, at the College of Marin, a local college. I am open to speak anywhere my message may be of service to others. It would be negligent of me to ignore the YIPPEE Method – a program of healing I created and designed. YIPPEE is a series of six stages you go through to reach forgiveness, peace, and freedom. It stands for: Yearn, Investigate, Process, Practice, Evolve, and Empower. It was created based on my own journey, so it is useful for those of you who would like to get beyond your chaotic and overwhelming life to a place of peace. These inspire me - kindness that I witness, expressions of gratitude, experiencing a great speaker in the front of the room, and Izzy becoming able to exchange affections. Yet, the thing that inspires me the most to continue with my forgiveness work is the knowledge of the feelings another can have when he/she forgives, and my desire to spread the word about how to get to that place. The next several months are going to be spent marketing my new book, as well as developing my college class. My efforts to gain speaking gigs will continue, as will attempts to gain new private coaching clients. In the future, if my book really takes off and I can gain some speaking gigs outside of the Bay Area and California, I would consider selling my home here, buying a small RV and traveling to book signings. As far as work, I see myself doing forgiveness work in one form or another until my days end…

Spotlight Beth Thater “My readers are those who want to live life full out. They are full of joy, passion, and stand in their truth and realize their full potential. They are curious, unlimited in their thinking, they know they are the Masters of their Destiny and refrain from playing small. I assist many in the service area. They are often an energy healing practitioner, coach, spiritual teacher, or those who want to make a difference in our world.” “I call them the Pave Wavers!” “My audiences are those who boldly step out, make no excuses, operate in the mindset of unconditional love, and have a deep desire to make a difference on our planet.” ~ Beth Thater Beth Thater has a strong belief system that we are unlimited Source energy. I AM the expression of God in Action. I am an energy medicine practitioner, Shamanic healer, Minister, and Spiritual Coach. My gifts and abilities opened up the moment Jesus came to me in April of 2007 and laid His hands upon me. There was such a deep activation and powerful inner transformation that took place through me from His presence. My natural perceptions are wide open, and I now assist others in revealing their greatest God qualities through activations of their divine Blueprints. I have the ability to energetically shift dense patterns held at the physical, emotional, and spiritual level. When asked what inspired her to write her book, she said, “I answered a divine calling that opened me up to the higher realms, heavens, and divinity held within my soul. I went through a series of direct experiences that open up my natural senses to the Powers to Be.” “I was shown that nothing is impossible with God. I was guided to write my book so that I could instill the fact that each of us holds unlimited source energy within the core of our souls. When you Unlock your potential, you will activate God’s power. I teach people how to Claim their Birthright and align them to their Soul’s Destiny.” “My intention is to plant seeds within their hearts and remind them that they are unlimited potential. I want people to view themselves with unconditional love as our Creator views them and to know that they are worthy. The past does not equal the future and so much more is waiting for you on the other side of your next chapter. Through my direct experiences, I was shown the unlimited possibilities of how God will show up in our lives when we get out of our way.”

Beth’s next book will reveal even more of my direct experiences with the higher realms and those who reside there. What this is like and how this has supported me in my spiritual journey and awareness. Beth’s Book can be found at Amazon.com You can follow or get in touch with Beth Thater at: www.UnlockYourSoulsPurpose.com, beththater@me.com When we asked Beth, “What is one thing you would tell others if they want to write?” She said, quote ~ “Just do it! What is the nugget of inspiration held within your story or experience and expand on this concept? You have a unique story to share and you never know whose life you could change and touch. Your story wants to be told. You will influence the world and open up minds. Get out of your way and allow the natural essence of your unique message to flow through. I was a bit apprehensive about writing the personal details within my book. It is the messages held within these experiences that will shift the reader’s perspective and their hearts.”

Serving as Worldwide Channels Vice-President on the Executive Committee of Vignette Corporation, a $250 million publicly traded, software – company; her team built the global infrastructure for multi-channels of distribution for their software solution. In her first departure from traditional ‘corporate America’, Kristin was asked to join the NYC Leadership Academy effort, which was the centerpiece of the New York City Children First reform agenda. New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Chancellor Joel Klein sponsored this agenda; lead by CEO ‘Robert E. Knowling Jr.’ The goal of this reform was to create a system of outstanding schools where every child and teacher has access to effective teaching and learning. Kristin was chosen as one of two private sector business executives, to teach, train, and coach the 1,200 principals of the NYC public school system and the top 100 executives on the Chancellor's staff. This three-year experience was the initial catalyst for Kristin forming Alignment, Inc. ®

Her last executive position in corporate America was as Group Vice President of United Health Group. This appointment leveraged her strong knowledge of the technology business and how to leverage multiple channels to market in the increasingly complicated world of healthcare and healthcare insurance. Kristin provided expertise for its go-to-market strategies, defined and created alternative channels to improve organic growth, and implemented sales effectiveness methodologies across all segments within United Health Group. It has been endorsed by notables such as Marshall Goldsmith, Sean Covey, and Doug Parker, CEO of American Airlines. This book shines the light on late in life reinvention and encore ‘second half’s’ of diverse individuals. The individuals are in some cases widely known and others are somewhat anonymous to the mass public. The common thread is their ‘post-50’ resurgence in life and in some cases their ‘fork in the road’ is quite serendipitous. Kristin’s third book, in the ‘Is This Seat Taken?’ trilogy Released October 8, 2019. Author “I have written three books in the “Is This Seat Taken®” book trilogy. I speak around the world on these books along with other topics relative to my company: Alignment, Inc. Kristin Kaufman’s Books include: Book #1 - Is This Seat Taken? ® Random Encounters That Change Your Life If you think incidental meetings are incidental – think again. No matter how much we plan as executives, leaders and individuals, the random encounter opens up unforeseen opportunities. Lessons and perspectives on leadership, alignment and the power found in the present moment are discussed and made real through actual stories from Kristin’s widely acclaimed book. Kristin’s book, endorsed by notable leadership gurus such as Stephen Covey, Ken Blanchard, and Noel Tichy, will come alive on stage and have your audience thinking about their everyday moments from a different perspective. Whether the audience is a group of power house executives, type A sales professional, or individuals needing a bit of inspiration, Kristin’s content will ring true to the soul in each of us. Book #2 - Is This Seat Taken? ® It’s Never Too Late to Find the Right Seat This book and keynote is designed for those individuals who have come to a fork in the road, chosen a path, and found themselves twenty to thirty (or more) years later in a destination they didn't quite recognize. The stories are relevant for anyone; at any age, at any station in life that has awakened and wondered what they are going to do next or how will they move forward. The examples offer hope, inspiration, and applicable lessons as derived from the lives of well-known and not-so-famous men and women who found new and unexpected success - by many definitions - late in life. The message will light a spark - whether you are twenty-five or sixty-five - to take back the reins of your life and become clear on exactly what you are going to do now and how you wish to contribute to the world. The music has not stopped, and there is still time to find your seat.

Book #3 - Is This Seat Taken? ® No, I Saved It for You. This book is the last in the trilogy in the Is This Seat Taken? ® Series. This book and associated, keynotes shares a collection of stories which focus on diverse individuals and their experiences who have served as Kristin’s teachers; these experiences vary from the beautiful and the empowering, of the side-splitting humorous, to the crushing and difficult; Yet, the common aspect is that they ‘Providentially’ have taught Kristin lessons, which she vulnerably and authentically shares with her audience. This talk is a compilation of the entire book series focusing on being present in the moment, being awake to learn from all experiences in our lives, and how all these stories factor into our individual quest toward alignment – professionally and personally. The book, and her keynote, wrap up with a few suggestions – which are highlighted in the thought and activity guide at the end of the book – for each person to take the reins of their lives. When we asked Kristin what she would you like to achieve in 2020, she said – quote “I want to continue to stretch, grow, and serve. If I do this well and with purity of intention – the rest will come.”

She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and writing inspirational pieces. Some of her work has been featured in a play, “Faces in the Mirror” LaSandra has also written a book, “From A Christian Perspective Encouragement for Daily Living” which was published in February 2018. On June 22, 2019, LaSandra hosted her very first conference, “Free to Be Me”. On March 28, 2020, LaSandra will have The Power of Hope conference. At some point in our lives, each and everyone one of us will be faced with adversities and if we are not careful, we these challenges can cause us to question our faith and cause us to lose sight of God’s promises to us as believers. This conference is designed to encourage others to keep hope and faith in Lord regardless of what their life circumstances look like. It will illustrate how I myself was faced with adversity and how I maintain my faith, hope and trust in God and overcame that challenge. This conference will be at the Hilton Gardens 7979 Willow Chase, Houston, TX 77070. Come join us.

When we asked her to share with us something she overcome or all the success she had achieved; she shared this. “Back in 2006, I left my husband and my life as I knew it was in total chaos and turmoil. Little did I know that God had a plan for my husband and I. The first year of that separation, the Lord dealt with me individually, reveling to me where I went wrong in my relationship with Him and my husband. One day, while in church service, the Holy Spirit came upon me, while I was in communion with God, he told me my marriage would be okay. In 2008, my husband and I reconciled our and united back under one roof.

This past June, we celebrated our 23rd wedding

Anniversary. What I learned from that experience has been invaluable and I minister to married couples now encouraging them to put God in the mist or their relationship because they cannot maintain their marriage on their own strength.” In 2018 my goal was to publish my devotional book and I did. “From A Christian Perspective: Encouragement for Daily Living” can be downloaded for free by gong to Smashwords.com. In 2019, my goal was to host my first Conference and I accomplished that in June. It was a huge success to say I have no idea where to begin with even planning a conference.

God truly amazed me because I asked him to put the resources, I need in my path to help me with this conference and he did just that. I would have never imagined have a radio station air my conference live. I could have never imagined have 50 people in attendance, some who did not even know me or ever heard of me before me advertising this conference. All I can say is but God…

She is the founder of Your Purpose Driven Practice, creator of the Women’s Empowerment Series events/TV shows, and CEO of RHG Media Productions™ What inspired Rebecca to write her book was her vision to support people on their journey to shine in their brilliance, no matter what they are called to do in their work or personal life. “My work brings me into contact with thousands of brilliant people who have shared with me their personal challenges with life’s setbacks, perhaps in their childhood, losing a loved one, faced with a debilitating illness or injury, or even escaping a war-torn country.” “I hear stories of how people not only met but triumphed over these challenges, and were lifted up to even greater things than they ever could have imagined!” Rebecca realized that these stories needed to be shared with the world to help others find their brilliance. This is the first into her “Step Into” series of motivational anthologies. “I see this book as a ‘living conversation,’ she said; between regular people (writer and reader) where wisdom, encouragement, and open hearts are shared. I want this book to walk beside you to help you run and not grow weary, to complete all that you are called to complete, and to live on purpose with great purpose because you are stepping fully into your calling and YOUR BRILLIANCE!”

Any woman or man who may feel that ‘something inside’ that calls to them to expand, explore, and seek better happier lives; will love this book. Perhaps there are areas where they feel stuck or held back, or need just a little more courage and guidance to take those next steps forward toward what they are called to do in the world. ‘Step Into Your Brilliance’ has not only stories that will motivate and inspire, but also includes practical tips and actions to take, which the authors have successfully used themselves on their journey.” Rebecca will be releasing a special anthology called ‘Animal Legacies’ in December of 2019. As an animal lover, this book is very close to her heart! It includes an amazing group of authors who share unique engaging stories on how animals have made a powerful imprint on their lives. The Kindle and print versions are available on Amazon. You can also visit her website to find this and our other exciting books: http://yourpurposedrivenpractice.com/books/ When asked, “What is one thing you would tell others if they want to write?” “I believe that together, as we lift each other up, we are all able to grow, reach more people, and have a greater impact than we do trying to do everything on our own. If you feel a pull on your heart to reach out with your message, do listen to it and take action. Take advantage of the many resources and supports available to help you along the process of writing - you don’t have to go it alone. Writing is a wonderful way to reach out to others. The reach of our books is often in the millions – think about being seen and heard by that many people! As you write, just be willing to SHINE in your particular expression of BRILLIANCE!” ~ Rebecca Hall Gruyter. We at Tribute Magazine wish Rebecca continued Success. Ask yourself do I build myself up? Am I my own cheerleader? Do I believe in me? In my dreams? In my abilities? Do I say I can do it? Or do I tear myself down? Am I always doubting myself? Am I always reliving my mistakes? Do I continuously tell myself I cannot do it? Take time to think about this. It is really important! If you are not uplifting yourself, it’s time to start! Spotlight Arlene Major “Weeping may endure for a night but JOY comes in the morning!” Psalm 30: 5 Arlene R Major is originally from Albuquerque, NM the Land of Enchantment. She is the oldest of three children; she has one brother and one sister. Arlene’s Dad passed in 2010 and her mother is living somewhere in the United States; they have not been able to speak in over 5 years. She is a happily married mom with four children and soon to be first time Grand momma. Arlene started writing in high school but always kept it to herself because she never really thought anyone would take it seriously. She dabbled in poetry as well as magazine articles. In 2014 after much encouragement from her aunt and her cousin; she started her first blog site called ‘Joy Does Come in the Morning.’ She has been writing ever since. Arlene penned the name ‘Lady Blue’ after her first ‘open mic’ session and a piece she wrote called, ‘Forgiveness.’ Arlene started doing radio in 2015 and she has been with wmskonlineradio.com since 2015. Things seemed to have blossomed since then with events, meeting and speaking with celebrities and artists and mostly inviting the community to see that there is still some good in the world. She also writes for World Prayer, a Christian website and Urban Image. She has penned articles for ‘Compulsive magazine’ and for the upcoming ‘State vs. Us, magazine’ due out in 2018. Writing her personal story has allowed her to not only reflect, but too share what her life was like, in the hopes that it would help someone else. We are Spotlighting Arlene for her, 50 Shades of Blue which came about when she turned 50 and was reflecting on her life and how she could give back at this stage in her life. “Being that I have survived domestic violence, it only seemed fitting to have an event that would give survivors and victims’ alike a place to gather, share and uplift each other.” Domestic Violence, now called Intimate Partner Violence or IPV, is a stigma in our society. It is something that when it happens, the situation is swept under the rug and ignored until someone dies as a result of the violence. It is not an easy subject to talk about or to live through or live with. She wanted to use her voice to let others know that together if we combine our efforts, we can raise enough awareness that we are not ignored. Arlene spoke with us and said, “Our current administration wants to treat this violent act as a preexisting condition or something that we asked for. That is not true and the victim is not the problem. We need to wipe the societal view that it only happens to women. Men and children are also affected. It is not just in heterosexual relationships that it happens. The LGBTQ community deals with high rates of violence and homicide. Children are affected in many ways as well as social, economic and other areas. Pets even suffer the consequences of this act. We have too many lazy laws and too many people that don't see that all suffer when it comes to this type of violence.”

When speaking on the topic of overcoming, Arlene said; “I have won awards over the past few years for my writing and involvement in the community. I would have to say that my biggest success is when I learned to forgive.” “It takes a lot for someone to understand and to do that without looking back. It was not something that I needed validation for. It was something that I needed for me and for those in my life currently. Learning to accept my part in what happens in my life and to look at the entire picture not only allows me to have a view of the world that is no longer tainted but allows me to look at the entire picture and see a situation for what it actually is and not what I wish it to be.” You can contact Arlene R. Spotlight – Keenya Kelly "You can do the most remarkable things, no matter what happens." ~ Keenya Kelly I'm Keenya Kelly of www.keenyakelly.com . I’m a Business and Brand Consultant helping entrepreneurs to define their creative gifts and strategically turn the gifts into businesses that are sustainable and profitable online. I am a speaker and entrepreneur Over the years I have gone through the highest highs and then the lowest lows, but I lived to see another day. I truly thrive off of sharing my life experiences with others, helping them to not make some of the same mistakes I’ve made while encouraging them to live their best lives vs the one that is currently being presented before them. The hardest thing I’ve ever had to endure was going through an unexpected divorce while only have $22,500 as a yearly salary. I thought I had forever, when I married my ex-husband and that we would build powerful businesses together, but I was forced to start over alone. During the process, although I was broken, I was also being remade into something that was brand new and would someday revolutionize the world around me. Within 18 months of leaving my marriage, I was able to get control over my life and earn over $250,000 and relocate to Houston, Texas without publicly shaming my spouse. In 2018, I would like to finish two books that are on my heart, launch my first Marketplace Ministry Conference teaching individuals how to strategically create wealth without compromising your Christian values. www.facebook.com/keenyakelly www.instagram.com/keenya_kelly Www.twitter.com/keenyakelly https://www.linkedin.com/in/keenyakelly/

Spotlight Jess Alan Tiffany Jess Alan Tiffany Is an entrepreneur, husband and father of four. He giggles while getting kicked by his kids in Karate class, enjoys paint night dates with his wife and is passionate about marketing and mentorship. Has been featured in the Huffington Post, eContent Magazine, Docurated, Monster.com, CEOBlogNation, Hong Kong Design Institute, Philadelphia Daily News and many, many others. Former writer with the Huffington Post, currently writing for Six Figure Coach Magazine and Authority Magazine. My Book is Growth Hacking Strategically Grow Your Business Connections from Zero to 10K in 365 Days Your LinkedIn account can be leveraged for so much more than people have considered. It is not a question of quality vs. quantity. It is about both. You can use my book to grow your business and your connections! A big challenge is overcoming the mindset that having a large number of connections somehow means you have to give up quality. The person looks at me and says well I would never connect with someone I have not looked into their eyes. Then the same person will pull out the company’s wallet and spend thousands of dollars marketing to people they don’t know and have never shook hands with. My argument is why not keep your tight knit circle of people you have met and had a coffee with, just like I do. Next reach out to your ideal client, your dream clients, people or companies that may have the potential for a joint venture, plus up and coming people that may be your star employee in a few years. Then you will be in their feed and every time you have a personal success, client testimonial, encouraging quote etc. your perfect referrals are seeing you occasionally every time they login to LinkedIn. Start liking stuff from your dream clients, do a shout out saying you like something they said, or share it to your inner circle. Send a helpful article you found to them. You still have your inner circle, plus thousands of people passively being “advertised” to for free. Then still do your same budget for paid messaging etc. Imagine 6 months after doing this just 1 dream client reaches out to you? Perhaps you get a few small jobs from a referral from someone you never met because they knew what your business did? I am looking forward to expanding my speaking platform, becoming an International Best-Selling Author and expanding our student base.

Spotlight Adrian Jefferson Chofor

My name is Adrian Jefferson Chofor, I am a global mobility lifestyle expert helping people that want to live abroad and currently living abroad do so strategically and successfully. I am also a personal transformational strategist and speaker, helping those in my community to live their best lives. I had the privilege of co-authoring Step Forward and Shine! the third and final book in the Shine series and when I was presented the opportunity to write my story, I was inspired to do so because I thought about how when I was younger I wish I could have met a woman like myself that would have told me things were going to be alright. After prayerful consideration, I knew writing this book was something that I was called to do. I want the readers to know they can overcome obstacles, made stronger by the struggle, and love themselves for who they truly are, not what others may think of them. My book touches so many areas of my life, I would say this has broadened the range considerably. I delve into challenges I experienced as a teen that made poor choices, a twenty- something year old early in my career, a thirty something year old moving abroad and later having a difficult pregnancy. I share experiences that are universal and not age or gender specific, such as making major life changes in moving overseas or the power of forgiveness and its profound impact on my life and those of others. I would have to say, because of the subjects covered in my book, it’s difficult to narrow the audience down to only one demographic.
