Hi!

My name is Tricia and I like to create.

I am a diligent worker with a curiosity that drives me to seek out design challenges, and I’m always prepared to put extensive time and effort into learning new skills. I’ve worked on variety of creative projects, while simultaneously pursuing an education in industrial design and business. Actively involved in Ottawa’s creative community, I have designed posters for local musicians and have organized volunteer teams for art shows. I’ve also had the opportunity to contribute concept art and logo design to an independent game studio. Always working to meet the needs of both the user and the client, I look forward to developing my knowledge in the creative field of concept art and design.

Album Design The Cardinal Album - 3MD Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop

Concepts A variety of characters and sketches were presented to the client before the final concept was confirmed.

Zoom Adobe Photoshop Rendering An exercise in vehicle design and movement.

Gaze Adobe Illustrator Rendering A realistic product rendering created using vectors and minor photo manipulation.

Poster Design Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

Satyr Corel Painter Rendering Based on a series of fantasy illustrations, this project aimed to create a realistic portrait of a Satyr.

User Comfort Portable Shiatsu Massager The purpose of this project was to find a product that needed to be improved upon in the product category of home health care. Working with users to identify key issues to address and maintaining user contact throughout the design process was vital to this project.

Prototypes Several rough prototypes were created and tested with users before arriving at the final design concept.

Modeling 1. The remote was made using laser-cut and heat-formed acrylic, which was painted with an airbrush.

1. To help visualize the pattern the final concept was rendered in context using Adobe Photoshop. The main body of the massager was machine sewn. Materials such as upholstery fabric were selected to imitate real athletic mesh.

3. Small details such as the thumb grip and charger were modeled in Solidworks and 3D printed,

Reverse Engineering 3D Printed Mouse

Using CAD surface modelling and rapid prototyping, the top section of a plastic computer mouse was recreated.

Proper tolerances and attention to surface transitions were important to allow the part to mate properly with the existing product.

Safety Design All-Season Bike Helmet

This project focused on creating a helmet that met the existing safety standards required of bicycle helmets, while working in a team to achieve these goals.

Concepts Using brain maps and sketch pin-ups provided an efficient way to conceptualize in a team.

Sculpting Process Final Model The helmet seeks to meet the unique needs of dedicated cyclists who ride their bikes in all weather conditions. The helmet features a sleeve with vent seals, ear flaps and neck warmer, to transform the airy summer helmet into a warm winter helmet.
