BRAND VERSUS LOCATION LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION – THAT’S WHAT SELLS HOUSES…….OR IS IT? You see many developments being built in the same prime areas so what will bring that potential buyer to you rather than the competition? Just the price? Reputation? Quality of the build? Maybe. But how does the potential buyer know? What sets you apart from the competition? Branding is a powerful tool to get your message across. Recognisable brands say so much in an instant. Building a brand is a brain busting exercise and takes research, creative thinking, more research and the right branding design. The rewards, when it is right, are the trust that it builds with the potential customer either perceived or real. Why is it that supermarkets have branded products and non-branded products? The branded products yield more revenue – simple.

IN THIS ISSUE Welcome to the 9th edition of our newsletter – newly named ‘Vision’. In this edition we discuss how important brand really is within the housing market as well as the importance of research and copywriting and some examples of when copywriting goes wrong! We also showcase just some of the recent projects that we have been working on as well as the inclusion of our ever popular Coffee Break Challenge. The Trident team have been very busy and have welcomed new members to our design team. We are looking forward to working on some very exciting projects over the next few months.

BRAND VERSUS LOCATION In a property market that has showed some signs of slowing down, it is an even more important time for companies to focus on getting their ‘brand’ and ‘marketing messages’ across to customers. In our experience, how a property developer showcases their development can have a huge influence over the potential purchasers decision to buy. Building homes is an aspirational business, creating people’s dream homes and places where they are proud to call home. WEAVER’S TYE MARKETING SUITE Trident Marketing are very proud to have recently completed the installation of the Weaver’s Tye Marketing Suite in Bull Lane, Long Melford on behalf of our client Hopkins Homes.
WESTON HOMES RALLY CAR With the launch of the Weston Homes new branding, Trident Marketing were tasked with creating a new look for the Subaru Impreza rally car that is sponsored by Weston Homes. We supplied Weston Homes with various design options created by our in-house designers. Once a design was approved, we took delivery of the super car and the first job was to strip it of the existing branding. We then produced and fitted a full car wrap which consisted of gloss, matt and reflective mirror vinyl. The client was thrilled with the cars new look and we wish the Rally Team the best of luck for their up and coming races.
The outstanding collection of 1, 2, 3 & 4 bedroom homes had its grand opening on Saturday 15th September. Trident Marketing have produced all of the branding and marketing materials for the development including a stunning sales and marketing brochure. The complete installation took place in just a day and a half and we are glad to report that the sales and marketing suite looks fantastic and really complemented this stunning development.

WHY RESEARCH, COPYWRITING AND PROOFING ARE IMPORTANT At Trident we pride ourselves on our accuracy and attention to detail. With every project we undertake we carry out research thoroughly. Initially our Project Managers visit the site of the development along with the designer allocated to the assignment to get a feel for the area, speak to the local people and businesses and imagine themselves as the end consumer – your buyer.

Furthermore, research takes place at our office. We find information regarding the area, the history, whether major government investment is coming, education, leisure, shopping, connectivity anything we can find out, we do. Our clients often want us to brand a development and we use our research to come up with something relevant. We check the names we come up with are safe for our client to use – our focus is very much on customer care. Proofing is so important! Does it make sense? Will the reader understand? Is it relevant? Punctuation, spelling and grammatical mistakes reflect badly on our customers – we cannot (and do not) let that happen.

CGI AT TRIDENT
Take a look at some of our latest CGIs created for Weston Homes featuring the first phase of their stunning development in Maidstone. We thought we would try something new and decided to experiment with differing lighting set ups to simulate a very warm and inviting sunset looking across the development. As part of the set, we created an aerial photomontage, whereby the model was seamlessly placed over a photograph. This type of CGI is great for showing how a proposed scheme blends in with the context before construction has even started.
