Philosophy
Trinity-Pawling’s lacrosse program is designed to prepare each player for the rigors of college and life thereafter. Regular meetings and an ongoing dialogue with the coaching staff help to ensure that each boy is meeting his academic, athletic, and personal potential. In every conceivable way, Pride lacrosse players are prepared for the college ranks as students, players, and men of consequence.

Sixty Trinity-Pawling student-athletes in the past five years have moved on to top NCAA Division I, II, and III levels of college lacrosse. The Pride finished the 2016 season ranked in the top ten of USA Today’s High School Sports Ranking, New England. The Pride has had nine players named to the All-Founders League and All-Western New England teams.

The Pride competes in the Founders League, which consists of Avon, Choate, Hotchkiss, Kent, Loomis, Taft, and Westminster. The Pride also plays in the very competitive New England West 1 Division against fellow members Deerfield, Salisbury, Brunswick, Berkshire, Northfield Mt. Hermon, and all Founders League members. Other rivals are Albany Academy, Gunnery, Millbrook, and Canterbury.

Faculty
yHead Varsity Coach Andrew Kirkaldy joined Trinity-Pawling in 2017. Kirkaldy played for the Nanaimo Timberman of the Western Lacrosse Association, played NCAA lacrosse with Gordon College, played for the Boston Rockhoppers of the NALL before his coaching position with Gordon College, was named Merrimack Valley Conference Coach of the Year in 2012, and served as Team USA indoor U-18 head coach in 2022. He serves as Associate Director of Admission.
yAssistant Varsity Coach Chris Gillman ’05 captained the 2009 Western New England University hockey team. He serves as Dean of the Senior Class, Director of the CLA, and teaches English.
yAssistant Varsity Coach Marc Welch ’18 is a graduate of Hamilton College, where he was a four-year lacrosse captain and starter, and earned All-American honors. He teaches in the Modern Languages Department.
