STRATEGIC PLAN 2021–2024

Making Eternal Impressions

MISSION Trinity Christian Academy is an independent coeducational school which offers Christian families and their children a demanding, college preparatory curriculum within a Christian community committed to integrating biblical faith and learning. The school desires to educate and develop the whole person for the glory of God by helping equip each student to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ and to become a faithful disciple of Him.

VALUES EXCELLENCE: At TCA, our students are challenged academically through rigorous curriculum in 21st century classrooms. From Lower School through Middle School and into Upper School, we are dedicated to preparing our students to pursue higher education at the country’s most prestigious and challenging colleges and universities.

CHRIST-CENTERED: Our mission is to educate and develop the whole person for the glory of God. We integrate faith with learning because we believe God created us in His image to be lovers and learners of Him, of our neighbors and of all creation.

COMMUNITY: Through a combination of called and caring teachers, low student turnover and active family involvement, the TCA experience is one of community. Families, faculty and students develop long-standing relationships built on a pursuit of excellence in every area and a shared commitment to Jesus Christ.

TRADITION: With a storied history of academic, spiritual and athletic excellence, TCA offers an established record of students who excel beyond our walls. Our families value the foundation upon which our school was founded and remain committed to providing the exceptional TCA experience for future generations. Our influential alumni base remains connected to TCA and serves an integral role in our continued growth.

SPIRITUAL GROWTH OF/CARE FOR THE TCA COMMUNITY TCA desires for its students, faculty and staff to be known as a visible reflection of the character of Christ. We intentionally build a community in which families develop deep relationships with one another, are provided opportunities for growth and development, support one another and engage in the culture.

GOAL #1: Cultivate a gospel-centered, biblical worldview in faculty and students. GOAL #2: Provide opportunities for faculty and staff to live in community. GOAL #3: Provide additional spiritual resources and opportunities to equip students and families to engage in cultural/ social conversations from a biblical worldview.

ACADEMICS TCA seeks to foster a lifelong love of learning in each student through excellent teachers, an inspiring and challenging curriculum and a Christ-centered environment. We prioritize developing each student to his or her full academic potential, enabling each to succeed in college and beyond. We provide a breadth of academic courses and programs, taught by a welltrained and well-equipped faculty.

GOAL #1: Develop an improved curriculum review process. GOAL #2: Review vertical alignment of the curriculum, preK–12. GOAL #3: Support enhanced instructional practices.

STUDENT LIFE TCA seeks to achieve its mission by fostering a Christ-centered environment that teaches students both the grace and truth of Christ, models faithful discipleship, welcomes families from all backgrounds and provides students with opportunities to serve that correspond with their giftedness and level of maturity in Christ.

GOAL #1: Foster the God-given gifts of each student. GOAL #2: Create a school-wide plan to develop and equip students to have a heart for service. GOAL #3: Cultivate an even more welcoming, supportive and aware community.

ATHLETICS TCA seeks to use athletics as an intentional and inspiring way to develop godly character. We seek to hire quality coaches who can challenge and develop athletes, as well as develop a winning tradition and build our programs to be best in class and competitive at the state level. We seek to enhance the facilities to meet the needs of programs and student-athletes and provide an excellent experience for athletes and their families.

GOAL #1: Develop strategies to remain competitive without compromising our mission. GOAL #2: Refine the athlete’s experience, making it more consistent across programs. GOAL #3: Address potential safety and health concerns for athletes.

GOAL #1: Complete funding of the new seventh- and eighth-grade facility. GOAL #2: Examine athletic programs and enhance athletic facilities for the betterment of the student-athletes’ experience. GOAL #3: Plan for long-term care of facilities. GOAL #4: Continue to nurture a culture of giving among our current parents, students, alumni, alumni parents and grandparents.

GOAL #1: Enhance and implement TCA’s marketing plan. GOAL #2: Engage and attract alumni to bring their children to TCA. GOAL #3: Decrease attrition of non-moving families.
