MARKETING COORDINATOR

Helvetica is a featurelength independent film about typography, graphic design and global visual culture. It looks at the proliferation of one typeface (which will celebrate its 50th birthday in 2007) as part of a larger conversation about the way type affects our lives. The film is an exploration of urban spaces in major cities and the type that inhabits them, and a fluid discussion with renowned designers about their work, the creative process, and the choices and aesthetics behind their use of type.

Growing and Utilizing Lavender Successfully The two basic requirements for successful lavender growing are full sun and good drainage. The best soil is a well-drained, gritty or sandy loam. In wetter or more clay-based soils lavender can be grown successfully on mounds. Lavender will not tolerate wet feet or poor drainage.

A new line of trees mimics the historic trees, enveloping the site. The ground material guides the visitor through the site, while connecting the surrounding park blocks.

CLIENT: Mittleman Jewish Community Center CLIENT GOALS: · Integration of Culture · Vegetable Garden · Multi-functional Space TOOLS: · Illustrator, · Hand Sketching SOLUTION: A stepped down amphitheater, with a multifunctional stage area and a terraced veggie garden taking maximum advantage of the sun. The amphitheater mimics the menorah in honor of the Jewish culture.

A 4-week field school immersing students in the vernacular landscape of the Pocono Plateau region. Weekends were spent visiting firms and key landscapes of: Washington D.C., Philadelphia & New York.
