Like water off a duck’s back Aside from a few downed signs and such, there was no damage to megayachts or exhibitors’ booths at the Yacht & Brokerage Show as a result of Friday night’s squall. There should be no more rain through the end of the show, but the cold temps will remain so stay warm. Or cuddle up with your Valentine. You did remember today is Valentine’s Day, didn’t you?

Network tonight with the crew from The Triton The Triton is hosting a networking event tonight from 6-8 p.m. at the U.S. Superyacht booth on ramp 14. We’ll gather for casual networking and camaraderie. All yacht crew and business folks are welcome to join us and enjoy food, drink and music. No need to RSVP. Just bring business cards and your Valentine (or find one there).

Megayacht carries bright yellow float plane on deck With retractable wings, a float plane fits on the sundeck of the 92-foot Argos series of megayachts by Tricon Marine. (The builder’s 100-foot model will be able to handle a helicopter.) The yacht’s davit isn’t big enough to move the plane, so an external crane is required. See it on Collins between ramps 13/14.
