Ikat Woven Velvet Panels These woven Ikat Velvet Panels are framed in our Silver Leaf Églomisé Frame to complement the shimmering effect of the velvet. Tones of blue, grey and silver work together to create seven eye-catching designs featuring geometric tessellations, abstract floral patterns and bold tribal designs. With the flexibility of hanging the panels horizontally or vertically, the pieces will work well in duplicate sets or alternating configurations. Ikat is a term for fabric which is hand-dyed using a method of centuries old traditions of tying and dying weft and warp yarn to create a desired pattern. Artist Biography Charlie Waite was born in 1949 and worked in British Theatre and Television for the first ten years of his professional life. Throughout this period he became fascinated by theatrical lighting and design. Gradually the landscape and the way it can be revealed to us through light and shade stole him away from the acting profession. His style is unique in that his photographs convey a spiritual quality of serenity and calm. He has established a worldwide reputation for his particular approach to his work. His photographs are held in private and corporate collections throughout the world. In 2014, Waite was awarded a Direct Fellowship by The Royal Photographic Society. The Millennium year saw Charlie Waite being awarded the prestigious honorary fellowship to the British Institute of Professional Photographers and in early 2007 he was presented with Amateur Photography’s Power of Photography award, which is given to a photographer whose work is deemed to effectively demonstrate the powerful and memorable images of which photography is capable.

Picasso | 1962 Collection Picasso invented the ‘reduction’ method, progressively cutting the same linoblock for each new colour, making it impossible to take any further prints from the original plates. In 1962, in collaboration with Picasso and Galerie Louise Leiris, new linoleum plates were made at 42 per cent of the original size. These prints were made using those plates. A Certificate of Authenticity accompanies each 1962 linocut. These prints are original linocuts from 1962. They are not later reproductions and should be not confused with modern posters.
