Erró About the artist Icelandic artist Erro uses a completely handmade approach to these pop art influenced artworks. The artist ‘sculpts’ the super heavyweight paper in its early form from a resin before moulding and building up the image up – just like a sculpture – using gum. The end result is half engraving, half sculpture and 100% amazing. Each one is signed by the artist and Limited Edition from 40. Erró, whose real name is Gudmundur Gudmundsson, was born in Olafsvik, north western Iceland, in 1932. It was at the tender age of ten that he first discovered a passion for art when he saw a catalogue from the Museum of Modern Art in New York. He enrolled in the Iceland Academy of the Arts in Reykjavik. After schooling he travelled extensively and began to exhibit his works, first and foremost in Paris, where he chose to make his home in 1958.

Erró’s art can certainly be typecast as Pop Art, with bold comic-strip characters taken from dozens of cultural resources - his art draws close comparison with propaganda posters.“I paint because painting is a private Utopia,” he says. One interesting observation is the way he simultaneously employs and undermines his chosen clichés, creating imagined scenarios where more often than not a female heroine takes centre stage. His work has been shown worldwide including New York, Tate Britain and Paris.

Band Of Colour These six works from artist Charlotte Morgan contain some of the most subtly balanced colours in her entire portfolio. Sumptuous purples curve around tropical blues, while here and there bursts of bright green conjure the natural world. They look like they could dance out of the frames. These images are signed by the artist and are Limited Edition of 195.
About the artist Charlotte graduated from her degree in Fine Art at the University for the Creative Arts, Canterbury, in 2011. She joined TROWBRIDGE later that year and has put into practice her diverse artistic knowledge. There is no single medium that Charlotte sticks to, simply adopting different styles and techniques to suit individual designs. This fluidity allows numerous successful collections to come to fruition. Her favourite paintings are often the simplest, with striking shapes or objects overlaid on clean white backgrounds – as in the case of these Band of Colour. Pierre Muckensturm Diptych This signed diptych is a limited edition of just 11 from artist Pierre Muckensturm. The aquatint printing process creates prints with the appearance of watercolours, and is made by etching a metal plate with nitric acid before adding resin and varnish to produce richer tones.
