BASEBALL Levi Thomas was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the fourth round of the 2020 MLB Draft with the 109th overall selection Levi Thomas, Caleb Bartolero and William Sullivan garnered second, third and freshman Collegiate Baseball All-America honors, respectively Troy finished the shortened season as one of the nation’s hottest-hitting teams. Troy ranked fourth nationally in doubles, 14th in hits and 28th in runs. Caleb Bartolero, Drew Frederic and Rigsby Mosley ranked first, third and fourth, respectively, in the Sun Belt in hits Caleb Bartolero’s nine doubles were tied for the sixth most in the country. He hit safely in every game and ended the year with a 17-game hit streak Signee Tekoah Roby was selected by the Texas Rangers in the third round of the 2020 MLB Draft

SOFTBALL The Troy softball team received the Sun Belt Conference Team GPA Award for the third consecutive year, garnering a league-leading 3.57 GPA Troy tossed a combined two-hitter to topple No.16 South Carolina marking the first time that the Trojans beat a ranked team on the road since downing No. 10 Florida State in 2015 Troy finished the season 26th in the NCAA RPI rankings Just 23 games into the season, Leanna Johnson tossed seven shutouts to etch her name into eighth place in the record book, her total led the country Troy finished the season ranked sixth nationally in fielding percentage (.980)
