MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRPERSON Welcome to the Gawler and Barossa Jockey Club – a Club that cherishes its strong history and embraces innovation. We are all very proud of this traditional but very vibrant racing club that is strong in its focus and forward thinking due to its recent redevelopment and strategic approach. It is now one of only two race tracks available in the city and environs of Adelaide. Strategically located on the main road linking Gawler to Adelaide and the beautiful Barossa Valley, it is impossible to overlook. It is even accessible by train from Adelaide direct to Gawler trackside as we are the only racecourse on the metro rail system. The Gawler and Barossa Jockey Club thrives on the support of its local community and values the contribution made by its corporate partners. A partnership with our club is just that, a partnership. The Coopers Long Lunch $135 per person Sundays are synonymous with long lunches and what better way to end a weekend than with a great day at The Races? Private Tent From $1980 per tent or $39.60 per person (min 50) This package is for those who like to tailor their race day and make it a unique experience for their guests. The sky’s the limit when it comes to fitting out your tent, and our events team can work with you to plan a great day that meets all your needs. This package is especially popular with social or sporting clubs. Package includes: • powered site • 6m x 6m marque • 50 entry tickets • three trestle tables and tablecloths • eight outdoor tables and 50 chairs • plastic fencing • food and beverage packages can be tailored The rest is up to you to create a day best suited to your needs. Under the Umbrella $200 per table (suitable for 6 people) Enjoy a laid back day at The Races with reserved outdoor seating. RACE DAY HOSPITALITY NON FEATURE RACE DAYS Take corporate hospitality out of the boardroom and indulge your clients with a unique day at The Races. The Gawler & Barossa Club can host you and your guests in The Terrace Function Centre, making the most of spectacular views of the track and fine food and wine. FASHION AT THE RACES The Races have long been synonymous with stunning fashions. This year’s Gawler Cup holds added significance in the fashion stakes with the event featuring as an automatic qualifying heat of the statewide Fashion at The Races competition searching for South Australia’s most stylish racegoer. The lucky winner of Gawler Cup’s Fashion on the Field will progress to the Fashion at The Races State Final at Morphettville in April 2013, where they’ll be treated to hospitality at Schweppes Oaks Day and two nights accommodation at the Oaks Plaza Pier Glenelg. Up for grabs in the final is a MINI Ray for the winner of Fashion at The Races, with the runner-up taking away a $3,000 Perri Cutten racewear wardrobe.
