PAINT THE PAVEMENT: public art intervention Cassidy Rosen M.Arch 1- 2017 Interpretive Urban Design Seminar
Fall 2015
Similar to design scheme of the SUPERKILEN the 9 major intersection in the downtown of Gretna will be PAINTED TO ACTIVATE A SENSE OF PEDESTRIAN PRESENCE WITHIN THE STREETS. The intersections can become transformative into locations for public events and the design intention is the proposal of closing down Huey P Long Avenue for “open street” events bi-monthly injunction with the 2nd Saturday Art Walk that currently takes place in Gretna.
