Youth & Adult Camp Campers participate in all traditional winter camp activities, plus they may choose to focus on a “Featured Club” at Camp Friendship during their stay. Featured Clubs: Friendship Art Studio, Movin’ and Groovin’ and Mexican Cooking

Adult Getaway Retreat

Winter Camp Blast It’s time to play away those winter blues with fun, adventure and friendship. Winter Blast is five days of rock climbing, swimming, laser tag, snow fun, dog sleds, science experiments and more for kids and teenagers with ADD/ADHD, FASD and High Functioning Autism. Led by a group of energetic and passionate staff, your child will build friendships and memories that will last far into the new year.

Designed for those with low care needs. Participants are able to independently complete daily living skills. Choose activities that interest and challenge you and have free time to enjoy camp facilities. The group also plans a special free day trip together. (Jan session)

Day Trips Winter is a great time to enjoy activities in the community. Optional day trips to bowl or enjoy a movie and dinner may be added to the camp experience for campers who need medium to low supervision. Sign up at check in.

Transportation Round trip transportation available from Camp Eden Wood in Eden Prairie, MN on Dec 27 and 31 for $60/person.

Who can participate?

CAMP FRIENDSHIP, Annandale

We serve ages 5 to adult. Participants have autism, cerebral palsy, ADD/ADHD, Down syndrome, epilepsy, hearing or visual impairment, mild developmental delays, physical challenges or a combination of disabilities. Camp is a special place for making memories. Campers are encouraged to invite siblings and friends without disabilities to register and share in the experience.

What makes camp special? Winter camp gives everyone the opportunity to enjoy a wide variety of activities, each one adapted by trained staff to meet the age and ability level of every individual. Campers enjoy building snow forts, sledding and snowshoeing, indoor climbing, crafts, games, cooking, dancing and much more.

True Friends staff provide the guidance, supervision and personal care participants need to get the most out of their camp experience. • • •

Our staff to camper rations often differ from home ratios. Food service professionals qualified to prepare meals matching special diet needs including gluten free, dairy free, diabetic and pureed/chopped Health care staff to distribute medications and monitor day-to-day health needs (nurse available 24 hours)

With the generous support of donors, we are able to provide assistance to many participants with proven need. To request aid, the financial assistance portion of the application must be completed and submitted with the application. Private pay only. No waivered services funds accepted for this camp.

Night Supervision of All Campers: Staff live in the cabins with campers and are allowed to sleep. They assist campers with typical needs during the night. Contact us if you require overnight awake staff.
