JEP DONATES J$300,000 TOWARDS EDUCATIONAL GRANTS FOR STUDENTS IN THE RURAL REGION OF NE ST. CATHERINE.

In accordance with JEP’s mandate: finances should not deter anyone from achieving academic pursuits. The company, therefore, donates to the rural region of NE St Catherine annually.

Often overlooked are brilliant children in the simple yet rustic communities of NE St Catherine. As such, Member of Parliament, the Honourable Natalie Neita-Headley has partnered with JEP to identify these children and provide them with the opportunity to education. Jamaica Energy Partners takes pride in providing educational grants for students and will continue to showcase scholars while being that thrust that propels our youth into greatness!

WKPP SUPPORTS NIKAEDA JOHNSON, A CHILD WITH APERT SYNDROME. Introduced to WKPP recently was Nikaeda, a child suffering from a rare condition called Apert Syndrome which is the second case known to the company. Apert Syndrome is a genetic disorder characterized by a premature fusion of certain skull bones. This disease prevents the skull from growing normally and affects the shape of the head and face. For Nikaeda to maintain a normal a life, Doris Johnson, Nikaeda’s mother, enrolled her into the Hydel Group of Schools. Hydel is popularly known for accommodating children with special needs. To assist Ms Johnson, WKPP has contributed to Nikaeda’s tuition and is willing to continue to facilitate her educational expenses in the future.

JCS ACKNOWLEDGES WKPP WITH A TOKEN OF APPRECIATION FOR RELAY FOR LIFE CONTRIBUTIONS. Earlier this year, WKPP received a token of appreciation from the Jamaica Cancer Society for its contributions to the Society’s annual event, Relay for Life. Fundraising initiatives such as this are critical to the Society’s mission, which is to “Eliminate cancer as a major health issue in Jamaica”.
