Taking Souls from Hearing to Heaven
We’re Going Digital by Kendal Rasnake
This will be the last print issue of the Mission magazine. We are converting over our magazine to a digital e-publication. It will be an electronic version of the Mission magazine (or e-Mission as we call it). You may have noticed that some of our last few issues came out in print and were available as electronic publications. Those digital versions of the Mission magazine are still available online, and the magazine will only be released in the e-publication format in the future. Why are we going digital? Simply put, the benefits of going digital outweigh the benefits of staying in print. Take a look at the table on the next page to see what I mean. How can I access the electronic version of the Mission magazine? The e-Mission can currently be accessed in multiple ways. 1) On the “Read” portion of our website www.truthfortheworld.org. 2) By visiting our magazine hosting website at www.issuu.com/truthfortheworld. 3) Download the Issuu app on your iPad® mobile digital device or AndroidTM device. Then search for “truthfortheworld” with no spaces or quotation marks. 4) You can subscribe to the e-Mission on the home page of our website and receive it via email. If you don’t have a computer, Internet service or a mobile digital device, then try visiting your local library or coffee shop. They may have a computer and Internet service you can use for free or just the price of a cup of coffee. Plus, if you are at a coffee shop, you get the coffee! Have a device such as a tablet, smartphone or laptop but don’t have Internet service? Try the local library, coffee shop or even some restaurants. They may offer free Wi-Fi Internet service in your area. You can also ask a friend to download and e-mail it to you or just print it off for you. What will this mean for the future of Truth For The World? It means we can reach more people, with more content for less money when it comes to our e-Mission magazine. It also means that we will be utilizing other ways to keep our coworkers informed about what is going on at Truth For The World. (continued inside)

(continued from front) In the past, we have used a magazine format to update our coworkers on our work. We may still continue to send out an occasional small newsletter in the mail, but we will also utilize other tools such as our website, Facebook, Twitter, personal correspondence, personal visits, and the Truth For The World blog on our website. We try to do things more efficiently when we can and the conversion of the Mission magazine to an e-publication is definitely more efficient! We invite you to read our electronic version of the Mission magazine if you haven’t discovered it already. You can also subscribe to our e-Mission magazine through Issuu.com or have it delivered to your e-mail by sending an e-mail to info@tftw.org stating that you would like to receive future editions of the Mission magazine in your e-mail inbox. Take advantage of our magazine, radio programs, TV programs, Bible Correspondence Courses and more on our website at www.truthfortheworld.org.

Taking Souls from Hearing to Heaven
A Simple Way to Reach the Lost
by Phillip Vanwinkle
If you recognize the two icons at the top of this article, you already know that the world is rapidly changing. We, as Christians, have to make a choice. Do we change with it, or do we get left behind? I don’t mean that we should give up doctrine for the changing world. I mean - Do we, as Christians, adapt to the world in which we live, so that we can take advantage of the new ways in which we may reach the lost? When people tell me that they don’t care to learn computers because they don’t see any use for them, I generally will ask them, “Where is your horse?” Because the Internet has done for cross-culture communication what the automobile did for cross-country travel. Not to poke fun at people who do not use computers, but really... this technology is incredible. It has done wonders for the way that we communicate with the world. It is also one great tool to help spread the Word of God. For instance, I currently teach 3 different classes per week to people from all over the world using SkypeTM. I simply turn my computer on, turn SkypeTM on, click the button that says “contact list”, and then add the people who are in the classes. It is that simple. If you have a computer and a good knowledge of the Word of God, then please let me urge you to utilize this technology. There are people all around the world who would love for someone to teach them the Bible. And if you are patient, and willing to try, you can reach people in China, Malaysia, Brazil, Africa, Europe, ... practically everywhere. Let’s face it, missionaries need help. A missionary only has so much time in a week to teach lessons to students, and if I know someone who will be willing to teach a few people in a class via SkypeTM or some other online communication program, that could free me up to teach others. This is one simple, yet effective tool. This is just ONE way that you can carry out the Great Commission, that you can have a part in someone’s being saved, whether you are in their country or not. I truly hope that you will consider this approach, and if you are willing, there is a world of people out here who are longing for Bible teachers. Whether you choose this route or not, I pray that you will still do all that you can to carry out the Great Commission and may God bless you as you continue to work in his kingdom.
