Newsletter $15,000 Fundraising Goal! To say that Truth For The World has undergone a lot of changes would be an understatement. The joke around here is that the only thing constant is change. Our budget has certainly undergone a lot of changes over the last few years, too. But the good news is we have still been able to continue our mission and even expand what we have been able to do. May God receive thanks for this! We have been reducing our budget to match more closely what we have been receiving in donations from our generous coworkers. In making up a tentative budget for what we need for 2013, we have about a $15,000 deficit for the year. In other words, if we could raise $15,000 more in regular, annual support, our income would closely match the expenses we have for accomplishing our projects and mission. Therefore, we are looking for some new coworkers to help us with our donations, or even some current coworkers who are able to increase their donations a little. It really may not be right to ask for donations without explaining a little of what we are doing with our current donations and what we hope to do with more. Allow me the brief moment to highlight what we have been able to accomplish, with God’s help, even on a declining budget in 2012. • Continue our mission of taking the Gospel around the world – Every week our shortwave, AM and FM radio hits 6 continents, our TV program goes into North America, Central America and the Philippines, and our Internet content of articles, tracts, radio, TV and more is made available to over 2 billion people around the world. Also, people come to us from around the world to take our Bible Correspondence courses, either through the mail or online. • Expanded our TV programming – Our TV has been added to People TV in Atlanta, which reaches into about 200,000 homes. We are also slated to be added to a TV station’s programming in the Republic of Palau. We have been broadcasting on the Living Faith TV network, which is broadcast over-the-air, on cable, on Dish Network and DirecTV, on Galaxy-16 satellite and via the Internet. This network goes across North America and most of Central America and is streamed live on the Internet around the world. • Expanded our podcasting outreach – Podcasting is an audio lesson that people can hear by accessing it through various places online. We have placed our audio files in websites where more people can discover and hear the truth of the Bible. • Launched a new tract “10 Questions to Ask a Mormon” – This tract, along with our TV series “Ask The Expert: Mormonism,” can help Christians learn about Mormonism and what to say to a Mormon when given the opportunity. • Published an AndroidTM application (app) – This app has been downloaded over 60 times by people from various countries and contains our articles, our tracts and even a quiz on the plan of salvation. • Seen an increase in our Bible Correspondence Course Students – The average number of people who come to us every day and request to study the Bible has increased compared to last year. At one point we saw an average of 5 people per day coming to us and voluntarily enrolling for a Bible study course. • Launched a new Bible Correspondence Course online – Our 6th Bible Correspondence Course, Survey of the New Testament, was in print but not in our online offerings.
