CUSTOMER SEGMENT INNRI ascertains itself in a niche market because of the specific needs and characteristics of the Ambitious Thinker. The Ambitious Thinker feels like a very small element in a big entity. They want to reinvent their identity, and INNRI supports them in that. For the Ambitious Thinker there are no rules in dressing [Mcmeekan E., 2017].

INNRI’s customer is called the Ambitious Thinker, a person who’s between the age of 30 and 40 years old. They work in the creative field, for example art direction. But the Ambitious Thinker aspires to be an entrepreneur (JWT Intelligence, 2017). They are determined, socially and spiritually open-minded, accepting and they feel pressure of the crowd when on their own. Confident and secure on the professional level, they feel fulfilled ambitiously and intellectually. Nevertheless, privately they feel the need to stand out beyond their professional role.

The target group is confident professionally and confused individually. They are tired of being neglected, mislabelled and misunderstood [Johnson and Lancaster, 2016]. INNRI provides them the opportunity to construct their own microverse in the form of a garment.

They have a lot of influence on products in consumerism and they are picky when it comes to quality. The Ambitious Thinker is the target group of INNRI that is part of the generation that can afford the newest technology. They don’t feel that the stereotypes about their generation do reflect them and they consider themselves digital natives.

6

VALUE PROPOSITIONS Emotional INNRI offers the customer a personal garment that fit the customers needs. The customer puts effort in this garment by customizing their own limited edition garment. This effort creates an emotional value for the customer. In this way the customer is creating a relationship with the garment. The customer will think twice when throwing this item away because of this relationship.

Customization INNRI’s target group is the ambitious thinker, a person who wants to reinvent themselves and wants to create their own microverse. With INNRI’s concept of customizing your own garment this need can be satisfied: the need to create. In other words, INNRI offers the customer customization. Customization is the most important value for the them. An example of an INNRI customization is filling in the sleeves. This filling contains practical elements (like different fillings for different seasons), but also aesthetical elements. The customer can make their own choices. Design Another value INNRI provides is design. INNRI’s designs are made to assemble them to your own liking. For example, the customer can change certain details about their garment to keep it ‘up to date’. This way the customer has a unique piece they can assemble themselves.

7

CHANNELS Nowadays, virtual reality is only possible with the use of a VR headset. The expectations are that in the future this headset will disappear [INretail, 2017].

INNRI communicates with the customer through the use of our omni-channel. This means that we have physical shops and an online webshop that are tightly connected to each other. We are a direct and own channel so we don’t use a retailer or partner.

INNRI will show the new collection in store with the use of a virtual reality experience. Imagine you can customize the garment that you want in the INNRI store. The whole atmosphere in the virtual reality gives a real experience. At this time being able to feel fabrics with virtual reality is in its initial phase. An example is Skinterface. Skinterface is a skin suit which allows you to go from the physical world into the virtual world (Charlotte Furet, 2015). Staff of the store will give the customer special gloves like Skinterface. These gloves give the consumer a tactile feeling of fabrics.

There are a lot of expectations about the future. Scientists think that in 2028 the use of Virtual Reality is much increased [INretail, 2017]. INNRI will apply Virtual Reality in the INNRI stores and online. INNRI website INNRI gives customer the opportunity to buy garments from the webshop. The customer can also experience the garments with Virtual Reality at home. The tactile feeling is not possible at home. The customer only can get the full experience of the garment in the INNRI store.

In this experience there is also the opportunity to try on the garments. If the consumer decides to buy the garment, the real garment will be send to their home. INNRI will also have a second-hand collection in the stores. Those garments will be physical available in the stores in addition to the new collection.

INNRI Stores The customer can visit the INNRI Store for a virtual reality experience. Currently, there are already some experiments with showing garments to customers with virtual reality in stores [Presley West, 2017].

8

CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS In the store INNRI offers the customer personal assistance. Additionally, we provide them with a sustainable shopping experience: VR. INNRI eventually wants to apply the use of VR to the webshop. INNRI offers personal assistance as a guide in the store. The assistance will help the customer with the Virtual Reality experience.

If a garment or garment piece isn’t what the customer needs it is possible to return it to INNRI. Based on consignment sales the customer will receive a small earning after the piece is sold as second hand [USLegal, 2016]. INNRI strives to make individuals feel empowered by giving them the opportunity to construct their personal microverse.

INNRI sells pieces of garment so the customer can construct their own garment. When they buy a single pattern piece, there is a manual printed inside the box. This manual contains information about the size, composition, wash instructions, country of origin and information about the company. It also includes a guide on how to build your garment which you can also find on the website.

The Ambitious Thinker feels frustrated from continually reading content that ignores his generation [Ozy, 2018]. INNRI builds a emotional bond by making them feel understood and heard.

INNRI also creates a relationship with the customer on an emotional level. By letting the customer create their own style and own garment they have endless possibilities of constructing something for themselves. This results in a longer lifespan of the more personal garments.

9

REVENUE STREAMS Blockchain From a retail perspective, it is expected that blockchain will be used in the future [Inretail, richting retail 2030]. Blockchain is a technology where transaction control does not take place by a third-party such as a bank. Normally an entrepreneur uses intermediary such as a bank to validate a transaction. Blockchain replaces that intermediary with a network of computers. Blockchain is a public database with the accounting of every transaction that has ever been made. The Ambitious Thinker is an entrepreneurial person that earns above average income. This target group is open for innovative ways of payment [Outenaar E., 2018].

The Ambitious Thinker pays for individuality and uniqueness, the quality and peculiarity of the materials and the technique INNRI applies to the garments. Customization solves the problem of retaining the individual, the feeling that something is personal, which is essential for INNRI. Therefore, the customers get exactly what they want. INNRI uses sustainable and unusual materials, for example anti-slip mat and fish leather. Asset sale INNRI’s source of income is the selling of goods. INNRI sells to consumers (B2C), online and in a physical store. Towards the future an important characteristic of the physical store is that products are immediately available. It is expected that the online consumer spending will continue to rise in the future. In addition, the distinction between online and offline channels will become irrelevant for the consumer due the strong increasingly interconnectedness. It is important that INNRI meets the need and expectations of the consumer. This will be done by creating the possibility to build your own garment in the store, but also to create engagement with the costumer.

10

KEY RESOURCES Physical What is needed for the start of INNRI is being shown in the opening balance. To begin there is of course a store needed with the necessary inventory. For the experience in the store INNRI uses Virtual Reality. In this experience every sense of the customer needs to be stimulated. For example, the feeling sense will be stimulated due a glove that creates the feeling of touching the fabric without even holding it [Furet C., 2015]. All this equipment is needed in the INNRI store. Of course INNRI also needs furniture and a cash register in the store.

Human In the store of INNRI there are employees that are assisting in the Virtual Reality experience. Also, the employees are able to explain everything about the sustainability and construction/ deconstruction of the INNRI garments. Due to the committed employees the experience will be more personal. Financial INNRI needs €55.303 to start its business. INNRI requests a loan of €25.000 from the bank and an investment of €19.000 from Business Angels. Information about INNRI’s financing budget can be found in the opening balance.

Intellectual For the making of fish leather INNRI needs the knowledge and someone who knows the process of making fish leather from fish skin. Besides the fish leather process there are a lot recycling processes that are needed to make a INNRI collection, but all this processes are done by partners of INNRI. More about the recycling methods and partners is explained in the chapter ‘Key Partners’ on page 12.

11

KEY ACTIVITIES The INNRI team checks the garments and if mistakes are found, they will be either solved at our warehouse or send back to the manufacturer. Once they are approved we can pack them in boxes, prepare the shipping audit and send them directly to our customer or to our shop in Amsterdam. INNRI is a zero waste brand, that’s why the customer can send back their garment after use, so we can re-use, recycle or downcycle it. For further information about the re-use, recycle and down-cycle processes, check the sustainability booklet.

To make INNRI’s business model work we will focus on problem solving. The target group the ambitious thinker is confident professionally and confused individually. They are tired of being neglected, mislabelled and misunderstood. INNRI provides them the opportunity to construct their own microverse in the form of a garment. The production cycle starts with getting the fish skin from Smith Zeevis and the garments and fabrics form Het Leger Des Heils. When the materials arrive at our office, we fabricate the fish skin to fish leather, which is a accurate and time-consuming job. The textiles we receive will be selected by us, with the seasonal moodboard taken into consideration. After that, we will send it to the garment factory in Belgium where are designs become reality. When the clothes are finished they are transported to our warehouse/ office.

12

KEY PARTNERS Leger Des Heils - Reshare For the first INNRI collection non-wearable garments from Leger Des Heils - Reshare are used. INNRI will no longer use their services for the subsequent collections, because the subsequent collections will be made from recycled material. Reshare is the name of the department at Leger Des Heils that collects second hand garments [Reshare, 2017]. They give wearable second hand clothing to people in need, sell them in second hand stores or the secondhand clothing goes to sorting companies. Reshare only uses wearable clothing for a good cause so it is perfect that INNRI uses not wearable clothing for the first collection.

Bright loops When INNRI can no longer use the woolen materials for the collection, it will be handed over to Brightloops. They will recycle old woolen sweaters or other woolen textiles into new wool sweaters and scarves [Loopalife, 2017]. They sort the clothing by color that they receive from various partners including INNRI, afterwards the items are cut into fibers to make new products. Sympany The garments that are suitable for the recycle fase are collected by Sympany. Sympany works together with various partners to give the no longer wearable garments a new destiny. They contribute to new innovative projects in the field of textile [Sympany, 2017].

Smith Zeevis Smith Zeevishandel was founded around 1908. Smith Zeevishandel throws the skin of most fish kinds away, so it becomes waste [B. Hol, 2018]. INNRI treats the fish skin in the same way as leather is treated, after this process the fish skin is a perfect recycled material to use as leather.

Reblend Reblend is an Amsterdam based label and agency for innovative fabrics and fashion with a positive impact. Recover and ReBlend have a partnership to make 100% recycled yarn from post-consumer textiles. Sympany will transport the postconsumer waste blend materials from INNRI to Reblend. Reblend will recycle the blend materials by adding 30% PET [Reblend, 2018].

13

Saxion University of Applied Sciences INNRI collaborates with Saxion, University of Applied Sciences, to recycle cotton. Saxion developed a SaXcell fiber to recycle cotton without adding synthetically materials. SaXcell is an innovative cellulose fiber and is similar to a Lyocell fiber, which is produced out of cotton waste [Oelerich, J., 2017, research Saxcell vezel. Interview, 16 november]. Vanbockryck Vanbockyck (Belgium) is a manufacture of wearing apparel [Kompass, date unknown]. They produce clothing for the middle high & high segment, besides that they also work with honest by. Vanbockryck is the manufacturer of INNRI’s garments, after the production the garments can be transported to the INNRI headquarter.

14

COST STRUCTURE Profit & Loss statement As is shown in the profit and loss statement, INNRI makes a small profit in the first year.

Opening balance sheet Fixed assets are costs that do not change with an increase or decrease in the amount of goods or services produced or sold. They consist out of the property, furniture, machine and equipment costs.

In the second year INNRI grows and our income will be â‚Ź45.814,-. The reason why the revenue increases this year is because of the growth in sales.

The current assets are costs that derive per an x amount of time.

There will be a continuous growth for INNRI when it comes to sales and the accompanying net income profit.

When we add the fixed and current assets, it shows that the total expense in the first year is â‚Ź72.500,-. To cover the costs INNRI makes, there will be investments and loans from 3 sources acquired. INNRI will invest ourselves, get a bank loan and a business angel is needed.

15

FINANCE PLAN

16

OPENING BALANCE SHEET The opening balance shows the possessions and debts from INNRI as of 01-01-2028. This balance clarifies the cost items from which INNRI is build upon. The costs are calculated for three months.

Furniture To make work possible in our office, we are in need of chairs, tables and other pieces of furniture.

Fixed Assets Property INNRI has an office and a shop located in Amsterdam. The property costs include rent, water, gas and heat.

Equipment We need computers, laptops, writing tools, phone’s, internet etc. These costs also include the costs for the introduction and use of our VR experience.

Office rent per month: €350,We have three people working at the office, so €350,- x 3 employees = €1050,-> Rent costs €12.600,- per year

Current Assets Cash in bank The cash in the bank in the balance sheet offers protection against hard times. It also gives us the opportunity to grow in the future.

The size of the store is 100m2 , which costs INNRI €28.000,- rent per year.

Stock The stock cost is a sum of the total production cost, which includes the costs of fabrics, trimmings and labour. This calculation is for 6 months, so the total cost is divided by two.

The income statement shows the process from sales revenue to the final net profit of INNRI. The table clarifies what costs we make and how they act compared to the sales revenue in terms of percentage. Inflation is used for the calculations for the following years.

Office rent Per month: €350,We have three people working at the office, so €350,- x 3 employees = €1050,-> Rent costs €12.600,- per year

Sales revenue Annual demand x Average Selling Price. We expect that our annual demand increases with 20% from 2028 to 2029 and 10% from 2029 to 2030. Cost of goods sold Fabric costs + trimmings + labour costs + transportation costs + delivery

Store rent The size of our store is 100m2 , which costs us €28.000,- rent per year

Gross profit Sales revenue - cost of goods sold

Insurance We insure the office and warehouse to prevent high costs when unexpected incidents occur.

Indirect costs Administrative costs An expense incurred in controlling and directing an organization, directly identifiable with financing, marketing, or production operations. Intotal, there are 5 people in operation, 2 of which are working in the store and the other three are working at the office.

Marketing The costs we make to maintain our channels and social media. Depreciation costs These costs are linearly divided over 5 years and consist out of cost for computers, laptops, writing tools, phone’s, internet etc. 19

CALCULATIONS PROFIT & LOSS Sales revenue -Annual demand

Operating income Gross profit - the indirect costs. 0,5% Interest income 6,0% Interest expense INNRI request a loan of €42.000 at Rabobank. This is a loan based on a linear repayment method. The loan has to be paid of in 20 years [Rabobank zakelijke lening, 2018]. This means that the annual pay off is €2100. The interest of the bank is 6%. The interest is calculated every year over the remaining loan. The first year this is €42.000 x 0,06 = €2.520 The second year: (€42.000 - 2100 ) x 0,06 = €2436 The third year: (€42.000 - 2100 - 2100) x 0.06 = €2352

Distribution of profit INNRI asks for a investment of €20.000 from business angels. The repayment of the business angels starts from the moment that INNRI makes profit, this means from the first year. The business angels get 15% of the annual profit of INNRI. This means that the business angels will earn their investment back after 4 years (see calculation) year 1: 1.469 x 0,15 = €220,35 year 2: 36.651 x 0,15 = €5.497,65 year 3: 55.171 x 0,15 = €8.275,65 year 4: ((55171-36651)/36651) = 0,5 = 50% growth 1,5 x 55171 x 0,15 = €12413,48 220,35 + 5.497,65 + 8.275,65 + 12413,48 = €26.407,13 €26.407,13 > €20.000

SALES FORECAST CALCULATION SALES FORECAST

The sales forecast represents the sales we have per item per month in Autumn Winter 2028/2029. To calculate our expected sales we used the seasonal sales component from detailhandel.info. Esteemed our selling price we predict that the sweater will be our bestseller. Thereafter the pants, which generate the highest revenue. INNRI expects that the single pattern pieces will be adapted more slowly by the market because of its uniqueness. Also, when the customer wants to 35% renew and buy more pattern pieces, the sales will increase.
