Sie hat Nivea ihr Gesicht geschenkt, er hat der Berlin Fashion Week weiblichen Chic eingehaucht. Karin Perathoner und Dimitrios Panagiotopoulos - die eine Model, der eine Designer – sind beide in Südtirol geboren und heute auf dem internationalen Modeparkett zu Hause. Welcome hat sie zum gemeinsamen Interview getroffen.

Karin, Sie sind mit 19 für Dolce & Gabbana, Armani oder Versace gelaufen und haben entsprechend viele Designer kennengelernt.

Was können Sie an einem Designer denn so gar nicht ausstehen?

Dimitrios, Sie haben als Modedesigner entsprechend häufig mit vielen Models zu tun, welche Allüren können Sie nicht ausstehen?

Sie meinten kürzlich in einem Interview, Ihnen fehle momentan der Chic in der Mode. Ist das die Folge des Trends „In der Mode ist alles erlaubt“?

Karin Perathoner: Meine erste Show war für Laura Biagiotti in Mailand, ich war 17 und so aufgeregt. Aber mein Weg führte mich bereits sehr schnell in den Bereich Werbung, so richtig viele Shows bin ich also nicht gelaufen, auch weil ich für den Laufsteg nicht groß genug bin.

Dimitrios Panagiotopoulos: Da fällt mir nichts ein. Aber ich kann Ihnen sagen, was ich an anderen Designern nicht ausstehen kann. Ich kann es nicht ausstehen, wenn sich Designer dauernd profilieren und in jeder ihrer extravaganten Shows eins draufsetzen müssen. Für mich muss die Mode im Mittelpunkt stehen und nicht ein Designer, der sich andauernd ins Rampenlicht stellt.

D: Es fehlen ganz einfach klare Aussagen, Trends, an denen ich mich als Jungdesigner orientieren kann.

Und es fehlt an Fleiß, an akkuratem Arbeiten. Meine Mitarbeiter sind oft der Verzweiflung nahe, da ich so unglaublich pingelig bin. Bei mir muss jede Naht, ganz egal ob sichtbar oder nicht, gerade sein. Selbst für Musterkollektionen auf Modeschauen! Auch wenn ich von Fotografen immer wieder höre, mit Photoshop ließe sich doch nachträglich alles retuschieren.

K: Dasselbe erlebe ich bei meinen jüngeren Modelkolleginnen. Sie kümmern sich weniger um ihr Äußeres, die meisten trainieren nicht, kommen zum Shooting und meinen, man könne anschließend eh am Computer alles retuschieren. Ein Verhalten, das es damals nicht gab.

K: Sie sind heute auf jeden Fall arroganter, zickiger und auch neidischer.

Das kenne ich so nicht, wir haben uns damals immer gefreut, wenn eine von uns einen Job bekommen hat.

Sind Models von heute also selbstbewusster als damals in den 90er Jahren, als Sie Ihre ersten Schauen gelaufen sind?

D: Ich denke, meine Mode könnte ganz gut nach New York passen, für London bin ich wohl zu wenig exzentrisch und Mailand durchlebt im Moment eine schwierige Phase, jeder wartet dort ab, wie sich die Krise entwickelt. Deshalb bin ich auch überzeugt, dass Paris über kurz oder lang Mailand überholen wird.

Noch sind Sie mit Ihren Kollektionen vor allem auf der Berlin Fashion Week zu sehen, doch Sie meinten selbst, dass Sie dort auf Dauer nicht präsent sein möchten. Was peilen Sie an: Mailand, Paris oder eher New York?

K: Ein sexy Kleid oder ein tiefer Ausschnitt gefällt mir zwar an anderen Frauen sehr gut, ich selbst sehe mich aber eher in weiblichen Kleidern mit einem Touch Hippie-Style. Easy Going eben. Wobei ich seit einigen Jahren ein Faible für die britische Modedesignerin Alice Temperley habe.

D: Für mich muss eine Frau weiblich sein. Also für all diese androgynen boyischen Typen kann ich mich einfach nicht begeistern.

D: Ja, definitiv. Mich faszinieren selbstbewusste, starke Frauen, wie eine Sharon Stone, Angelina Jolie oder eine Sophia Loren. Ich mag Frauen, die ihr Leben selbst in die Hand nehmen, die sich selbst etwas aufbauen und vielleicht auch ohne Mann durchs Leben gehen. Vielleicht auch, da meine Mutter eine starke Frau ist. Mein Vater war ständig unterwegs, also hat sie sich um das Hotel und um uns drei Kinder alleine gekümmert.

D: Grundsätzlich, ja. Ich produziere meine Kleider ja schließlich bis Größe 46. Wobei das Thema Laufsteg ein Thema für sich ist. Wenn, dann müssten sich die etablierten Designer im Kollektiv für diese Linie stark machen.

Sie hören bekanntlich auf die Frauen selbst, wollen wissen, was Frau am liebsten trägt. Na los, lassen Sie sich inspirieren von Karin Perathoner!

Wenn Sie über Ihren Entwürfen hängen, welchen Typ Frau stellen Sie sich vor? Eher eine rassige Italienerin mit dunklen Haaren oder doch eher die klassische Schönheit einer Blonden wie eine Karin Perathoner?

Dimitri: Sie zeigten auf der Berliner Modewoche einen mediterranen Look, der sehr weiblich ist.

Gleichzeitig schicken Sie Ihre Models als kämpferische Schönheiten auf den Laufsteg. Haben Sie ein Faible für starke, erfolgreiche Frauen?

Könnten Sie sich vorstellen, bei Ihren Shows auch mal ein fülligeres Model über den Laufsteg stolzieren zu lassen?

Das klingt etwas utopisch!

Werden fülligere Models in der Modeszene also je wirklich eine Chance haben?

K: Eine Freundin von mir ist als Oversize-Model sehr gut im Geschäft und es freut mich riesig für sie. Mich stört es aber ungemein, dass magere Models ständig kritisiert werden und ihnen ständig eine Krankheit vorgeworfen wird. Mir ist es schon mal passiert, dass man mir bei einem Shooting automatisch einen Salat vorgestellt hat. Auf meine Nachfrage, warum ich denn nicht was Ordentliches zu essen bekomme, hat man mir geantwortet, ich sei ja Model.

D: Das zeugt aber auch, dass diese Leute keine Ahnung von diesem Business haben.

K: Ich höre immer wieder Sprüche wie: Oh, bist Du dünn, isst Du überhaupt etwas? Stellen Sie sich doch bitte mal vor, man würde zu einer etwas fülligeren Frau sagen: Oh, bist zu dick, isst Du zu viel? Die Reaktionen können Sie sich vorstellen. Gerade in England spricht man immer nur vom Problem Magersucht, das Bild auf der Straße zeigt aber, dass junge Leute doch viel häufiger mit Übergewicht zu kämpfen haben. Deshalb sage ich grundsätzlich: Wir müssen wieder gute Ernährung lernen.

D: Ich sage sicher keinem Model ins Gesicht, sie sei zu klein, zu dick oder habe für meine Show eine zu große Nase. Und ich nehme an den Models auch nicht selbst Maß, um den Wahrheitsgehalt ihrer Setkarten zu überprüfen. Ich finde das so entwürdigend.

Designer gelten gerade bei Modelcastings gerne als kaltschnäuzig, würden Sie sich dazuzählen?

K: Ich hatte mit 17 ein Casting bei Giorgio Armani für die Fashion Week in Mailand. Ich war per se schon unglaublich nervös und dann meinte er zu mir, dass ich ihm als Typ zwar gefiele, ich müsste in den kommenden Tagen aber noch ein paar Kilo abnehmen. Auf diese Aussage hin habe mir im Anschluss erst recht ein Eis gekauft und habe kein einziges Kilo abgenommen. Ich rate meinen jüngeren Kolleginnen sich Aussagen wie diese nicht zu Herzen zu nehmen, doch ich selbst habe auch mit 39 Jahren mit Kritiken an meinem Körper zu kämpfen.

D: Ja, unbedingt! Warum soll ich für ein einfaches T-Shirt 100 Euro hinblättern, wenn ich es bei H&M um 10 Euro bekomme? Eine Frau, so finde ich, sollte ein bis zwei teure Dinge tragen, eine schöne Tasche oder tolle Schuhe, der Rest kann auch von der Stange kommen.

K: Ich finde Südtiroler sind sehr auf ihr Äußeres bedacht, sie sind immer sehr ordentlich und klassisch angezogen, ihre Kleider sind schön gebügelt, ihre Schuhe sauber geputzt. Das fällt meinen Freunden, die hier auf Urlaub kommen, immer sofort auf.

Dimitri: Kaufen Sie für Sich privat auch mal von der Stange?

Wie finden Sie denn den Südtiroler Style?

D: Das stimmt, gerade von Kundinnen in einem gewissen Alter bekomme ich immer wieder Komplimente für die gute Verarbeitung. Junge Leute wissen das nicht mehr so zu schätzen.

D: Grundsätzliche No-Go's gibt es für mich eigentlich nicht. Es hängt immer davon ab, wie sich jemand stylt.

K. Und was hältst Du von weißen engen Fuseauhosen?

D: Das ist natürlich fürchterlich. Wobei, da fällt mir doch noch was ein. Diese Crocs, die gehen ja gar nicht. Wenn meine Neffen mit mir unterwegs sind, dann wissen sie mittlerweile, diese hässlichen Schuhe müssen zu Hause bleiben.

K: Ich finde Dreiviertelhosen bei Männern grauenvoll, vor allem bei kleineren Herren. Und noch nie verstanden habe ich all die Frauen, die im Sommer Ugg Boots tragen.

D: Also, die finde ich gar nicht so schlimm, das habe ich schon probiert.

Welcher Style muss Ihrer Meinung nach weg von der Straße?

Steckbrief Dimitrios Panagiotopoulos DIMITRI, so heißt das Modelabel des 36-jährigen Modedesigners aus Naturns. Dimitrios Panagiotopoulos graduierte an der renommierten Modeschule Esmod und arbeitete für Vivien Westwood, Jil Sander oder Hugo Boss.

Vor sechs Jahren nunmehr hat der Sohn einer Südtirolerin und eines Griechen sein eigenes Label gegründet.

Seit 2010 sorgt er mit DIMITRI auf der Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Berlin für Furore. Mit feinsten Stoffen, klaren Farben, körperbetonten Silhouetten und kleinflächigen Mustern – für starke, selbstbewusste Frauen mit einem klaren Gespür für ihren individuellen Stil. Der Designer produziert seine Mode in Italien, Abendkleider und Couture Kleider fertigt er in Handarbeit in seinem Atelier in Meran an.

Karin Perathoner Die 39-jährige gebürtige Boznerin ist Südtirols Werbegesicht Nummer eins. Als 17-Jährige entdeckt, hat Perathoner eine internationale Modelkarriere hingelegt. Zunächst als Catwalkmodel für Labels wie Laura Biagiotti, Dolce & Gabbana, Bulgari oder Versace. Dann als Werbeträgerin in Zeitschriften und Werbespots für renommierte Marken wie Nestlé, Kinder, Johnson & Johnson, Oil of Olaz, Mc Donalds und Nivea. Die blonde Schönheit ist vor einem Jahr Mutter geworden, nach über 20 Jahren in London, New York und Tokyo lebt sie seit Kurzem mit ihrem Ehemann James (ebenfalls Model) und ihrem Sohn Finley in Mölten, einem kleinen idyllischen Dorf auf dem Tschöggelberg auf 1140 Metern Meereshöhe. Karin Perathoner ist beim Boss Model Management unter Vertrag.

Karin Perathoner e Dimitrios Panagiotopoulos - lei una modella, lui uno stilista - sono entrambi nati in Alto Adige e oggi sono di casa nell’ambito dell’industria della moda internazionale. Welcome li ha incontrati per una doppia intervista.

Karin, Lei a 19 anni ha sfilato per Dolce & Gabbana, Armani e Versace e ha conosciuto molti stilisti. Che cosa non può proprio sopportare di uno stilista?

Dimitrios, come stilista ha lavorato spesso con numerose modelle.

Quale allure non può soffrire?

Karin Perathoner: La mia prima sfilata è stata per Laura Biagiotti a Milano, avevo 17 anni ed ero emozionata. Ma, il mio percorso mi ha portato molto rapidamente nel campo della pubblicità. Quindi, presa dai molteplici impegni in questo campo non ho più sfilato, anche perché per la passerella non sono abbastanza alta.

Dimitrios Panagiotopoulos: Non mi viene in mente niente. Ma, posso dirLe quello che non sopporto di altri stilisti. Non posso sopportare quando gli stilisti si mettono continuamente in mostra e quando in ogni loro stravagante sfilata devono rincarare la dose. Secondo me tutto deve ruotare intorno alla moda e non ad uno stilista che sta sempre sotto i riflettori.

D: Mancano semplicemente messaggi chiari, trend a cui io, in qualità di giovane stilista, posso far riferimento.

E manca lo zelo, un lavoro accurato.

I miei collaboratori spesso arrivano quasi alla disperazione, perché sono incredibilmente esigente. Per me ogni cucitura, che sia visibile o meno, deve essere precisa. Lo stesso vale per le collezioni di campioni alle sfilate di moda! Anche se continuo a sentire dai fotografi che usano Photoshop che potrei far ritoccare tutto in un secondo momento.

Recentemente in un’intervista sosteneva che nella moda Le manca attualmente lo chic.

Questa è la conseguenza del trend “nella moda tutto è concesso”?

K: Io lo vivo con le mie colleghe più giovani. Si preoccupano sempre di meno del loro aspetto esteriore, la maggior parte non si allena, vengono allo shooting e pensano di poter ritoccare ogni cosa al computer. Un comportamento che un tempo non esisteva.

K: Oggi sono decisamente più arroganti, più capricciose e anche più invidiose. Non so perché sia così.

In passato, ci faceva sempre piacere quando una di noi riusciva ad ottenere un incarico.

D: Penso che la mia moda possa adattarsi molto bene alla realtà di New York. Per Londra sono probabilmente troppo poco eccentrico e Milano in questo momento sta attraversando una fase difficile. Lì tutti attendono per vedere come la crisi si evolverà. Sono, quindi, convinto che prima o poi Parigi sorpasserà Milano.

K: Un abito sexy o una scollatura profonda mi piacciono molto, ma su altre donne. Io mi vedo piuttosto in abiti femminili con un tocco di stile hippie, easy going. Fermo restando che da alcuni anni ho un debole per la stilista inglese Alice Temperley.

D: Per me una donna deve essere femminile. Quindi, non mi esalto per tutti questi tipi androgini mascolini che si vedono in giro.

Le modelle di oggi sono più sicure di sé di quanto non fosse negli anni Novanta quando Lei ha fatto la Sua prima sfilata?

Lei con le Sue collezioni è ancora soprattutto alla settimana della moda di Berlino, ma ha affermato che a lungo andare non desidera esservi più presente. A che cosa sta puntando: Milano, Parigi o piuttosto New York?

Generalmente Lei ascolta le donne quando crea le Sue collezioni. Allora, Si lasci ispirare da Karin Perathoner!

Quando crea i Suoi disegni, quale tipo di donna si immagina? Una donna italiana con capelli scuri oppure una bellezza classica di una bionda come Karin Perathoner?

Dimitri: alla settimana della moda di Berlino è andato in scena un look mediterraneo molto femminile. Allo stesso tempo le Sue modelle in passerella erano nelle vesti di bellezze grintose.

Ha un debole per le donne forti e di successo?

Nel corso dei Suoi show, riuscirebbe ad immaginarsi di lasciar sfilare con orgoglio sulla passerella una modella grassoccia?

Il che suona un po’ utopico! In verità così facendo le modelle più rotondette non avranno alcuna chance nel mondo della moda?

D: Sì, senza dubbio. Mi affascinano le donne sicure di sé, combattive come una Sharon Stone, un’Angelina Jolie oppure una Sophia Loren.

Mi piacciono le donne che prendono in mano la propria vita, che costruiscono qualcosa da sole e forse che vivono anche senza un uomo accanto. Questo probabilmente perché anche la mia mamma è una donna forte. Mio padre era sempre in viaggio e, quindi, lei si è presa cura da sola dell’hotel e di noi, tre figli.

D: In linea di massima sì. Dopo tutto produco i miei abiti fino alla taglia 46. Fermo restando che le passerelle sono un mondo a parte. Se fosse così, allora gli stilisti affermati dovrebbero fortemente supportare questo orientamento nel collettivo.

K: Una mia amica è, come modella oversize, molto brava nel lavoro e sono felice per lei. Ma mi dà molto fastidio che le modelle magre siano costantemente criticate e continuamente accusate di essere malate.

Una volta mi è capitato che nel corso di uno shooting mi sia stato presentato in automatico un’insalata. Alla mia richiesta del motivo per cui non ricevessi da mangiare quello che mangiavano tutti, mi è stato risposto perché ero una modella.

D: Ciò mostra anche che tali persone non hanno idea di cosa sia questo business.

K: Mi capita spesso di sentire commenti del tipo: oh, sei magra, mangi niente? Si immagini che cosa verrebbe detto ad una donna grassoccia: oh, sei troppo grassa, mangi troppo?

Può pensare alle reazioni. Proprio in Inghilterra non si parla altro che del problema dell’anoressia. Ciò che si incontra per strada mostra però che i giovani devono lottare molto più spesso contro l’obesità. Ecco perché dico sempre che bisogna imparare a mangiare in modo sano.

D: Sicuramente non dico in faccia ad una modella che è troppo bassa, troppo grassa o che per la mia sfilata ha un naso troppo pronunciato.

E non prendo nemmeno le misure delle modelle per verificare la veridicità della documentazione presentata. Lo trovò così degradante.

Proprio durante i casting, gli stilisti sono considerati spesso e volentieri sgarbati.

Cosa ci può dire a proposito?

K: A 17 anni ho fatto un casting da Giorgio Armani per la settimana della moda di Milano. Di per sé ero già incredibilmente nervosa. Lui mi disse che come tipo gli andavo a genio, ma che nei giorni seguenti avrei dovuto perdere qualche chilo. Dopo questa affermazione mi sono comprata a maggior ragione un gelato e non ho perso nemmeno un chilo. Consiglio alle mie giovani colleghe di non prendersi a cuore queste asserzioni.

Nondimeno io stessa devo lottare anche a 39 anni contro le critiche rivolte al mio corpo.

D: Assolutamente sì! Perché dovrei sborsare 100 euro per una semplice t-shirt quando da H&M possa averla a 10 euro? Penso che una donna dovrebbe indossare una o due cose costose, una bella borsa oppure fantastiche scarpe. Il resto può essere già confezionato.

K: Penso che gli altoatesini siano molto interessati al loro aspetto esteriore.

Sono sempre ben vestiti con una tendenza al classico, i loro abiti sono ben stirati, le scarpe ben pulite. Questo balza subito sempre agli occhi dei miei amici che vengono qui in vacanza.

D: È vero, ricevo sempre complimenti per la buona manifattura proprio dai clienti di una certa età. I giovani, invece, non l’apprezzano più.

Dimitri: a volte compra per sé abiti già confezionati?

Cosa pensate dello stile altoatesino?

Secondo Voi cosa non deve assolutamente sussistere?

D: A dire il vero per me in linea di massima non ci sono tabù. Dipende sempre dallo stile con cui ci si veste.

K: E cosa ne pensi dei fuseaux bianchi?

D: Terribili. E a pensarci non mi piacciono nemmeno le Crocs. Quando i miei nipoti sono in viaggio con me, sanno che devono lasciare a casa queste brutte calzature.

K: Io trovo orribili i pantaloni tre quarti da uomo, soprattutto sugli uomini più bassi. E ancora non capisco tutte quelle donne che in estate indossano gli stivali Ugg di montone.

D: Non li trovo così male perché li ho già provati.

Breve biografia Dimitrios Panagiotopoulos DIMITRI, così si chiama il marchio di moda del trentaseienne stilista di Naturno. Dimitrios Panagiotopoulos si è diplomato presso la prestigiosa scuola di moda Esmod e ha lavorato per Vivien Westwood, Jil Sander e Hugo Boss. Sei anni fa Dimitrios, figlio di madre altoatesina e padre greco, ha fondato il suo marchio. Dal 2010 con DIMITRI fa furore alla settimana della moda Mercedes Benz di Berlino grazie a tessuti di pregio, colori vivaci, silhouette avvolgenti e modelli in scala ridotta per donne forti, sicure di sé e con un chiaro intuito per il loro stile individuale. Lo stilista produce la sua moda in Italia e crea a mano vestiti da sera e abiti di sartoria nel suo atelier di Merano.

Karin Perathoner and Dimitrios Panagiotopoulos - she a model, he a stylist were both born in South Tyrol and today are right at home in the international fashion industry. Welcome met them for a double interview.

Karin, when you were 19 years you modeled on the catwalks of Dolce & Gabbana, Armani and Versace and have met many designers. What is one thing you can't stand in a fashion designer?

Karin Perathoner: My first show was for Laura Biagiotti at Milan, I was 17 and I was nervous. But my path led me very quickly into the field of advertising. So, due to the many commitments in this field I have not done much runway, also because I am not really tall enough.

Dimitrios Panagiotopoulos: I can't think of anything. But I can tell you that I cannot stand other designers.

I can't stand when the designers are continually on display and when in every extravagant show they feel the need to exaggerate. In my opinion everything must revolve around fashion in the spotlight and not the stylist.

D: Clear-cut messages are simply missing, a trend which I, as a young designer, can attest to. It lacks zeal and precision. My collaborators are often driven to despair because I am so demanding. For me, every seam, visible or not, must be precise. The same goes for sample collections at fashion shows! Still, I continue to hear from photographers who use Photoshop to retouch everything after the fact.

Dimitrios, as a stylist you have worked often with numerous models. What is one thing you can't stand about them?

In a recent interview you claimed that fashion is no longer chic. Is this a consequence of the trend "in fashion, anything goes"?

K: I co-exist with my younger colleagues. They care less and less of outward appearance, most are not trained for the shoot, and think that everything can be tweaked on the computer: a behaviour that once did not exist.

K: Today they are much more arrogant, more impulsive and even more envious. I don't know why. For us, in the past, we were always pleased when one of us got a job.

D: I think that my fashion can be very well adapted to the reality of New York. For London my designs are probably not eccentric enough and Milan is going through a difficult time right now. There, everyone is waiting to see how the crisis will evolve.

Therefore I am convinced that Paris will sooner or later overtake Milan.

K: I like a sexy dress or a plunging neckline, but on other women. I see myself in pretty, feminine dresses with a touch of hippie style, easy going. Having said that, for a few years now I have had a soft spot for the British designer Alice Temperley.

Are the models of today more self-confident than in the nineties when you did your first show?

You are still active with your collections especially at Fashion Week in Berlin, but say that in the long term you might no longer be present. What direction are you heading toward: Milan, Paris or New York?

Generally you listen to women when you create your collection, so now you can be inspired by Karin Perathoner!

When creating your designs, what kind of woman you imagine?

An Italian woman with dark hair or a classic blonde beauty like Karin Perathoner?

Dimitri: at Fashion Week in Berlin you staged a very feminine Mediterranean look. At the same time your models on the catwalk were portrayed in a gritty sort of beauty. Do you have a weakness for strong and successful women?

In the course of your show, can you envision a fuller-formed woman modelling on the catwalk?

Which sounds a bit utopian! In reality, the full figured models don't really have much of a chance in the world of fashion, do you agree?

D: For me, a woman must be feminine. So, I do not get excited for all these androgynous masculine types that you see around.

D: Yes, without a doubt. I am fascinated by self-confident combative women, like Sharon Stone, Angelina Jolie or Sophia Loren. I like women who take control of their lives, they build something for themselves and perhaps even without a man next to them. This is probably because my mom is a strong woman. My father was always travelling so she took care of us, three children, and the hotel by herself.

D: Basically, yes. After all I produce my clothes up to size 46…even though the runways are a world apart. For it to change, the established designers should strongly support this orientation as a collective.

K: A friend of mine is an oversized model, very good at her work and I'm happy for her. But it really bothers me that skinny models are constantly criticized and accused of being sick.

Once, in the course of a shoot I was automatically given a salad. When I asked why I didn't receive the same food as everyone else, I was told because I was a model.

D: It also shows that these people have no idea what this business is all about.

K: I often hear comments like: Oh, you're thin, do you eat anything?

Imagine saying to a plump woman: Oh, you're so fat, don't you eat too much? Can you imagine the reaction? In England they don't speak of anything other than the problem of anorexia. Those you see on the street, however, show that young people have to struggle a lot more often against obesity. That's why I always say that you have to learn to eat in a healthy way.

D: I would never tell a model to her face that she is too short, too fat for my show or has a nose that is too pronounced. And I don't even take measurements of the models to check the validity of the documents they submitted. I find it so degrading.

During a casting, designers are often considered rude. What can you tell us about that?

K: At 17, I made a casting by Giorgio Armani for the fashion week in Milan.

I was incredibly nervous as it was. He told me that as I was just the right type, but that in the following days I would have to lose a few pounds. After he said that, I bought an ice cream and I did not lose a single pound. My advice to young colleagues is don't take these comments to heart. Nevertheless, I still find myself at age 39, fighting against the criticisms made about my body.

D: Absolutely! Why should I shell out 100 euros for a simple t-shirt when I can get it for at 10 euros from H & M? I think a woman should wear one or two expensive things, a nice bag or fantastic shoes. The rest can be ready-to-wear.

K: think the Southern Tyroleans are very interested in their appearance.

They are always well dressed in a classic style, their clothes are neatly pressed, their shoes perfectly clean.

My friends who come on vacation always notice this.

D: It's true. I always get compliments for good workmanship by the customers of a certain age. Young people no longer appreciate it.

Dimitri: Do you sometimes buy ready-made clothes for yourself?

What do you think of the South Tyrolean style?

For you, what is an absolute no-go in fashion?

D: Actually, for me, in principle, there are no taboos. It always depends on the style in which we dress.

K. And what do you think of white leggings?

D: Terrible. And to think I do not even like Crocs. When my nieces and nephews are travelling with me, they know that they must leave these ugly shoes at home.

K: I can't stand three-quarter length pants on men, especially on shorter men. And I still do not understand all those women who wear Ugg sheepskin boots in summer.

D: I don't find them so bad because I tried them.

Short biography Dimitrios Panagiotopoulos DIMITRI, the name of the fashion brand of the 36 year old designer from Naturno. Dimitrios Panagiotopoulos is a graduate of the prestigious Esmod fashion school and worked for Vivienne Westwood, Jil Sander and Hugo Boss. Six years ago Dimitrios, the son of a Tyrolean mother and Greek father, founded his own brand. Since 2010 DIMITRI is all the rage at Fashion Week Mercedes Benz Berlin thanks to quality fabrics, bright colours, smooth silhouettes and created for strong, self-confident women with a clear insight to their individual style. The designer produces his fashion in Italy and creates handmade dresses and tailored suits in his atelier in Merano.

Karin Perathoner The 39 year old Bolzano native is the number one advertising face in South Tyrol. Discovered at the age of 17 years, Perathoner embarked on a modelling career at the international level. First on the catwalks of Laura Biagiotti, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace and Bulgari, then as the face in magazines and commercials for well-known brands such as Nestle, Kinder, Johnson & Johnson, Oil of Olaz, Nivea and Mc Donalds. A year ago she became a mother. After over 20 years in London, New York and Tokyo, she now lives with her husband James (also a model) and her son Finley in Meltina, an idyllic village on Monzoccolo at 1,140 meters above sea level. Sabina Valtingojer

Werdegang: Die Mutter von Zwillingssöhnen hat in Innsbruck und Venedig studiert und führt in Meran zusammen mit ihrem Bruder Klaus seit neun Jahren ein eigenes Studio. Die Architektin hat sich nicht nur mit dem Entwurf von Einfamilienhäusern und der Inneneinrichtung von Studios und Wohnungen einen Namen gemacht, sondern auch mit öffentlichen Prestigeprojekten wie der Promenade Meran vom Kurhaus bis zur Theaterbrücke und dem Freibad Schenna. Aktuell plant sie die Seniorenresidenz „Johanneum“ in Dorf Tirol.

Carriera: madre di due figli gemelli, ha studiato a Innsbruck e a Venezia e, con suo fratello Klaus, gestisce da nove anni un proprio studio. Il suo nome è particolarmente noto non soltanto per la progettazione di case unifamiliari e di interni di studi e appartamenti, ma anche per prestigiosi progetti di carattere pubblico, quali la promenade di Merano dal Kurhaus fino a Ponte Teatro e il Lido di Scena. Attualmente sta pianificando la casa di riposo “Johanneum” di Tirolo.

Career: Mother of twins, she studied in Innsbruck and Venice and, and has run her own studio with her brother Klaus for nine years. Gusto & Sapori: il Ristorante Sissi. In questo splendido edificio in stile liberty, lo Chef Andrea Fenoglio crea piatti sofisticati con un tocco di tradizione. Il DNA della sua cucina è italiano, la tecnica proviene da tutto il mondo. Ciò si evidenzia nei suoi piatti come il Tataki di cinghiale con vinaigrette e lamelle di funghi oppure il filetto di sgombro affumicato con mela e zenzero. Indirizzo: Via Galilei 44.

Si susseguono costantemente esposizioni di newcomer regionali e internazionali. www.kunstmeranoarte.org Bike & Hike: ai cosiddetti “Omini di pietra”, un luogo magico con uno scenario naturale mozzafiato. Questo è il luogo che preferisco in assoluto. A 2.000 metri di altitudine si ergono in fila oltre un centinaio di cumuli di pietra.

This is my favourite place ever. At 2,000 meters above sea level over a hundred stone piles rise in a row. Can be reached in a 6 ½ hour hike from Verano through the Auener Pass.

Lukas Burgauner

Werdegang: In Innsbruck und Sevilla studiert, führt der gebürtige Völser seit sechs Jahren nunmehr sein eigenes Architekturbüro in Bozen. Vor allem Unternehmen vertrauen auf ”ntwürfe und kreativen Ideen. So hat Burgauner etwa den Firmensitz des Unternehmens Rotohoblaas in Kurtatsch geplant. Dieser zweigeschossige Bau beeindruckt durch eine spannende Holz-Glas-Architektur. Auf Burgauner setzte aber auch das Südtiroler Energieunternehmen Fri-EL, wenn es darum ging am Bozner Flughafen einen privaten Flugzeughangar zu bauen. Ein weiteres Prestigeprojekt ist die Tank- und Raststätte „Meborast” auf der Südspur der Mebo von Meran nach Bozen, faszinierend vor allem aufgrund des monolithischen Charakters.

Sono soprattutto le aziende che si affidano ai suoi progetti e alle sue idee creative. Per questo motivo Burgauner ha stabilito la sede della sua società Rotho Blaas a Cortaccia. Questo edificio a due piani vanta un’affascinante architettura in legno e vetro. Su Burgauner ha puntato anche la società energetica altoatesina Fri-EL, quando si è trattato di costruire un hangar privato all’Aeroporto di Bolzano. Ulteriori prestigiosi progetti degni

di essere menzionati sono l’area di servizio “Meborast” in direzione sud della Mebo da Merano a Bolzano, che affascina soprattutto per i suoi caratteri monolitici, e la sede dell’azienda di trasporto Silbernagl a Siusi allo Sciliar.

Armin Pedevilla

Werdegang: In Graz studiert, lebt und wirkt er heute in Bruneck. Seit acht Jahren nunmehr führt er dort mit seinem Bruder Alexander ein eigenes Studio. Sein Portfolio reicht von privaten und öffentlichen Architekturprojekten bis hin zu Inneneinrichtungen und Designkonzepten. Ziel ist es dabei immer, die Wünsche und Bedürfnisse der Menschen zu verwirklichen und sie mit einer klaren architektonischen Formensprache zu vereinen. So geschehen etwa beim Pflegeheim in Bruneck oder dem Schmuckgeschäft Lapis in der historischen Altstadt von Bruneck. In diesem Shop findet sich das eigens für diesen Raum entworfene Ornament auf den cremeweißen Oberflächen der Vitrinen, den Spiegeln und der Metallrückwand wider. 2012 wurde Pedevilla dafür mit dem Architekturpreis bestarchitects13 ausgezeichnet. Bezeichnend auch die Sanierung des "Birchhofes" im malerischen Ensemble von Maria Saalen, Altes hat der Brunecker Architekt hier respektiert, Neues zugelassen.

terizzato da superfici color panna delle vetrine, da specchi e da una parete posteriore in metallo. Nel 2012, Pedevilla è stato insignito con il Premio Architettura “Best Architects 13”. Significativa anche la ristrutturazione del “Birchhof” nel pittoresco ensemble di Maria Sares. In questo caso l’architetto di Brunico ha rispettato l’antico, con un occhio di riguardo al nuovo.

Werdegang: In Graz studiert, führt er seit 13 Jahren ein eigenes Studio im malerischen Künstlerstädtchen Klausen, wo auch viele Neubauten seine Handschrift tragen: Etwa der örtliche Kindergarten und eine Reihe von privaten Klimahäusern. In Vintl direkt an der Pustertaler Straße realisierte er erst kürzlich die Feinkäserei Capriz, auf knapp 1.000 Quadratmetern hat er eine wahre Ziegenkäse-Erlebniswelt geschaffen. Gebaut wurde ausschließlich mit nachhaltigen Materialien wie Südtiroler Zirbenholz, Kupfer und Glas. Ein weiteres Prestigeprojekt ist die Produktionshalle der Firma Holteg im Eggental, eine charakteristische Konstruktion, die eine extreme Leichtigkeit versprüht, da das gesamte Gebäude mit Zirbelholzleisten vertikal beplankt wurde.

Carriera: ha studiato a Graz e da tredici anni gestisce il suo studio nella pittoresca cittadina di Chiusa, dove molti nuovi edifici portano la sua firma, come ad esempio l’asilo e una serie di case clima private. A Vandoies, direttamente sulla Strada Statale della Val Pusteria, ha di recente realizzato il caseificio Capriz. Su quasi 1.000 metri quadrati ha creato un vero e proprio mondo del formaggio caprino, costruito esclusivamente con materiali sostenibili come il legno di pino cembro dell’Alto Adige, rame e vetro. Un ulteriore progetto prestigioso è rappresentato dall’impianto di produzione della società Holteg della Val d’Ega, un design

particolare che comunica un’estrema leggerezza, in quanto l’intero edificio è stato costruito con pali di pino cembro ad effetto slanciante in senso verticale.

Career: he studied in Graz, lives and works in Brunico, where for the past eight years manages his own studio with his brother Alexander. His portfolio includes architectural projects of public and private character to concept designs and interiors. The goal is always to carry out the wants needs of the people and bring them together through a clear architectural language. This takes place in a nursing home of Brunico or at the Lapis jewellery shop located in the historical centre of the town, where you perceive an ornamental design specially chosen for this type of space, with its cream-colored surfaces of the windows, mirrors and a metal wall in back. In 2012, Pedevilla was awarded the "13 Best Architects" prize.

Also significant was the renovation of the "Birchhof" in the picturesque setting of Maria Sares. In this case, the architect of Brunico has respected the old, with a special focus on the new.

Bike & Hike: Die Törggelerundwanderung, ein Klassiker, der nie langweilig wird. Der Wanderweg führt von Klausen über die Säbener Promenade nach Pardell, Verdings, Latzfons, Garn, Schnauders und zurück über den Mair zu Viersch. Zur Belohnung, eine zünftige Marende mit Speck, Graukäse und Schüttelbrot beim Gasthof Huber in Pardell.

Michaela Wolf

Werdegang: Eigentlich stammt die Architektin aus Meran, lebt und projektiert aber in Brixen. Dort führt sie gemeinsam mit ihrem Ehemann Gerd Bergmeister seit 10 Jahren das Architekturbüro bergmeisterwolf. Michaela Wolf studierte in Innsbruck, London und Mailand, sie experimentiert gerne mit Formen und Materialien, ihre Architektursprache ist klar und stark. Zu sehen etwa an der Feuerwehrstation in Margreid, die direkt in den Felsen gebaut wurde. Von außen sichtbar sind nur eine schwarz pigmentierte Betonwand und drei daraus hervortretende Volumen.

Von der Klarheit der Volumen, davon zeugt auch das Hotel Pupp in Brixen. Zusammen mit Christian Schwienbacher haben sie und ihr Mann einen Hauch Großstadtflair in das liebliche Brixen gebracht: Das völlig in weiß gehaltene Hotel besticht mit futuristischer Bauweise, stilvollem Ambiente und exklusivem Design. 2011 wurden sie dafür mit dem Südtiroler Architekturpreis ausgezeichnet.

Michaela Wolf ha studiato a Innsbruck, Londra e Milano, le piace sperimentare con le forme e i materiali e il suo linguaggio architettonico è chiaro e forte. Il suo è un lavorare con il luogo, il paesaggio, con ciò che è disponibile. Basti pensare alla stazione dei vigili del fuoco di Magrè, costruita direttamente nella roccia.

Dall’esterno sono visibili solo un muro nero di cemento pigmentato e tre volumi sporgenti. Della nitidezza dei volumi è testimonianza anche l’Hotel Pupp di Bressanone. In colla-

borazione con Christian Schwienbacher, Michaela Wolf e Gerd Bergmeister hanno portato un tocco di stile urbano nell’amata Bressanone: l’hotel, interamente in bianco, si distingue, infatti, per il suo sistema costruttivo futuristico, l’ambiente elegante e il design esclusivo. Nel 2011 è stata insignita del Premio Architettura Alto Adige.

ZUBEREITUNG • Garnelenschwänze von Panzer und Darm befreien, waschen, abtrocknen und mit Speckscheiben umwickeln.

PREPARAZIONE • Pulire le code di gambero, lavarle, asciugarle e avvolgerle con le fette di speck.

LENTICCHIE "BELUGA"

• Beluga-Linsen etwa 1 Stunde in kaltem Wasser einweichen.

• Olivenöl erhitzen, Zwiebeln, Knoblauch und Sellerie darin dünsten.

Linsen und Thymian dazugeben, mit Fleischsuppe aufgießen und kochen lassen. Mit Salz und Pfeffer würzen und mit etwas Balsamicoessig abschmecken.

• Mettere in ammollo in acqua fredda le lenticchie per 1 ora circa.

• Riscaldare l’olio, stufarvi la cipolla, l’aglio e il sedano.

Unire le lenticchie e il timo, irrorare con il brodo o l’acqua e far bollire. Aromatizzare con sale, pepe e un goccio di aceto balsamico.

FERTIGSTELLUNG

ULTIMAZIONE

• In einer Pfanne Olivenöl erhitzen, Garnelen pfeffern, auf beiden Seiten kurz und nicht zu heiß braten.

• Linsen auf einem Teller anrichten, Garnelen darauflegen, mit Speckscheiben, Friséesalat und Dillspitzen sowie eingekochtem Balsamicoessig garnieren und servieren.

• Riscaldare l’olio d’oliva in una padella, pepare i gamberi, arrostirli da entrambi i lati a fuoco non troppo alto.

• Distribuire le lenticchie sui piatti, adagiarvi sopra i gamberi, guarnire con le fette di speck, i ciuffetti di insalata frisée e di aneto, impreziosire con la riduzione di aceto balsamico e infine servire.

• Soak cold lentils in water for 1 hour.

• Heat the oil, and stew the onion, garlic and celery. Combine lentils and thyme, cover with broth or water and boil. Flavour with salt, pepper and a dash of balsamic vinegar.

COMPLETION

• Heat the olive oil in a pan, pepper shrimp, roast them on both sides on a moderate flame.

• Distribute lentils on plates; arrange the shrimp over, garnish with slices of speck, the tufts of frisée salad and dill, drizzle with the balsamic vinegar reduction and serve.

SCHOKOLADENTÖRTCHEN • 85 g Bitterschokolade (Kuvertüre) • 80 g weiche Butter • 20 g Zucker • 3 Eigelb • 1 EL Cognac oder Brandy • 1 Msp. Mark einer Vanilleschote • 30 g Mehl • 20 g Speisestärke • 3 Eiweiß • 1 Prise Salz • 20 g Zucker VANILLESAHNE • 4 EL leicht geschlagene Sahne • 1 EL Staubzucker • 1 Msp. Mark einer Vanilleschote WEITERES • weiche Butter und Zucker für die Förmchen • Staubzucker zum Bestreuen ZUBEREITUNG • Auflaufförmchen ausbuttern und mit Zucker ausstreuen.

• Bitterschokolade klein schneiden und in einer Schüssel im warmen Wasserbad schmelzen.

• Butter mit Zucker schaumig rühren.

• Eigelb nach und nach einrühren, Cognac, Vanillemark, Mehl und Speisestärke unterrühren.

• Die nicht zu warme geschmolzene Schokolade in die Butter-Ei-Masse einrühren.

• Eiweiß mit Salz anschlagen, mit Zucker zu Eischnee schlagen und vorsichtig unter die Schokomasse heben.

• Die Förmchen zu drei Vierteln mit der Masse befüllen.

• Im auf 180 Grad vorgeheizten Backofen etwa 12 Minuten backen.

VANILLESAHNE • Die leicht geschlagene Sahne mit Staubzucker und Vanillemark vermischen.

FERTIGSTELLUNG • Die Törtchen aus den Förmchen stürzen und noch warm auf Tellern mit Vanillesahne anrichten.

Mit Staubzucker bestreuen und servieren.

TORTINO AL CIOCCOLATO • 85 g di cioccolato fondente (copertura) • 80 g di burro • 20 g di zucchero • 3 tuorli d’uovo • 1 C di cognac o brandy • 1 bustina di estratto di vaniglia • 30 g di farina • 25 g di amido per uso alimentare • 3 albumi • 1 pizzico di sale • 20 g di zucchero CREMA ALLA VANIGLIA • 4 C di panna leggermente montata • 1 C di zucchero a velo • 1 bustina di estratto di vaniglia INOLTRE • Burro ammorbidito e zucchero per ungere gli stampi • Zucchero a velo da spolverare PREPARAZIONE • Riscaldare il forno attivando la fonte di calore superiore e inferiore a 160 gradi.

• Ungere gli stampi per sformati col burro e cospargerli con il pangrattato.

• Sminuzzare il cioccolato e scioglierlo in una ciotola a bagnomaria.

RICETTA • Mescolare il burro ammorbidito e lo zucchero fino ad ottenere un composto spumoso.

• Introdurre gradualmente i tuorli d’uovo. Aggiungere mescolando il cognac, lo zucchero vanigliato, la farina e l’amido.

• Unire il cioccolato non troppo caldo alla massa di burro.

• Iniziare a montare gli albumi con il sale, aggiungere lo zucchero e continuare fino a neve ferma, quindi incorporare delicatamente alla massa ottenuta in precedenza.

• Versare la massa negli stampi riempiendoli per 3/4.

• Foderare una pentola con della carta crespata da forno, versare 2 dita di acqua calda, introdurvi gli stampi, cuocere nel forno preriscaldato e servire ancora caldi.

• Temperatura di cottura: 180 gradi.

• Tempo di cottura: circa 12 minuti.

CHOCOLATE CAKE • 85 g of dark chocolate (for frosting) • 80 g butter • 20 g sugar • 3 egg yolks • 1 tbsp. cognac or brandy • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract • 30 g flour • 25 g corn starch • 3 egg whites • 1 pinch of salt • 20 g sugar VANILLA CREAM • 4 tbsp. of lightly whipped cream • 1 tbsp. icing sugar • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract ALSO • Softened butter and sugar to grease the pans • Powdered sugar to sprinkle PREPARATION • Preheat the oven activating both upper and lower hear sources less than 160°C. • Grease the moulds with butter and sprinkle with breadcrumbs.

• Cut the chocolate and dissolve it in a separate bowl in a double boiler PROCEDURE • Mix the softened butter and sugar until frothy.

• Gradually add the egg yolks, stir in cognac, vanilla powdered sugar, flour and starch.

• Combine the slightly cooled chocolate with the butter.

• Begin beating the egg whites with salt, add sugar and continue until stiff peaks form, then gently fold into the egg yolk mixture.

• Pour into moulds, filling them to ¾ of their capacity.

• Line a pan with parchment paper, pour in two centimetres of hot water, place the moulds in the pan, then bake in preheated oven and serve hot.

• Baking temperature: 180°C. • Cooking time: about 12 minutes.

Das 300 Kilometer lange Event findet in 7 Etappen statt. Die Tour führt von Rodeneck Lüsen, nach Prags, dann Toblach und abschließend nach Sexten. Das Rennen gehört wohl zu den schönsten, aber auch schwierigsten in ganz Europa und bietet jedem Besucher eine faszinierende Show.

Das internationale Schneeskulpturen Festival lockt jedes Jahr rund 30 verschiedene Künstler von überall auf der Welt ins Hochpustertal. Der Schnee wird mit Wasser und Kälte gepresst und dann an den gewünschten Stellen zurechtgefräst. Die phantasievollen Ideen der Mannschaften überraschen immer wieder.

L’Alpen-Trail prevede 300 chilometri di percorso per un totale di 7 tappe. La partenza è prevista da Rodengo Luson, prosegue per Braies, Dobbiaco per poi terminare a Sesto. La gara è una delle più belle, ma anche una delle più impegnative d’Europa e offre agli spettatori uno spettacolo ricco di fascino.

Das Gebiet ist für jede Art von Überraschungen gut und sorgt nicht nur bei Kindern und Familien, sondern auch bei Profis für Herzflattern und unvergessliche Schneeerlebnisse. Alla stazione a monte della cabinovia Piz La Ila si trova uno dei “cottage” più famosi delle Alpi: il Moritzino. Dalle ore 14.00, a 2.100 metri di altezza, hanno inizio i party con prosecco, champagne e DJ dal vivo. Non c’è da stupirsi se qui si dimentica lo scorrere del tempo e se si festeggia fino a tarda serata con star e starlet. La sera, il Moritzino è anche un luogo di incontro molto amato dai buongustai.
