TPACK as a dynamic approach for technology integration in the Classroom PRESENTED BY HÉCTOR PALALA MARTÍNEZ TTS 2020
Session Overview Goal Present TPACK integration techology framework in the EFL classroom that sistematically develops English teachers' skills to select technologies to use in their classroom that enhance what to teach, how to teach, and how students learn.
TPACKÂ is a technology integration framework.
TPACK identifies three types of knowledge instructors need to combine for successful edtech integration—
Pedagogical Knowledge Technological Knowledge And Content Knowledge
Content Knowledge CK
Teachers’ knowledge about the subject matter to be learned or taught. (Koehler & Mishra, 2009).
Pedagogical Knowledge PK
Teachers’ deep knowledge about the processes and practices or methods of teaching and learning. (Koehler & Mishra, 2009).
Technological Knowledge TK
Knowledge about certain ways of thinking about, and working with technology, tools and resources. (Koehler & Mishra, 2009).
Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) – “Consistent with and similar to Shulman’s idea of knowledge of pedagogy that is applicable to the teaching of specific content. Technological Content Knowledge (TCK) – “An understanding of the manner in which technology and content influence and constrain one another. Technological Pedagogical Knowledge (TPK) – “An understanding of how teaching and learning can change when particular technologies are used in particular ways.
TPACK is to understand how to use technology to teach concepts in a way that enhances student learning experiences.
HOW TO INCORPORATE THE TPACK FRAMEWORK IN YOUR CLASSROOM. Content Knowledge (CK) What are you teaching and what is your own knowledge of the subject?
Pedagogical Knowledge (PK) How do your students learn best and what instructional strategies do you need to meet their needs and the requirements of the lesson plan?
Technological Knowledge (TK) What digital tools are available to you, which do you know well enough to use, and which would be most appropriate for the lesson at hand?
Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) Understanding the best practices for teaching specific content to your specific students.
Technological Content Technological Knowledge Pedagogial Knowledge (TCK) (TPK) Knowing how the digital tools available to you can enhance or transform the content, how it’s delivered to students, and how your students can interact with it.
Understanding how to use your digital tools as a vehicle to the learning outcomes and experiences you want.

CONCLUSIONS & QUESTIONS
"At the heart of good teaching with technology are three core components: content, pedagogy, and technology, plus the relationships among and between them." (Koehler & Mishra, 2006)
