“Growing up I experienced a lot of internal confusion about where I fit in. I remembered that when I was young, my mom said to me, ‘Rachel, you're a lot of things, but you're 100% Jewish,’ and that became the spoke of my journey to figure out who I was. But, that only really worked because my head rabbi Angela is also half Korean. And, before that point, I honestly felt pretty rejected by the Jews around me and the Jewish community. Once I realized that my identities can coexist without

detracting from one another I could fully embrace that I was a lot of things and 100% Jewish, and that’s what made me special.”
