ADULT ENRICHMENT

ADULT ENRICHMENT

Spring is a great time to enjoy our parks and soak up all the creativity that comes from the blooming flowers and chirping birds. No experience is necessary to take part in these workshops. Each workshop will begin with a short informational session, followed by time to create, and time to share at the end. No supplies are needed for the painting or poetry workshops. For the photography workshop, you only need something that takes photographs - a camera phone or even a Polaroid will do. Join us to enjoy community and art making in our parks!

Poetry in the Park

This workshop will be a celebration of National Poetry Month. Workshop attendees will meet up and talk about poetry, what it can do for us, and the many forms it can take. Attendees will set off to take a poetry walk and write a poem. They will then gather back together and those who want to share will have a chance.

Photography in the Park

This workshop will be a photo walk through Historical Park and Brewery Park at Tumwater Falls. Attendees will meet at 10 a.m. and have a chance to network. At 10:30 a.m., photographers will be let loose for 45 minutes to take photos of whatever strikes their fancy throughout the two parks. At 11:30 a.m., attendees will meet back up and share what they have captured. This workshop is open to anyone who has a camera, smartphone, or even a Polaroid camera.
