The government will have the final say on controversial plans to turn the historic Bristol Royal Infirmary building into student flats. Top dogs in the planning inspectorate will decide whether or not proposals

architecture’. The objections also labelled the proposed demolition of the Chapel as ‘unforgivable’ and said the proposed scheme is ‘characterless and badly designed’. The plans received one letter of support which said the BRI’s greying walls are ‘less attractive’ than comments suggest.
