Bid “Adieu” Of General Manager
Nongsa, Batam , 17th November 2017 – Turi Beach Resort was held a Special Moment to Share for all of the staffs and management in the resort which was held in Hang Tuah meeting room on 14th of November 2017. The event cover some agenda such as cutting cake for 38 times of 100% occupancy celebration, employee certificate of competence program , housekeeping awards, Staff recognition program and most importantly, Bid "Adieu " of Turi Beach Resort’s General Manager. 6
The event were opened by emcee and continued with certificate presentation. There was about 50 employees certified the hospitality competence program by Indonesia Association Hotels & Restaurants . The General Manager , Sumantri Endang given the certificates to each of them . The event was continued with a cutting cake for for 38 times of 100% occupancy celebration. This is the great achievement for Turi Beach Resort and staffs from January to November 2017 . 7

This is our first series of 5 Indonesian races planned. Batam has many potentials to lure more tourists to this Island and sporting events of such calibre will be yet an eye opener for Nongsa and Batam Island. According to Adeva, Ruggedian Asia Obstacle Fun Race which has been a success story in India, China and making good presence in Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam. This is not a race for professionals or the fit and tough guys only. We encourage everyone to join the race, its fun to be in the race, get dirty, get wet and when you cross the finishing line, a beautiful medal is given to you. There will be big after race party, music and loads of local food to enjoy. Note to say, we had participants as young as 10 years old and as senior as 68 years old. We emphasize on community building alongside our main objective promoting Lifestyle Tourism avenues . “The Ruggedian Asia Race at Nongsa Batam Island will lure some 2000 foreign participants and some 2000 locals”, Adeva said. There will 14 different obstacles that they will have to cross before reaching the finishing line and celebrate. The tourism revenue through the Ruggedian Asia race is an important support to all our race partners. The Ruggedian Asia will be held in Jakarta (Sentul City), Bandung, Surabaya and final stop at Bali for 2018 series. We are here to promote Indonesia Lifestyle Tourism perspectives to Indonesians and foreigners alike , Adeva said as his closing note at the press meet. 11
4th Nongsa Carnival at Turi Beach Was Remarkable ! Nongsa , Batam- Oct. 17, 2017 - Turi Beach resort was delighted to share that the 4th Nongsa Carnival was held on 13th – 14th 2017 went splendid. Nongsa Carnival is a part of Destination Nongsa Lifestyle Festival which its goal is to increase the awareness of Nongsa area as a destination in Batam Island. This 4th Nongsa Carnival was taken two daysevent
Day 1 - Friday 13th 2017 was a Workshop entitled " Successful in Organizing International Event " is aim to helps the participants to understand the important aspects on organizing event and a step-by-step guide being a successful organizing event this objective is related to Batam as Meeting, Incentive, Conference and Eventdestination.

The workshop was conducted by The Moderator , Ms. Ripka Sembiring, a professionally she is a Cluster Director Sales & Marketing Swiss-Belhotel Batam , who introduced the facilitators. The 30 minute presentations from 3 facilitators were conducted by facilitators namely Mr. Adrian Mok ( Director Hivelocity Ltd Singapore ) , Mr. Adeva K Sankuny ( CEO of Asia Pacific Operations Asia Leading Resort Inc Singapore ) , and Mr. Sumantri Endang ( General Manager Turi Beach Resort Batam- Indonesia ) . An interactive question & answer session were also conducted by moderator . As a closing workshop, Turi Beach Resort gave the participants a certificate that was referred to each of them and followed with group photos

Day 2 – Saturday 14th October 2017 was " Indonesian Night " . Guests arriving at lobby being welcomed by traditional ancient Indonesian Gamelan "Rindik " Bali . The highlights of the event was " Indonesian Night Alfresco Gala Dinner " which took at Yacht Club terrace. It was featuring a lavish of the best Nusantara Buffet inspired by the top 30 best Indonesian culinary icons. The event begin with " Sekapur Sirih " a Malay tradition welcome dance, followed by , Mr. Sumantri Endang the General Manager of the resortgiving a welcome remark at the stage. The different from last year Nongsa Carnival , this year , the 4th Nongsa Carnival livened by carnival fashion show, Keroncong rhythm performance, Indonesian ethnic and modern dance, interactive games , and crooned with the live band. Another eyes catching entertainment are a lively kids ride the sampan or traditional boat at aqua river which a transformation of Turi Beach Resort aqua swimming pool and lively EGRANG a green games of Indonesia, Egrang or stilts is a traditional plaything 2 rods made of bamboo which has pedestal bottom as well as lively folk riding old bicycle.. Even more, there were a night fly board show and a spectacular open-sea fireworks amongst others.

Attended by international tourists at least by 10 countries namely : Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia, Philippine, Netherland, German, Korea, India, Spain and from United Kingdom on the event as well as preventative from Ministry of Tourism Indonesia, medias & bloggers . The aim of Nongsa Carnival is to increase the number of the international tourist visiting Nongsa, Batam Island as a destination which appears as a unique and attractive spot"
At least 300 international tourist recorded from Friday, Saturday and Sunday said Mr. Sumantri Endang as a resort General Manager as well as the founder of the 4th Nongsa Carnival. The 4th Nongsa Carnival 2017 was fully supported by Wonderful Indonesia, Ministry of Tourism of Indonesia. 15

Batam Island, Indonesia – Sept. 30, 2017 – Turi Beach Resort has been recognized for its commitment to the environment, receivied as the Best 5 Indonesia Green Hotel Award at Indonesia Tourism Awards 2017 . Awards certificate presented by H.E Arief Yahya , Ministry of Tourism Indonesia on 27th September 2017 at Bidakara Hotel – Jakarta Award winners were evaluated and selected by Tourism ministry based on specific criterion including energy and water efficiency as well as waste management.
The award, which serves as a recognition of the hotel’s continued commitment and effort in working towards a sustainable future and responsible tourism that benefits its guests, employees and the community including waste water treatment and management , solid waste management, energy efficiency, water efficiency, noise pollution control, air quality management, and toxic and chemical substance disposal management. 16
