It’s not so much our ability to resolve small problems, but the attention to detail and the personal touch in our way of handling things that makes all the difference. The crews on our ships are made up of professionals from over 70 countries worldwide who speak 35 different languages, but above all know how to listen and find a solution to every requirement.

The promise that lies behind each smile that you’ll see on-board is the following: “I’m here for you, ready to anticipate and satisfy your every need with an unmistakably Italian style, all with courtesy, dedication, and attention to detail.” Welcome aboard!

Family Club: climb on board with the whole crew! Family is extremely important for Italians, and our winning card is that we always know how to make you feel at home. A Costa cruise is the perfect vacation for the entire family. In fact, in addition to being relaxing, it’s also fun and exciting for both parents and children alike, with solutions designed to meet everyone’s specific needs: on the Costa Diadema, for example, the family-size exterior Premium Cabin sleeps five and has two bathrooms, thus ensuring personal space and maximum comfort for everyone. But there are also triple, quadruple and adjoining cabins: simply choose the one that’s best for you! Once on-board, the Squok mascots will immediately begin helping your children find their way around and make new friends. While many

of the activities are open to children as well, if you’re looking for a chance to get away, our on-board entertainment staff will take them off your hands and engage them with various toys suited to their specific age groups, including those by Spin Master (Meccano) and Microsoft (on the Costa Diadema). In order to render them more engaging, the Clubs have been divided into age groups: Mini, for ages 3 to 6; Maxi, for ages 7 to 11; Teen Junior, for ages 12 to 14; and Teen, for ages 15 to 17. You can choose to take part in on-shore excursions designed specifically for the whole family, or else can decide to leave your children on-board to enjoy themselves at the Squok club. Consult your travel agent, visit our website, or call the Costa contact centre to find out more about the various promotions dedicated to the entire family.

A timeless experience. The Costa neoCollection offers a new cruise experience that’s far from commonplace, and is much closer to your idea of a holiday. Aboard the Costa neoRomantica, Costa neoRiviera, and Costa neoClassica, you’ll enjoy a cruise experience in which everything is more comfortable, personalised, and to be enjoyed at your own pace. We’ll seek out the smaller ports and unusual destinations to be explored more completely, with the possibility of enjoying a slower-paced lifestyle that offers greater freedom, even on-board. All starting with the ports of call: charming destinations, exclusive stopovers, and little hidden treasures, each designed to offer you a unique experience. The shore stops are longer, sometimes even lasting until the following day, thus offering the guests the opportunity to enjoy a leisurely dinner, the thrill of the sunset, and the local night

life, even with the pleasure of staying out late. While ashore, guests can try out any one of the available neoExperience options: exclusive and original programs that can be customised à la carte. The Premium excursions, which are designed for small groups of up to 25 people, offer you more time to enjoy the local culture and attractions. While on-board, you’ll have the freedom to do things at your own pace. You can choose when and where you want to dine, whether at the buffet or at the restaurant, and can even complement your culinary experiences at the table with entrées that exalt the authentic flavours of the various destinations. The menu consists of recipes chosen in collaboration with the Pollenzo University of Gastronomic Sciences, and the wines have been specifically selected by the Italian Sommelier Association.

We’re always ready to go whether for 4 or 108 days. How about you? With its 15 ships, the Costa fleet is the largest in all of Europe, and is at your complete disposal from autumn 2015 to January 2017, whether for a short Mediterranean getaway, or a four-month cruise around the world. Grab a globe, open an atlas, or visit Google maps... and let your dreams run wild. Because no matter what your destination, no one else offers so many different types of holidays at so many times throughout the year. You can even go on a fabulous Around the World voyage (we offer four possibilities of 98, 106 and 108 days aboard the Costa Luminosa), or discover the charm of travelling between continents with the Extended and Transatlantic Cruises, which retrace the routes of the great navigators of the past. The destinations of the Far East, including Japan, China and Thailand, allow visitors to discover both ancient civilizations and

ultra-modern megalopolises. While those who travel westward will find themselves immersed in crystal clear waters, dream-like beaches, and exotic rhythms and fragrances. As a cultural crossroads, the destinations of the Middle East boast the enchantment of the desert, combined with all the charm of the Arabian Nights: Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, and Oman, in fact, will tell you the most magical tales you’ve ever heard. As the cradle of European civilization, on the other hand, the Mediterranean offers an unparalleled combination of culture, nature, history, art and splendid beaches for all tastes and at any time of year. The call of Northern Europe is like the song of a mermaid, where all the wild and solitary beauty of its abounding nature is contrasted by the cultural refinement of its capital cities. Whichever destination you choose, we’re always ready to set sail, all over the world.

Later, the timeless charm and splendid beauty of Greece will find a special place in your heart: the white and blue of the houses, the green of the olive trees gently blowing in the wind, the incredibly clear azure and emerald green waters, not to mention the milky colour of the ouzo, or the amber shade of the retsina wine. Or perhaps you’ll prefer the archaeological masterpieces of Athens, the rocky coves and quiet bays of Corfu, or the picturesque windmills and enchanted landscapes of Santorini... Following the ancient route of the Venetian merchants, we first make landfall at Split, in Croatia, which was originally settled around the palace of the emperor Diocletian, and later move on towards Greece, amid the shimmering waters of Corfu and Santorini, and the grandiose beauty of the Parthenon in Athens, which symbolises man’s veneration of the gods. Finally we come to Istanbul, which, in addition to being a cosmopolitan city, a crossroads of commerce, and a port of landing, is also a unique place where the West encounters the East. A mysteriously fascinating city that wins us over with its enchanting atmosphere.

We leave Istanbul headed towards Greece, ultimately arriving at Mykonos, home of the legendary battle between Zeus and the Titans, and now a world-renowned resort. In order to complete our classic tour of the Greek seaside, we make our way to Santorini, where we take a pleasant stroll through narrow streets in search of a souvenir. On Cephalonia, guests can visit the picturesque Melissani Cave, relax on the beach of Makris Gialos, and sample a glass of typical Robola wine. And there will still be time for a walk along the ancient walls of Dubrovnik before we head back to Venice, where we’ll even enjoy an overnight stop.

From the Netherlands to Norway, where we’ll admire the city of Bergen from above, after a pleasant stroll up the picturesque “Fjellveien” mountain road. Between Hellesylt and Geiranger, the dominant motif is fresh and salt water: the waterfalls of Hellesylt, Lake Hornidal (the deepest in Europe), and the Geirangerfjord (the fjord par excellence). In Olden, visitors can discover all about these lands of ice thanks to the Norwegian Glacier Centre, and can even visit the imposing Briksdal Glacier itself. Among the breathtaking landscapes of Flam, the village at the heart of the fjords, guests will discover the old Flåmsbana railway amid switchbacks and waterfalls.

Beverage Packages. Hot? Cold? Bubbly? Fruity? The choice is yours! Just imagine biting into a freshly baked croissant for breakfast: the only thing missing would be a nice creamy cappuccino... Later, you’ll naturally want to enjoy a nice fruit juice before heading out for a jog on deck. And why not let us surprise you with one of our specialties, like an Illy espresso, while you relax by the pool in the afternoon? Perhaps you’ll even want to enjoy a fine cocktail, to render the atmosphere of the evening even more magical? Just like the sun and the sea, beverages are an integral part of your vacation. With the pacchetti bevande that Costa offers for purchase prior to departure, you’ll discover the convenience of having everything you could possibly want right at your fingertips. Want to enjoy your favourite drinks all day long, with no limits? We offer various all-inclusive formulas designed to meet any requirements: simply choose the one that’s most in-line with the spirit of your cruise. Will you be satisfied with one of our more restrictive formulas, or are the latest cocktail trends an absolute must? Do you find it hard to say no to a glass of fine wine, a premium liqueur, or an exquisite flute of champagne? Visit our website to find out more about the various packages: Brindiamo (Let’s Toast), Più Gusto (More Flavour), Intenditore (Expert) and the alcohol-free youth variant Giovani (Youth). If you’re mostly interested in beverages to accompany

your main meals, you can try the Pranzo&Cena (Lunch&Dinner) option, which leaves you free to purchase an Italian aperitif or liqueur from our à la carte menu after dinner. This formula is also available in a nonalcoholic variant for children and youths. For those travelling together on the same booking, whether as a family or as a group of friends, it can be quite advantageous to pre-purchase pacchetti bevande for the entire group, while maintaining the individual price based on the age or tastes of the participants. Therefore, whether you want to make a toast, quench your thirst, or try something new, we recommend purchasing a beverage package prior to departure! The all-inclusive Brindiamo (Let’s Toast), Più Gusto (More Flavour) and Intenditore (Expert) packages must be purchased by all the Guests with the same booking number, or by all Guests who wish to dine together. The service charge of 15% is indicated in the price on the website. Non-alcoholic beverages are free for children under 3 whose parents have purchased one of the allinclusive pacchetti bevande. These packages can be purchased directly on-board, or else prior to departure by contacting your Travel Agent, by calling the number +39 010-4206099, or by visiting the website www.costacruise.com

Guests with special needs Costa Crociere wishes to satisfy the needs of all those who want to experience a cruise but have special needs, mobility problems, visual impairments or other disabilities. The international regulations require the Company to be aware of any “needs for personal assistance in the case of emergency” that its Guests may have (wheelchairs, etc.) in order to make the necessary arrangements. This information must be communicated to the Travel Agency or directly to Costa Crociere at the time of booking, and again after boarding. We recommend that Guests with special needs who require special medical assistance and/or equipment travel with a companion and inform the Travel Agent or Costa Crociere directly of the characteristics of the any equipment necessary (e.g. a wheelchair) at the time of booking. We will be happy to host the guest’s companion free of charge for the amount pertaining to the “cruise only” cost; the companion will be required to travel in the same cabin as the Guest with special needs. In order for this charge to be waived, Costa Crociere must be advised of the Guest’s special needs upon receiving the booking confirmation. Costa Crociere must receive the necessary documentation within 3 business days of the booking confirmation. Guests with special needs travelling with companions will be assigned cabins that have been specifically equipped for the disabled. The waiver of the companion’s travel costs will be applied as long as cabins for the disabled are available, and may not be combined with the Family Special promotion. In the case of double cabins occupied by one adult and one minor child paying 50% of the adult fare (the One&Half rate), the waiver will be applied to the child’s portion. We would also like to remind you that disembarking may be problematic in some ports for Guests with motor problems, especially offshore. Our ships have several cabins equipped for disabled guests, which are marked with a letter H on the ship floor plans. For further information please visit www.costacruise.com

Tourist visas - Guests are responsible for requesting the specific visas required for the Nations to be visited during the selected cruise from the relative Embassies/Consulates prior to leaving Italy. Upon booking and prior to the date of departure, the Guests must also check whether any other visas are required and if any changes have been made to the notes published in the itineraries contained on this website. Costa Crociere shall bear no responsibility for any Guest’s failure to obtain the necessary visas prior to departure. Special requirements for the United States - For trips involving stays or stopovers in the United States, all passengers must hold a machine readable passport. Children must also have their own machine readable passports: simple registration on their parents’ passport will not be accepted. In accordance with the provisions of the “US Department of Homeland Security”, and in compliance with the “Visa Waiver Program”, Costa Crociere advises the following: 1) Visitors who have a machine-readable passport that was issued or renewed prior to 26 October 2005 may enter the United States without a visa. 2) Visitors who have a machine-readable passport that was issued or renewed between 26 October 2005 and 25 October 2006 and has a digital photograph printed directly on the passport may enter the United States without a visa. 3) Machine-readable passports issued or renewed on or after 26 October 2006 must have a digital photograph and an integrated chip containing biometric data. Visitors whose passports do not meet these requirements will be required to obtain a visa to travel to the United States. Furthermore, as of 12 January 2009, electronic travel authorisation is required for citizens of the countries covered by the Visa Waiver Program, including Italy. At least 72 hours prior to departure, visitors travelling to the United States under the Visa Waiver Program must obtain travel authorisation through the ESTA website (Electronic System for Travel Authorization). The authorisation number will be requested upon departure for the United States. All Guests in possession of a valid passport issued prior to the introduction of machine-readable passports or passports that do no meet the above requirements, including minors, must request a non-immigrant entry visa for the United States.

Special requirements for Egypt - For all cruises involving stops in Egypt, for which an identity card is also valid as a travel document, it should be noted that the Egyptian Authorities will not grant entry to passengers holding electronic identity cards with extension certificates (a paper slip extending the document’s validity beyond 5 years), or paper identity cards bearing a renewal stamp. Special requirements for the Indian Ocean - For all cruises to and from the Indian Ocean, the guest’s passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the end of the cruise. Stops in Madagascar require a transit visa, for which Costa Crociere will take care of the necessary formalities and will charge the relative fees to the passengers’ cruise accounts. Be sure to check for any changes at the time of booking. HEALTHCARE REQUIREMENTS: No vaccinations are required. Malaria prophylaxis is recommended for stopovers in Madagascar only. Special requirements for Asia - Stops in Vietnam and Indonesia require a transit visa, for which Costa Crociere will take care of the necessary formalities and will charge the relative fees to the passengers’ cruise accounts. For cruises stopping only in Sanya (China), Guests who participate in Costa sponsored shore excursions are not required to have a separate visa. Guests who wish to travel independently must have a personal visa, which must be requested from the on-board staff 24 hours prior to disembarking and will be charged to the guest’s cruise account. For Cruises with embarkation and disembarkation in China (Shanghai and Tianjin), a double or multiple entry tourist visa is required, which must be requested from the Chinese Consulate prior to departure. For cruises with stopovers in India, a multiple entry tourist Visa is required (the possibility of using a single or double entry visa must be verified prior to departure), which must be requested from the Embassy/ Consulate before leaving Italy. Any other visa requirements must be checked prior to departure. Special requirements for Dubai and the United Arab Emirates - For all cruises to and from Dubai and the United Arab Emirates, guests must have a passport valid for at least 6 months after the date of departure. Guests will be promptly notified in the event of any changes. Special requirements for St. Petersburg - For St. Petersburg, guests participating in Costa excursions will be provided with a group visa. For those who wish to go ashore unaccompanied, a personal visa must be requested from the Russian Consulate. Special requirements for Israel - For cruises stopping in Israel, guests must have a passport valid for at least 6 months after the end of the cruise. Special requirements for Around the World cruises - Machine-readable passport valid for at least 6 months after the end of the cruise, following the procedures for entry into the United States. Tourist visas for Australia and India must be be obtained prior to departure. Guests are required to verify any other visa requirements and possible changes to these requirements upon booking.

Foreign travel documents for children under 18 For all cruises that require a passport as a foreign travel document, children under 18 must also have their own passports. As of 26 June 2012, the child’s registration on their parent’s passport is no longer considered valid. For all cruises that require identity cards valid for foreign travel - Children under 18 may travel with their own passports or identity cards. If the child under 14 is not travelling with one of their parents and is accompanied by someone other than their parents who has legal guardianship and/or is indicated on the child’s travel document, it is recommended to check with the state or local police in order to obtain all the information necessary for the child’s travel abroad. For children under 15, it is also recommended to check with the competent Authorities to verify the possibility of using a birth certificate bearing a photograph that has been authenticated for foreign travel by the state or local police. In fact, this document’s acceptance by the local authorities will depend upon the regulations in force in the countries visited by the ship throughout the selected itinerary (for example, this certificate is not valid in Egypt, Morocco, Gibraltar, and Iceland). Notice concerning flights between the European Union and the United States Under U.S. Law and in accordance with an International Agreement between the European Union and the United States, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will receive certain travel and reservation information (known as PNR - Passenger Name Record) concerning passengers flying between the European Union and the United States. The DHS has undertaken to use this information primarily for the purposes of preventing and combating terrorism and other serious transnational crimes. This and other information may also be used to check whether passengers are present on the lists of people raising aviation security concerns. The PNR data will be kept for at least three years and six months and may be shared with other Authorities. More information regarding these arrangements, including the measures taken to safeguard your personal data, can be obtained from your airline or travel agent, or at the website www.costacruise.com. Based on a mandatory procedure implemented on 6 September 2010, the U.S. authorities require the following data to be provided when booking a cruise involving flights to the United States (or return-only) in order to have the airline tickets booked/issued: name and surname, gender, date of birth, nationality, passport number, date and place of issue, and expiry. Failure to provide this information could result in serious travel complications in terms of delayed boarding procedures and increased costs for rate adjustments (for the issuance of a new ticket in the case of missed boarding), as well as the U.S. Authorities’ refusal to allow the passenger to board. We therefore recommend that you communicate this information to your Travel Agent when booking your cruise. Costa Crociere shall bear no responsibility for the Guests’ failure to comply with the requirements listed above, or for any consequent objections raised by the Guests themselves. More information about the TSA Secure Flight Program can be found at the website www.tsa.gov INFORMATION AND SERVICES • 105

c On the cruise SECURITY CHECKS For the security of all Guests, the on-board Security staff will check all people and baggage during the embarkation and disembarkation procedures at all ports of call. These checks are carried out using X-ray machines and metal detectors. Please cooperate with our personnel in order to render this procedure as smooth and efficient as possible. The baggage to be delivered to the cabins is checked upon embarkation. It should be noted that it is prohibited to bring the items listed in the “Baggage” section on-board the ship. Guests should therefore avoid purchasing antique weapons, knives, daggers, swords or similar objects during onshore excursions. If any of these items are found in your possession, you will be asked to leave them behind onshore by the ship’s Security staff. It should also be noted that, in keeping with the health and safety standards adopted by Costa Crociere for its Guests, it is forbidden to bring any type of food or liquid on-board, whether contained in your hand baggage or cabin baggage. The only exceptions include toiletries (e.g. shampoo, bath foam, creams, etc.), medicines, products or food items made specifically for babies, and products or food items for certified special diets. This ban also includes any food or drinks purchased during stopovers at ports of call. Any typical local products purchased on stopovers will be held in store on-board the ship and returned to the Guests at the end of the cruise.

ON-BOARD SAFETY Once you have boarded the ship, we kindly ask that you familiarise yourself with the ship’s safety procedures by reading the information on the back of your cabin door. We also recommend that you take a few minutes to watch the safety video that will be on the screen when you first enter your cabin, and that you take a look at the on-board daily program, titled “programma del giorno”, to find out when the emergency drill will be held. Prior to departure, you will be required to take part in a training session, which primarily serves to familiarise you with the route to be followed in order to reach your muster station. This procedure is quite simple, as our staff will be positioned in the corridors to help you find it, and the exact route is indicated on a sign on the back of your cabin door. You should wear suitable clothes for the drill (bearing in mind that it finishes outdoors), and remember that you should wear your life jacket when taking part. Once you reach your muster station, you will be shown the procedures to be followed in the event of an emergency, in order to familiarise yourself with them. Costa Crociere’s greatest priority has always been the safety of its Guests and crew.

106 • INFORMATION AND SERVICES

All crew members have a BST (Basic Safety Training) certificate issued by a recognised international training centre, and are also required to take part in an intense training program in order to familiarise themselves with the ship, with further training also being provided for the entire duration of their time on-board. Depending on their various roles, the staff also receive other types of special training. For example, the fire fighting team is regularly sent to onshore training centres in order to take part in exercises involving simulated fires, which they have to handle using the techniques and methods they have been taught by qualified instructors belonging to professional Italian and foreign fire fighting teams, who regularly assist us with these types of training activities.

SPECIAL DIETARY REQUIREMENTS Such requirements can be accommodated if requested and arranged at the time of booking. Guests can freely indicate their special dietary needs, including hypoglycemic diets for diabetics, gluten-free diets, or diets for other types of allergies/ intolerances. Special dietary needs can only be safely managed at the Main Restaurant. In order to ensure that the service operates efficiently, Guests are kindly asked to reconfirm their requirements with the Customer Service Office upon boarding. If the Guests are bringing their required dietary items with them from home, the on-board Maître D’ must be immediately notified upon boarding, so that the necessary meal preparation arrangements can be made. At bars and cafés a 15% service charge will be added to each bill.

ON-BOARD PAYMENTS The Costa Card Your personal Costa Card will be provided directly in your cabin, and can be used to make purchases at the on-board shops, as well as to pay for any extra services requested on-board. Each purchase will be automatically added to your cabin account, thus eliminating the need to carry cash with you for your daily purchases. Guests who do not register their credit cards to cover their Costa Card expenses within 48 hours of embarkation will be asked to provide a deposit. The initial minimum deposit will be 150 EUR or USD per person (depending on the currency used on-board), to be paid in cash. The initial amount will have to be supplemented with additional payments during the cruise whenever the extra charges incurred on-board have exceeded the advance payments made up until that point. The Costa Card will be temporarily suspended within the first 48 hours following embarkation if the Guest should fail to register their credit card (or pay the deposit), or

if they have made purchases in excess of 200 EUR/USD without having registered their credit card or paid the deposit in cash. The card will also be temporarily suspended during the cruise whenever the deposits already paid no longer cover the total amount of the charges incurred. Credit card payments The fastest, easiest and most convenient way to make the most of your holiday is to register your credit card on-board. This can be done within 48 hours of embarkation using the automatic devices on-board the ship or at the Customer Service Office. Your credit card’s availability will be verified every day by requesting authorisation via the credit card circuits. Your final bill will be delivered to your cabin at the end of the cruise and, unless otherwise agreed, the charges will be automatically debited from your credit card. The following credit cards are accepted on-board: American Express, VISA and MasterCard. Debit cards, prepaid cards, and rechargeable cards, including VISA Electron, Postpay, Bancomat, Postamat, and Cirrus Maestro cards, will not be accepted. It is recommended to contact your bank and verify your card’s type and usage methods prior to departure. Cash payment Your final bill will be delivered to your cabin at the end of the cruise: in the case of cash payments, the bill can be paid directly, or else a cash reimbursement can be obtained (if there is residual credit) from the dedicated office indicated in the “programma del giorno” program. Reimbursements will be processed in cash up to the amounts permitted by the current Italian regulations, or else via wire transfer for amounts exceeding these limits. Foreign currencies Its should be noted that the Euro is the legal currency aboard our ships, with the exception of Caribbean cruises departing from ports in the United States, South American cruises, spring transatlantic cruises departing from South America, and cruises departing from ports in Asia and the Far East, in which case the U.S. Dollar is the legal currency aboard. Cash can be exchanged on-board the ship at the Currency Exchange Desk, at the Customer Service Office. This desk is open at the times indicated in the “programma del giorno” program. Since the Currency Exchange desk does not provide cash advances via credit card, it is recommended to bring sufficient local currency for the stops at the ports of call. Service charges A daily service charge will be applied to the guest’s account for all the hotel services provided on-board. Payment will be requested at the end of the cruise. The predetermined daily amount depends on the date and the destination of the cruise, as follows:

Electronic cigarettes may only be used in the cabins and in the “Cigar Lounge” areas. In outdoor public areas, smoking is only permitted in specially designated areas where ashtrays are present. It should also be noted that smoking is not permitted inside the cabins, but only outside on the private balconies. In order to avoid the risk of fire, cigarettes must be extinguished and left in the ashtrays provided, and must never be thrown overboard while still lit. It should also be noted that there are no indoor public smoking areas on-board the following ships: Costa Mediterranea, Costa neoClassica, Costa Atlantica and Costa Victoria. General Conditions Since the general contractual conditions are updated from time to time based on any changes to the relevant regulations, Guests are advised to refer to the applicable contractual conditions published on the website www.costacruise.com or with their Travel Agent at the time of booking. 1.APPLICABLE REGULATIONS 1.1 In addition to these general conditions, this holiday package sales contract, which includes a cruise, is also governed by any additional conditions contained in the Organiser’s pamphlets, brochures, and/or catalogues, as well as any other documentation provided by the Organiser to the Passenger. 1.2 This contract will also be regulated by Italian law, in full compliance with the applicable binding regulations concerning the protection of consumer rights (Directive 90/314/EEC and Italian Legislative Decree no. 206 of 6 September 2005), the national regulations governing the tourism industry and market (Italian Legislative Decree no. 79 of 23 May 2011, henceforth “The Tourism Code”), as well as the national and international regulations regarding the individual services comprising the holiday package, where applicable. 1.3 The individual clauses contained within these general conditions are to be considered independent of one another. For this reason, the total or partial invalidity of an individual clause or section shall not compromise the validity of any other clause or section contained within these general contractual conditions. 2. CONCLUSION OF THE CONTRACT 2.1 The booking request must be prepared using the appropriate form (also available in electronic format), which must be completed in all of its parts and signed by the Passenger. 2.2 For all legal purposes, the holiday packages sold via the Internet (“on-line”) are to be understood as sold in Italy, with the relative contracts being concluded in Italy. 2.3 Acceptance of the booking is subject to availability, and no Contract is formed until the booking confirmation has been issued by the Organiser (even via the Internet) and the deposit referred to in clause 3.1 below has been paid by the Passenger. 2.4 The promotional offers, or offers that otherwise provide for particularly favourable conditions with respect to those published in the catalogues, are subject to time and availability limits based on the criteria established by the Company on a case to case basis and at its own discretion. 2.5 Travel Agencies holding the required licence are acting as brokers pursuant to article 33 paragraph 1b) of the Tourism Code, and may only issue a copy of the contract to the Passenger if they have already received the Organiser’s booking confirmation pursuant to section 2.3 above. 2.6 Any Passenger making a single booking on behalf of multiple subjects listed in the booking form itself must have the authority to act on their behalf, and must nevertheless guarantee full compliance with all the contractual obligations, even on behalf of the other subjects listed in the booking. 2.7 Bookings made by minors will not be accepted. Without prejudice to art. 2.6 above, bookings for minor Passengers must be made by a legal guardian or another adult subject with the necessary authority, and shall only be accepted if the minor will be travelling with at least one of his/her parents or another adult

person responsible for their well-being. 2.8 As the ships are not equipped to offer assistance for pregnancy and childbirth, bookings cannot be accepted from passengers who are expected to enter their 24th week of pregnancy at any time during the cruise. All pregnant women must produce a medical certificate attesting to their own good health, the good health of their child, their expected delivery date, and their fitness to participate in the cruise. Costa Crociere shall bear no responsibility whatsoever for any events that may occur during or after the trip arising from or relating to the Passenger’s pregnancy. 2.9 Children under 6 months of age at the time of boarding will not be permitted on-board. This age limit is increased to 12 months for transatlantic cruises and those lasting 15 days or more. 2.10 The vessels have a limited number of cabins equipped to accommodate disabled passengers, and not all areas and equipment on-board the ship are accessible to and/or specifically equipped to accommodate disabled passengers. All bookings for disabled passengers are therefore subject to these availability restrictions and, if necessary, may require the presence of an attendant/ companion capable of assisting the disabled Passenger, as required by European Regulation no. 1177/2010. 2.11 Upon concluding the contract the Passenger is required to notify the Organiser of any physical or mental conditions they may have that may require special forms of care or assistance. The Company may not accept bookings for any Passengers with physical or mental conditions that could render their participation in the cruise impossible or dangerous for themselves or for others, or that require care or assistance methods that it are impossible to guarantee on-board the ship. 2.12 Any details regarding the cruise that are not contained in the contractual documents or brochures, on the Costa Crociere website, or any other means of communication, shall be promptly provided by the Organiser to the Passenger prior to the start of the holiday, in full compliance with the Tourism Code. 2.13 The Organiser reserves the right to offer alternative or supplemental terms to these general conditions for special types of contracts (e.g. groups or incentives) and promotional offers pursuant to art. 2.4 above, for which the terms and conditions will be specifically indicated on a case to case basis. 2.14 Prior to the conclusion of the contract, the Passenger is responsible for obtaining extensive and detailed information regarding the health and security situations at the trip’s various destinations; the conclusion of the contract implies an awareness of these conditions and the acceptance of any relative risk factors. 3. PAYMENTS 3.1 A deposit of no less than 25% of the price must be paid upon the conclusion of the contract, while the balance must be paid at least 30 days prior to departure. 3.1.1 Without prejudice to the payment terms for the deposit and balance established under section 3.1, the Passenger can elect to pay in monthly instalments for contracts stipulated by telephone (via the number +39 0104206099) or via the Costa Crociere website more than 60 days prior to departure. The Passenger can also choose between a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 5 instalments, based on the booking date. For payments made in instalments, the balance of each instalment must be made exclusively by credit card, and the relative amounts will be automatically charged on the established date each month. 3.1.2 For contracts stipulated less than 30 days prior to departure, the total Contract Price must be paid in a single transaction upon the stipulation of the contract itself. 3.2 Any failure to make the payments described above by the established deadlines shall constitute a breach of Contract pursuant to the express termination clause, and shall entitle the Organiser to terminate the Contract pursuant to art. 1456 of the Italian Civil Code, as well as to seek compensation for any damages incurred. 3.3 The cruise ticket, which grants the bearer the right to board the ship, will be delivered to the Passenger after the contract price has been paid in full and will include the following information: • the Passenger’s date and place of birth • the number, date and place of issue of the Passenger’s Passport or Identity Document, based on the requirements established by the current regulations. 3.4 Any payments made to the Travel Agency will only be considered complete

once the amounts have been effectively received by the Organiser. 3.5 For payments regarding direct purchases (made by telephone via the number +39 0104206099 or via the Costa Crociere website at www.costacruise.com), the Passenger can choose one of the two following payment methods: i) wire transfer, excluding the possibility of payment in instalments pursuant to art. 3.1.1; ii) credit card, in accordance with the limits and conditions indicated below. If the Passenger should opt for payment by credit card, the balance and any penalties applicable in the event of termination pursuant to article 6.4 will also be automatically charged to the card within the deadlines indicated in the booking. The Passenger may also request to have the automatic charge cancelled at the time of booking, or else subsequently by calling the number +39 0104206099. 3.6 Payment by wire transfer is only permitted for contracts stipulated at least 8 days prior to departure. Contracts stipulated later (up to 2 days prior to departure) and contracts with payments in instalments pursuant to art. 3.1.1 may only be paid by credit card. 3.7 For contracts concluded via the Costa Crociere website www.costacruise.com, the payment of the deposit or the entire amount (in the case of contracts concluded less than 30 days prior to departure) must be made exclusively by credit card. 3.8 Whatever the case, all the payments must be made by the Passenger in accordance with the specific indications provided by the Organiser based on the provisions contained under article 3 of these conditions. 3.9 All the payment terms are to be considered mandatory. For this reason, any shortcomings concerning the payment of the amounts indicated above and/or the receipt of the amounts by the Organiser within the aforementioned deadlines shall constitute a breach of Contract pursuant to the express termination clause, and shall entitle the Organiser to terminate the Contract pursuant to art. 1456 of the Italian Civil Code, as well as to seek compensation for any damages incurred. 4. PRICES 4.1 The prices include everything that is expressly stated on the website www.costacruise.com and/or in the booking and contractual forms signed by the passenger. The prices do not include the service charge described in the “Useful Information” section of the catalogue and the website. This amount is specifically indicated in the notes listed under the price for the cruise, both on the website and in the catalogue. The service charge will be debited at the end of the cruise based on the number of days actually spent on-board. The passenger may also be required to pay the following amounts: (I) € 50 in the case of requests for substitutions as foreseen under article 7 below; (II) € 50 in the case of withdrawal at least 60 days prior to departure, as foreseen under article 6.4 below; (III) € 50 in the case of booking modifications requested at least 60 days prior to departure concerning the departure date and itinerary. 4.2 For each cruise, a limited number of cabins will be available at the price indicated in the catalogue. 4.3 The prices may change up to 20 days prior to the date of departure as a result of increases to the following items after the program’s date of publication: (I) the cost of air transport, (II) the cost of marine fuel, (III) duties and taxes on the services included in the holiday package, including boarding, disembarkation, harbour mooring and airport landing taxes. The price of the package will vary as follows: - in the case of situation (I) concerning air transport, the change will be based on the difference between the transport costs calculated according to the parameters indicated in the footnotes to these general conditions and the actual costs on the date of departure; - in the case of situation (II), no price increase will be applied if the fuel costs have increased by less than 10%. For increases in fuel costs equal to 10%, the price of the minimum cruise category published in the catalogue (excluding any flights, transfers, port charges, service charges and enrolment fees) will increase by 3%. This increase will be applied in equal measure to all the passengers and to all the departure dates for the cruise in question. The on-line catalogue can be found on the home page of the website www.costacruise.com; - in the case of situation (III), the entire amount of the increase to the duties and

taxes will be applied. With regard to the Emission Trading Scheme (ETS – “carbon tax”) foreseen by Italian Legislative Decree 257/2010, if the conditions should arise, the tax charged to each Passenger by the carrier for each charter flight will correspond to the product of the tonnes of Jet Aviation Fuel burned for each seat/rotation [A], multiplied by the “average market value” of the previous month’s pollution, as reported by the carrier, n-1 [B], multiplied by the coefficient 3.15 [C]. Nevertheless, if a Passenger becomes the sole occupant of a cabin due to the withdrawal or cancellation of the other occupants, the Passenger in question will be required to pay a single cabin supplement. 5. MODIFICATIONS TO THE VOYAGE 5.1 If the Organiser is forced to make any significant changes to one or more aspects of the contract prior to the departure date, pursuant to article 40 of the Tourism Code, the Organiser shall immediately notify the Passenger in writing, indicating the type of modification in question and the resulting price variation. 5.2 If the Passenger should refuse to accept the modification proposed pursuant to section 5.1, the Passenger shall be entitled to withdraw from the contract without paying any penalties, and shall also be entitled to the provisions foreseen under section 6.1. 5.3 If the Passenger does not notify the Organiser of his/her decision (even via the Travel Agency where appropriate) within two business days of receiving notice of the modification, the modification itself will be deemed to have been accepted. 5.4 If an essential part of the services foreseen by the contract cannot be provided after departure, the Organiser shall arrange for adequate alternative solutions for the remainder of the scheduled voyage, in accordance with the maritime technical and safety requirements and at no additional charge of any kind to the Passenger, or else shall reimburse the Passenger for the resulting difference between the services originally foreseen and those actually provided, in addition to providing compensation for damages. 5.5 If no alternative solution is possible or the solution proposed by the Organiser is turned down by the Passenger for acceptable, justified and proven reasons, the Organiser shall provide an equivalent means of transport for the return to the point of departure, or to any other destination that may be agreed upon, and shall reimburse the Passenger for the resulting difference between the services originally foreseen and those actually provided up until their early return. 5.6 Pursuant to art. 41 of the Tourism Code, the organiser may review and adjust the fixed sale price of the holiday package. 5.7 In the event of a price increase, this may not exceed ten percent of the original amount of the price. 5.8 If this price increase should exceed the percentage indicated in section 5.7, the Passenger shall have the right to withdraw from the contract and receive reimbursement for any amounts already paid to the other party. 5.9 Whatever the case, the price may not be increased within twenty days of the scheduled departure.

6. CANCELLATION BY THE PASSENGER 6.1 Pursuant to article 42 of the Tourism Code, the passenger may withdraw from the agreement without incurring any penalty under the circumstances foreseen under article 5, or if the holiday package is cancelled prior to departure for any reason not attributable to the Passenger. In such cases, if the passenger should decide to withdraw from the agreement, he or she shall have the right to select an alternative holiday package of equal or greater value without incurring any surcharges, to select a holiday package of lesser value with the price difference being reimbursed, or else to have the monetary amounts already paid entirely refunded within seven business days of the withdrawal or cancellation. 6.2 In the cases foreseen under the previous section, the passenger shall have the right to be reimbursed for all other damages suffered as a result of the contract’s cancellation. 6.3 Section 6.2 shall not apply if the cancellation of the holiday package is due to the failure to reach the minimum number of participants required and the Passenger was informed in writing at least twenty days prior to the scheduled departure date, or is otherwise due to a force majeure event, and, in any event, with overbooking being expressly excluded. 6.4 Customers who withdraw from their agreements for reasons other than those specified in the previous section will be charged the sums indicated in the following table as a percentage of the price for the relative package: DAYS AROUND THE BEFORE DEPARTURE WORLD CRUISES AND SINGLE SEGMENTS

6.5 In the event of a cancellation covered by an insurance policy, the Organiser must be notified at the same time as the insurer. Any difference between the sums owed by the passenger according to the terms of article 6.4 above and the sums paid by the insurance company will be payable by the Passenger. 6.6 In the event of refusal to make use of the air transport purchased together with the cruise, the penalties and other clauses foreseen by the general contractual conditions of the air carrier and/or air transport contract will be applied. 6.7 In accordance with article 32 of the Tourism Code, the right of withdrawal is expressly excluded for bookings made by calling the number +39 0104206099 or via the website www.costacruise.com 7. SUBSTITUTIONS 7.1 A Passenger who is unable to participate in his/her cruise may be substituted by another person, provided that: a) the Passenger provides the Organiser with written notice of the substitution and the substitute’s details within 4 business days of the departure date; b) there are no reasons relating to passports, visas, health certificates, hotel accommodations, transport services, or any other issues that could impede the substitute from participating in the cruise according to the same terms as the original Passenger; c) the substitute pays the Organiser the amount indicated under article 7.2 below and, in the case of holiday packages including flights, any substitution charges applied by the airline. 7.2 The Passenger will also be required to pay a booking amendment fee of € 50 per person. The original and substitute passengers shall also be jointly

responsible for paying the balance of the Contract Price, as well as the amounts referred to under letter c) of article 7.1 above. 7.3 The transportation ticket may only be transferred if the substitution is made in the contract, as indicated in the previous sections. 7.4 The right to substitution described in the previous sections remains subject to the exclusions and limitations foreseen by the specific regulations (particularly those regarding security) applicable to the individual services comprising the package. 7.5 Substitutions made for reasons other than the Passenger’s objective inability to make use of the holiday package, or communicated to the Organiser beyond the deadline specified in article 7.1 above, shall be considered equivalent to a cancellation by the original Passenger and a new booking by the intended substitute, thus requiring the original Passenger to pay the amounts indicated under article 6.4, and the intended substitute to pay the entire purchase price. 8. CANCELLATION BY THE ORGANISER 8.1 If the Organiser should notify the Passenger of the contractual package’s cancellation for any reason whatsoever prior to departure (unless the cancellation is due to the fault of the Passenger), the Organiser shall offer the Passenger a replacement holiday package, if possible. The Passenger shall have the right to either accept this replacement, or to receive a refund in accordance with the methods described below. The replacement holiday package offered by the Organiser must be of a value equal to or greater than that which has been cancelled. If the Organiser is unable to offer a replacement holiday of equal or greater value, the Passenger shall be entitled to receive a refund for the difference. 8.2 Except in situations beyond the Organiser’s control (including force majeure) or upon failure to reach the minimum number of participants for the Holiday, and in the event that the Passenger refuses the replacement holiday package offered by the Organiser, if the Organiser should cancel the holiday package pursuant to article 33, letter e) of Italian Legislative Decree 206/2005, the Passenger shall be reimbursed double the amount actually paid and effectively received by the Organiser. The amount to be reimbursed shall never exceed twice the amounts owed by the Passenger on the date in question, in accordance with the provisions of article 6.4. Therefore, in the event that the holiday package should be cancelled 45/60 days prior to the departure date, the Organiser shall only be required to reimburse the Passenger for the total amount paid and effectively received by the Organiser. 8.3 In the event of the aforementioned situations beyond the Organiser’s control (including force majeure) or failure to reach the minimum number of participants for the Holiday (if communicated by the Organiser at least 20 days prior to the departure date), and in the event that the Passenger refuses the replacement holiday package offered by the Organiser, the Passenger shall only have the right to receive reimbursement for the amounts effectively paid within 7 business days of the cancellation itself. 9. PASSENGER OBLIGATIONS 9.1 Based on his/her nationality, each Passenger must have an individual passport and/or other travel document valid for all the countries included on the itinerary, as well as any tourist and transit visas and health certificates that may be required. Unless otherwise specified, the information contained within the catalogues refers to passengers who are citizens of the country in which the catalogue is published. 9.2 The passenger must also conduct him or herself in such a way so as not to interfere with the safety or disturb the peace and enjoyment of the cruise by the other Passengers, and must act in accordance with the rules of normal prudence and diligence, follow all the instructions issued by the Organiser, and comply with all the administrative and legislative regulations relating to the voyage. 9.3 Passengers may not bring goods, live animals, weapons, munitions, explosives or flammable, toxic or hazardous substances on-board the ship without the written consent of the Organiser. The Passenger is also forbidden to bring and/ or use the following types of items (for exemplary and non exhaustive purposes) on-board the ship or in their cabins: irons, space heaters, boilers, electric heaters, hair dryers, stoves, etc. 9.4 The passenger shall be held responsible for any damages that may be suffered

by the Organiser as a result of his/her failure to comply with the obligations set out above. More specifically, the Passenger shall be held responsible for any damages caused to the ship or its furnishings and fittings, damage caused to other passengers and third parties, and all sanctions, fines and costs to which the Organiser is subjected by the port, customs or health authorities, or by any other authorities in any of the countries on the cruise itinerary, due to the Passenger’s conduct. 9.5 The passenger must provide the Organiser with all the documents, information and other materials in his or her possession that may be necessary to act on his/her behalf in relation to any third parties responsible for damages suffered by the passenger, and shall be held responsible by the Organiser in the event that this right to act on his/her behalf should be compromised. 9.6. The passenger must provide the Organiser with all the information necessary to enable the latter to comply with its security obligations, with particular reference to the terms of EC directive 98/41 and the Italian Ministerial Decree of 13 October 1999. The data collection procedures (including images) and relative processing will be carried out in accordance with the rules established by EC Directive 95/46 and Italian Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30 June 2003. 9.7 Passengers are required to take part in all the emergency drills and activities (passenger instructions) that the Organiser holds on-board the ship. Pursuant to art. 186 of the Italian Navigation Code and the provisions of art. 10.2 below, in the event that a passenger should fail to comply with this requirement, the Captain may take any measures deemed necessary, including the disembarkation of the passenger. 10. POWERS OF THE CAPTAIN 10.1 The Captain of the ship is fully entitled to proceed without a pilot, to tow and assist other ships under any circumstances, to deviate from the plotted course, to put into any port (regardless of whether this is on the ship’s itinerary), and to transfer the Passenger and his or her baggage to another ship in order to continuing the voyage. 10.2 The Passenger is subject to the disciplinary powers of the Captain of the ship in relation to all matters concerning the safety of the vessel and its navigation. More specifically, this means that the Passenger must comply with all the instructions and orders they receive on-board in this regard, including those concerning the instructions and emergency drills mentioned in article 9.7. If the Captain deems a passenger to be unable to undertake or continue on the voyage for any reason, or believes that they may pose a risk to the health and safety of the other passengers and crew, or to the safety of the vessel itself, or finds that his/her conduct compromises the other Passengers’ ability to enjoy the cruise, the Captain shall have the right, based on the circumstances, to a) prevent the Passenger concerned from coming aboard the vessel, b) have the Passenger disembark at an intermediate port, c) prevent the Passenger from disembarking at an intermediate port, d) deny the Passenger access to specific areas of the ship or prohibit him/her from taking part in specific activities onboard. Similar measures may also be independently adopted by airlines or other service providers, within the limits of their legal and/or contractual rights, and the Organiser shall bear no responsibility for any such measures that may be adopted. 10.3 The Organiser and the Captain of the ship will have the right to carry out any order or directive issued by the Governments or Authorities of any State, or by parties acting or declaring that they are acting on behalf of and with the consent of such Governments or Authorities or any other parties with the right to issue such orders or directives, on the basis of the conditions of the ship’s insurance cover against risk of war. No actions or omissions on the part of the Organiser or Captain in relation to or as a consequence of such orders or directives will be regarded as non-compliance with the contract. The disembarkation of the passengers and their baggage in accordance with such orders or directives releases the Organiser from any responsibility for the continuation of the voyage or the repatriation of the passengers. 11. SEIZURE AND RETENTION The Organiser has the right to seize and retain the baggage and other property of the passenger, and to use these items as collateral for the payment of any

additional sums owed by the passenger for the goods and services purchased on-board.

of excursions, based on the specific circumstances, such as the use of vehicles driven by the Passengers themselves.

12. ACCOMMODATION ON-BOARD THE VESSEL OR IN HOTELS 12.1 The Organiser has the right to assign the passenger to a cabin different from that agreed upon, provided that it belongs to the same category. 12.2 When included in the package, and where no official hotel classification exists, the hotel accommodation will be assigned based on criteria reasonably equivalent to the classification system in use in Italy.

16. AIR TRANSPORT 16.1 When a flight ticket or other travel document is issued by an airline in the name of the Passenger and this is accepted by this latter, an air transport contract is established between the passenger and the issuing airline. 16.2 With regard to air transport of any kind, Costa Crociere does not assume any role or capacity as a carrier, as this role is assumed exclusively by the airline indicated (and/or those delegated to act on its behalf) along with all the relative risks and responsibilities, which therefore cannot be attributed in any way to Costa Crociere, even indirectly or via intermediaries. The rights of the Passenger based on the air transport contract and the regulations applicable to the same (Montreal Convention of 28 May 1999, EC regulation no. 889/2002, and the national regulations in force), including the right to compensation for damages in the event of death or personal injury, are therefore limited to the relationship between the passenger and the airline. The airline is exclusively responsible for the obligations pursuant to EC regulation no. 785/2004. 16.3 If the legally valid flight ticket is not attached to the documentation supplied to the Passenger by Costa Crociere, it must be requested by the Passenger directly from the airline. The airline guarantees the existence of the ticket in question, its custody for merely logistical reasons, its conformity with the applicable regulations, and its immediate and unconditional availability to the Passenger, at its own expense and upon its own responsibility, with the understanding that the airline has also issued identical guarantees to Costa Crociere. 16.4 The obligations required by EC regulation no. 261/2004 apply exclusively to the operating airline, as defined in the Regulation in question, and no responsibility in this regard shall be assumed by Costa Crociere in its capacity as Organiser or for any other reason. Any claims that the Passengers may have pursuant to EC regulation no. 261/2004 must therefore be addressed to the operating airline. In exercising their rights deriving from EC regulation no. 261/2004 in relation to the operating airline, the Passengers must take the necessary care to safeguard the execution of the holiday package as a whole, and to avoid compromising the rights and faculties of the Organiser based on this contract and the regulations applicable to the same. 16.5 Costa Crociere will include a flight memo in the documentation supplied to the Passengers, which serves the sole purpose of reminding the Passengers of their flight information. The inclusion of the flight memo and/or warnings or other information on air transport and the legislation and contract clauses applicable to the same in the documentation supplied to the Passengers should therefore be regarded as for information purposes only. The name of the airline, the flight number, the departure times, and the locations will all be communicated 3 months prior to departure at the latest. If the booking is made less than 3 months prior to departure, this information will be communicated within 3 business days of the date upon which the booking was made. 16.6 The use of hard copies, trade marks, logos or any other elements making reference to Costa Crociere in the documentation referred to in article 16.5 is due to printing requirements only, and cannot be regarded as a modification and/or denial, even in a tacit or partial sense, of the other terms of this article. 16.7 Any cases of withdrawal and/or failure to use the airline on the part of the Passenger shall be governed by the airline’s general conditions and/or the terms of the transport contract.

13. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ORGANISER 13.1 The Organiser is responsible for any damages caused to the passenger as a result of the total or partial failure to provide the services due under the terms of the contract, whether these are to be provided by the Organiser in person or by third party service providers. The Organiser shall not be held responsible if the damages are caused by the actions of the passenger (including any initiatives taken by the latter during the execution of the holiday services) or a third party not involved in the provision of services under the terms of the agreement, by unforeseen or uncontrollable circumstances, or by any other circumstances that the Organiser could not have foreseen or resolved with the application of due professional diligence. 13.2 All the exemptions, limitations of responsibility, justifications or objections that could be invoked by the Organiser under the terms of this contract also extend to all the parties who are or could be regarded as the personnel of the Organiser, or act as assistants, agents, subcontractors or consultants to the Organiser in any form, as well as the Organiser’s insurance providers. 13.3 The Organiser is not responsible to the passenger for any failure on the part of the Travel Agency, or any other intermediaries involved in the stipulation of the contract, to fulfil their respective obligations. 13.4 Once the Organiser has compensated the Passenger, it takes over the latter’s rights and entitlement to take action against the liable third parties. 14. LIMITS OF COMPENSATION 14.1 Under no circumstances will the compensation owed by the Organiser be greater than the indemnities that apply and the limitations to these as established by European Regulation no. 329/2009 and by the Italian and international regulations in force concerning the service whose failed provision resulted in the damage in question, where applicable. 14.2 If the Organiser is also the builder and/or owner and/or operator and/ or charterer of the vessel used for the cruise, the regulations concerning the limitation of debt under Articles. 275 et seq. of the Italian Navigation Code, or, where applicable, European Regulation no. 392/2009 as amended, shall remain in effect. 15. EXCURSIONS 15.1 The excursions are subject to the general contract conditions of the local operator supplying the services and the applicable national regulations. 15.2 The prices and itineraries of the excursions as published in the catalogue are provided merely as a guideline, and are subject to variations. The schedules and itineraries of the excursions may be subject to change due to circumstances beyond the Organiser’s control, such as weather conditions, strikes, transport delays, etc., and based on the operating requirements of the individual service providers. 15.3 If an excursion is cancelled for technical reasons, due to unforeseen or uncontrollable circumstances, or due to failure to obtain the minimum number of participants, Costa Crociere shall reimburse the Passengers. 15.4 Unless otherwise specified, the excursions will take place using vehicles which are not specifically equipped for Guests with mobility problems. Nevertheless, Costa can recommend excursions suitable for the Guest’s specific needs upon request. Excursions suitable for Guests with slight mobility problems are marked with an appropriate symbol. Prior to purchasing an excursion, therefore, Guests are advised to gather additional information concerning accessibility for disabled participants via the Internet, the catalogue, or the toll-free number. 15.5 Special conditions, requirements, or regulations may apply to certain types

17. SHIP’S DOCTOR 17.1 The use of the services provided by the ship’s doctor is voluntary, and any fees due will be payable by the Passenger. 17.2 The decisions of the ship’s doctor as to whether or not the Passenger is fit to board the vessel and/or continue with the cruise are binding and are not subject to appeal. 18. CUSTODY OF VALUABLES A safe deposit box service is made available to the Passengers on-board the ship. The Organiser shall bear no responsibility for any cash, documents, bonds, jewellery or other precious items that are not kept in these safe deposit boxes.

19. OBLIGATION TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE The Organiser’s obligation to provide assistance to the Passengers is limited to the diligent provision of the services as specified in the contract and the obligations imposed upon it by the current legislation. 20. CLAIMS AND REPORTS Upon penalty of forfeiture, any complaints concerning the organisation or running of the cruise must be reported by the Passenger in the form of a written claim at the time of the event’s occurrence, or, if this is not possible for any reason, within 10 days of the scheduled date of return to the place of departure. The Organiser shall examine all the claims presented promptly and in good faith, and will do everything possible to bring about a swift, fair, amicable settlement. 21. INSURANCE COVER FOR CANCELLATION COSTS/ASSISTANCE, MEDICAL COSTS AND BAGGAGE COSTS 21.1 Upon signing the booking agreement, the Passenger may opt to take advantage of the insurance policy presented along with the application by paying the cost of the premium. 21.2 The insurance relationship is established directly between the Passenger and the insurance company, and the Passenger is therefore exclusive responsible for all the obligations and duties relating to the insurance policy itself. 22. GUARANTEE FUND A National Guarantee Fund has been set up with the Presidency of the Italian Council of Ministers, which Passengers may access, pursuant to article 51 of the Tourism Code, in order to cover the following requirements in the event of insolvency or bankruptcy on the part of the Organiser: a) refund of the price paid; b) repatriation in case of travel abroad. The fund must also provide immediate liquidity in the event of a forced repatriation of tourists from non-EU countries due to emergencies, whether or not these are attributable to the Organiser’s conduct. The procedures by which the Fund operates are established by a Prime Ministerial decree pursuant to article 51 no. 6 of the Tourism Code.
