209.668.0928 • www.otpastries.com Stanislaus County’s freshest bottle of milk. At Nutcher Milk Taste matters. We feed our cows a balance daily ration, that our nutritionist puts together. We pick ingredients that don’t change the flavor of the cow’s milk. When we milk our cows, their milk comes out about 98 degrees and we chill it to 38 degrees within 5 minutes of leaving the cow, saving flavor and preventing bacteria growth. This is above and beyond the Grade A standard. We pump the milk to the processing plant 20 feet away during milking. We then do antibiotic testing to ensure antibiotic free milk. We then pasteurize and homogenize, making it ready to go to the bottle. From cow to bottle in just a few hours and it is only milk from our cows. We offer Whole milk, 2%, Half and Half and Lactose free whole milk.
Fun flavors for young and old. Chocolate, Strawberry, Cotton Candy, Root beer, Orange cream, Mocha, Cold brew Coffee, Eggnog, Pumpkin spice, and always trying new ones.

Fair offers three new, family-friendly exhibits Stingrays, tigers and puppets, oh my! Let your imagination run wild at the Stanislaus County Fair with three new features. The Stanislaus County Fair introduces the interactive Walk in the Wild Exhibit, the spectacular Magical Moments from the Wizard of Oz Marionette Show and the live Stingrays Exhibit. “We try to make each Fair better than the year before, having new exhibits and entertainment achieves that,” said Adrenna Alkhas, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair. “We are extremely excited to have such wonderful, innovative and hands-on attractions at this year’s Fair.” The New Walk in the Wild, presented by Doctors Medical Center and Emanuel Medical Center, will replace the Dinomania Exhibit. Guests can walk through a jungle atmosphere with exotic animals from all over the world, such as tigers and bobcats. Walk in The Wild Side is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping all species of wild animals who, for various reasons, find themselves without a place to live out their lives. The New and exciting Magical Moments from The Wizard of Oz presents beloved songs from the “Wizard of Oz” as Dorothy and Toto dance and sing their way down the "Yellow Brick Road." Meet the Scarecrow, Tin-Man, Cowardly Lion and many other delightful — and not so delightful characters from that classic children’s book by L. Frank Baum. Step back in time with this unique marionettes’ performance, presented on a beautifully hand-crafted Italian Baroque Puppet Theater. This traditional style of puppetry is something rarely seen in today’s modern world. Sea life is also coming to the fairgrounds. This live, hands-on experience allows guests to learn about marine life and all its exotic creatures. Visitors can feed the stingrays as well as touch them while learning. Come check out the world’s only traveling “self-contained” stingray exhibit.

Concert lineup sure to heat up Fair nights The Stanislaus County Fair’s concert lineup has something for everyone, including Country stars, Jazz Rock legends, ‘90s-era favorites and sought-after Banda performers.
Country duo High Valley will kickoff the Fair’s 2019 concert series on opening day, July 12. Growing up in La Crete, Alberta —more than 2,500 miles from where they now live in Music City —Brad and Curtis were completely cut off from the world of pop culture throughout their early lives. While their upbringing didn't exactly acquaint them with the Billboard 100, it’s that insulation that helped cement
their musical ideals and love of simple, classic country, allowing High Valley’s music to feel simultaneously fresh and timeless. High Valley learned to become skilled digital citizens, building an avid fan base that is actively involved in selecting the duo’s songs through the High Valley app and connecting with each other via social media. As a result, they have amassed more than 43 million song streams worldwide –including 22 million for first single “Make You Mine. Likewise, they are the first country act to broadcast live on Twitch.TV in the United States and their song “Young Forever” scored placement on EA Sports’ Madden NFL 17 Soundtrack. The Rempel brothers have already

scored six Top 10s, three Gold certifications, played to 15,000 seat arenas opening for Shania Twain and earned multiple awards show wins –including Canadian CMA Group of the Year. Incredible late ’60 s Jazz Rock band, Blood, Sweat, & Tears will be at the Fair on July 13. “Blood, Sweat, and Tears will be a fun addition to the Fair this year,” said Adrenna Alkhas, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair. “The beloved band’s spirit and liveliness has impacted many artists and on July 13th they will impact many fans.” Blood, Sweat & Tears is not the first band to ever use a horn section, but they are the first to fuse it with rock, jazz and some blues thrown in for good measure. From the first ensemble in the late sixties practicing in a loft on Bleeker Street in New York’s Greenwich Village and having crowds clapping on the street below between songs, founding member and drummer Bobby Colomby knew they were on the right course. Since then, the band hasn’t stopped touring — for over 50 years. Blood Sweat

& Tears has received 10 Grammy nominations and won three, among many other awards.
Ulices Chaidez will bring a fresh new face and sound to Turlock on July 14. This trio of new generation Mexican Regional corrido and banda trio is led by the teenage singer, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter Chaidez. The band hails from Navolato Sinaloa, and its name is an homage to one of Chaidez's heroes, the late Airel Camacho y Los Plebes del Rancho. Chaidez has been playing music since he was six. Besides guitar, he plays fife, bass, and drums, and is studying accordion and violin.
No need to “Die From a Broken Heart” as Maddie & Tae will bring their brand of country to town on July 15. “We are excited to have this sensational young female country duo at our fair this year,” said Alkhas. “They have amazing hits that I know our guests are going to love!” Maddie & Tae became only the third female duo in 70 years to top the country airplay charts, also earning trophies from the Country Music Academy and Radio Disney Music Awards along with multiple Academy of Country Music, CMA and Country Music Television Award nominations. Most recently, the platinum selling duo released their new co-written single, “Friends Don’t,” for their upcoming album to be announced on Mercury Nashville.
One of the best-selling American girlgroups of all-time, TLC, will be at the Fair on July 16. The characters, TLC, merely hint at the talent of Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins, Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas, and the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes. Their journey encompasses immortal anthems such as “Waterfalls,” “Creep,” “No Scrubs,” and “Unpretty,” to name a few, as well as sales of 70 million records worldwide, four GRAMMY Awards, two RIAA diamond-certified albums among a total of four multiplatinum albums, 10 Top 10 singles, and four Number 1 singles.
Amazing country artist Clay Walker will perform at the Fair on July 17. “We are very excited to announce Clay Walker for our 2019 lineup,” said Alkhas. “Clay Walker performed at the Stanislaus County Fair back in 2011 and is sure

to be a crowd-pleasing hit for country music fans during our 10-nights of free celebrity concerts.” Clay Walker has been highly successful in his career. Even 17 years after his first hit, “What’s It To You,” Clay released four platinum albums, two certified gold albums and 11 No. 1 singles. Walker’s motivation is inspired by the experiences he has faced throughout his life. For example, his bar-playing band experience aided in the making of the song “She Won’t Be Lonely Long.” In addition, Walker’s single, “Double Shot of John Wayne” reflects living each day by strength and perseverance. Walker has had to find this strength after being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) at the age of 26. His heroic passion for finding a cure for MS with his charity organization, Band Against MS, stems from his diagnosis in 1996. Though his MS is now contained by medication, he
Timeless essence of southern country rock music is coming to the Stanislaus County Fair on July 18 when The Marshall Tucker Band rolls into town. Still led today by founding member and lead singer Doug Gray, The Marshall Tucker Band represents a time and place in music that will never be duplicated. Gray is quick to credit the band's current dynamic members with carrying on the timeless essence of The Marshall Tucker Band sound. With hit singles like "Heard It In a Love Song," "Fire On The Mountain," "Can't You See," and "Take The Highway," The Marshall Tucker Band earned seven gold and three platinum albums while they were on the Capricorn Records label.

Boy band mania is coming to the Fair on July 20 with iconic pop and contemporary R&B group 98° Degrees. “It’s always wonderful to have a talented group such as 98° Degrees come to our Fair,” said Alkhas. “Guests will feel their passion and the iconic band will take them on a memorable journey of songs from the late ‘90s and early 2000s.” In five short years — from 1997 to 2002 — the Pop & Contemporary R&B vocal
The Stanislaus County Fair concert series will end with Roberto Tapia on July 21. Tapia was born in San Diego, California but grew up in Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico. He started singing and performing at a very young age. At the age of nine he studied music and learned to play various instruments such as clarinet, tambora drum and guitar. Tapia adopted the regional Mexican genre and today he stands out as a Banda performer with his own special style, becoming one of the most sought-after exponents of the genre.

New events highlight Floriculture S T AFF REP ORTS
The Fair’s Floriculture Department is hosting exciting competitions and events this year. Floriculture is so much more than just floral arrangements and potted plants and the Fair aims to highlight that this year. “For four years, I participated in Future Farmers of America (FFA) and didn’t know much about Floriculture. It wasn’t until my senior year of high school that I learned about plant science and found my true passion,” said Lauren Cabral, MJC Plant Science major. “If only I knew about plant science earlier, who knows where I could have been by now.” Watch community members of the area as they compete in the Fair’s very own “Chopped Gone Floral” competition at 1 p.m. July 13. Similar to the cooking show, “Chopped,” on Food Network, the contestants will have 45 mins to complete a floral arrangement that will be judged. The first-place winner will receive a cash prize of $200. Floriculture will be hosting a Small
Engines competition at 5:30 p.m. July 19. Three teams will have to fix a “bug” in their small engine, a piece of landscape equipment. First team to get their engine started will be the winner. There will also be many different hands on activities such as seed bombs, fairy garden doors, succulent plants, and the reading of the storybook “The Frightened Frog.” For more information, visit Stancofair.com/Fair/CompetitiveExhibits/ DailyContests. “The biggest goal for the Floriculture Department is to reach out to the next generation of students as well as fairgoers. We want to include the thoughts and opinions of others and see what our community finds to be interesting. There is so much to be a part of when it comes to floriculture and all that it entails. It’s all about finding your niche. It is not just for those apart of a garden club or any specific program, anyone can do it and we encourage you to come and find out more! We would love to have you,” said Bunnie Becker, Floriculture Superintendent.
The biggest goal for the Floriculture Department is to reach out to the next generation of students as well as fairgoers, according to Floriculture Superintendent Bunnie Becker.

Fair’s empowHER The Stanislaus County Fair is once again aiming to inspire young women with the empowHER Lounge. The lounge helps cultivate empowerment and confidence in young women during the 10 days of the fair through different workshops and speakers. “The empowHER Lounge is a great source for young women in our community to be exposed to various life topics that may seem basic but can, in fact, determine what type of person they will be as future leaders,” said Adrenna Alkhas, spokesperson for the Stanislaus County Fair. “This lounge will make them aware of the importance of their online image, feeling confident, speaking up when necessary and finding one’s cause, among many other subjects.” Alkhas created the lounge with the mentality of teaching young women how to support and nurture one another instead of subduing to the female norm of consistently competing and comparing. Setting such a tone will undeniably yield successful leaders of the future. Through informative and interactive workshops, the empowHER Lounge will be able to support this goal.
The 2019 Stanislaus County Fair opens July 12 for a 10-day run. Visit the Fair’s website for ticket information at www. stancofair.com.
